Sleepy little shortie.
[To say that Yugi's been tired the past couple of days would be an understatement. After seeing Ra show up and having Mahad tell him that the card he found was, in fact, one of the other gods that supposedly served him, he had become absolutely determined to learn how to summon Osiris in the case that it was needed. Power to protect his friends... it was something his other half had, and it was something he wanted, even if the idea still scared him a little.
But Yami and Mahad had encouraged him, and Mahad was teaching him, so he had thrown himself into the lessons with everything he had. And that was the current problem. Even with the magician lessons before this, he simply didn't have the strength or energy to call Osiris into being without seriously hurting himself, so the lessons had been trying to get him up to that point.
And dear god, they were exhausting.
It's why the small teenager is currently curled up on a chair in the lounge, fast asleep with the half-eaten snacks spread across the table in front of him.]

Ehh? Yugi-kun?
[He settles his things down on the table and stands next to the boy, gentle shaking his shoulder.]
Are you feeling alright? [Sleeping in the lounge like this... He gives the boy's forehead a feel to see if he has a temperature.]

[Yugi makes an odd noise as he's shaken awake, blinking a few times before his brain catches up and his eyes focus as he turns to look at Ryou. He certainly doesn't have even the beginnings of a fever, being completely normal, though he yawns a little loudly.]
Oh, Ryou-kun... did I fall asleep?

[He smiles sweetly, feeling a little bad for waking the boy.]
I guess so. I was worried maybe you were sick, sleeping out here like that... Do you want me to help you back to your room?

I'm okay! I'm just kind of worn out from practicing, that's all.
[Yami, slower to wake than Yugi, just now has. He leans on the chair behind Yugi in spiritual form, drumming his fingers against it even as he lifts a hand to yawn himself, holding it up in greeting at Ryou afterwards.]

If you're sure. What were you practicing, anyway? I mean, if you don't mind me asking. [He curiously inquires, tilting his head and taking a seat nearby. Yugi-kun didn't look like he'd been running or anything, so he has to wonder what would have worn him out so badly.]

I don't mind! I was practicing with Mahad to get stronger and have more magic to work with, so I could summon this.
[He pulls a card out of his deck, placing it face up on the table so Ryou can see.]

Maybe he and Mahad were just roleplaying...]
Ehh, what's that from? That new trading card game?

[He can tell what Ryou's thinking from the look on his face, and he's reminded that this one doesn't have the Ring. It's so weird having different Ryous... but then, people probably feel the same about him and Yami.]
Um, Ryou-kun... I'm going to tell you something that's probably going to sound really crazy, but I promise that it's true! Can you believe me?

[Ahh, Yugi-kun... He has to wonder how something could possibly sound crazier than having another yourself. No offense, he feels guilty even thinking it! He's one to talk after all, and he accepts Yugi wholeheartedly for who he is.
Still, with Yugi being like that, Ryou's kind of worried.]

This monster is real. He's a very nice person, and a good friend of mine, but he's real. There was a lot of magic a long time ago, and he turned himself into this monster to always serve the Pharaoh he really cared a lot about. He's been teaching me how to use magic... and how to get strong enough to summon Osiris.
That way... if something happens, I can protect my friends like you.

But whether what Yugi says proves to be true or not doesn't really matter to Ryou in the end. He's far too happy to hear Yugi-kun call him his friend to care about the technicalities.]
Yugi-kun, thank you. [He reaches out, patting the smaller boy's hand reassuringly.] Whatever it is you're doing, I'll support you, okay? I won't let you down, not after you trusted me.

[Ryou is always Ryou... even different versions.]
I'll be okay, I think... but if I fall asleep again, come wake me up.

Do you want me to stay with you? That way, I can make sure you don't nod off. But really, Yugi-kun, if you're that tired maybe you should go take a nap.
