Kai stops and frowns, looking down at Karasu and then away. He's been unsure of himself and his Darkness ever since he arrived here, and wishing more than anything he had someone to keep him out of trouble, even while he was telling himself he didn't need it. And now...

He's still got an arm around her, which surprises him a little, if only because he tends to pull away from people when he gets like this.
