His "strategy" involves using rare and powerful cards more than anything, and the one or two combos he utilizes aren't very effective in this new dueling style, and they leave him utterly vulnerable once broken.
It's a losing battle, even if he initially puts up a fight and seems to be a worthy threat, everything eventually falls apart on him.
