Duel 002: Peaceful Days! The Fluffiest Training Montage Commences

[It's a bit of a pain, being in a school with no teachers.

Ryou Bakura isn't the type of kid who really likes being too active; he's about on the level of most ordinary teenagers. But after being laid up for so long with the burns to his arms and leg, not only is he extremely restless, but he's sure even his metabolism won't hold up much longer, with the amount he eats. That's why, after checking to see that Henry isn't home to take him up on that training offer, he's decided to try treating this like school and taking an hour or so to do his very own gym class, all by himself. It'd be easier with teachers, but... he doesn't have a choice right now.

Most kids probably would just take the break and be lazy, but right now, Ryou's working hard. Apart from the occasional break, he can be found pretty easily in the east wing, dressed in gym clothes and doing everything from running laps on the track field to climbing ropes.

...though that last one is more like 'falling off ropes'. Stupid mats... they don't cushion that fall at all. Hopefully nobody's dumb enough to stand below him.]

Ow...

[Time for a banana and some water, he thinks.]

Ah, I'm so tired...

It'll fly sometimes... but not often. But I warned you, remember? I locked it away in there while I was training so I wouldn't get distracted.

I guess he really wanted to come out. It must have been cold in there.

It was probably pretty cold, though... can he feel cold like that?

Who knows? He doesn't talk to me much. But he seems annoyed, so probably.

Pretty much! Maybe he's not dueling enough, if he's that grouchy!

...then again, Jun was always pretty grouchy too. Maybe he just needs some good duels!

Aha...ha... I don't think he's duelled that many people for a while.

Well, I'll have to give it to him, then! Maybe then he can be a lot less grouchy!

[Judai will just drink his soda once it's cold and wait for you. And glance curiously at the bathroom when he hears the too-loud giggles. Is there some joke he's missing out on?]

It sounds like duelling him is a good idea, as long as you come out of it intact.

He promised no ghosts except him, so it should be fine!

Well yeah! We've dueled before. But those are Duel Monsters. That's different.

...how are ghostly monsters different from normal ghosts?

Because they're monsters! They're still working out with the duelist and helping, right? But GHOST ghosts, they're just kinda... crazy. Last time I saw them, they tried to eat me and the guy I was dueling with!

[But the other him might be worse. Sigh. Well, Judai has to have figured out the spirit's crazy by now, right?]

It was! Thankfully, Winged Kuriboh helped me out of there... the guy'd set up a fake duel of darkness thing before the spirits went nuts, so I didn't realize those ghosts made it real until the end where my partner helped out.

Yeah, it was... really freaky. I got out okay, though not so sure about the other guy.

Bakura promised no spirits, though! And he said it was just for fun, since he wanted to "see how I handled it" or something. Couldn't turn it down then!
