[Up in the North Wing, there's a pounding on one of the doors. Someone or something wants out. But what's worse is the crying. The sounds of a woman, frightened to the point of tears, pounding on the door, hoping someone will let her out.]

P-please... [She sobs.] Please, Harry, open the door.

[The sobs continue for a while longer, alongside the desperate pounding on the door.]




Please don't leave me alone. Please!




Somebody?



[The weeping begins again.]

[Ryou hears the crying, the desperation in that woman's voice chilling him to the bone and rooting him to the spot. It's not until she starts crying for a second time that he finally manages to move, rushing over to the door and placing his hand on the handle.

He doesn't want to startle her, so he speaks first.]

M-miss! I'm going to open the door, so please step back!

[When Roy hears the commotion he instinctively tries to find the source of it. Upon finding the door where the poor woman was screaming behind, he can't help a moment of hesitation as he looks down the hall to see if anyone else was around to hear all of this. There was just something about her screams that brought him back to the wasteland; he's definitely heard screams like that before.

Only a moment goes by before he's moving closer to the door and taking hold of the handle, attempting to try and calm her down as he turns the knob to open the door.]

Hey! I'm lettin' you out, okay? It'll be okay.

[He has no idea if that's even true, but he's not very good at comforting people.]

[ Snake had gotten a bit more accustomed to this place, and eventually found himself up in the North Wing. Of course, that banging and crying was enough to get his attention. It sounded like a woman.

He hurried to the door it was coming from, placing a hand on it. ]

Calm down, I'll open the door for you. [ He didn't know who Harry was, but he wasn't about to leave her there to panic. ]

Is...is someone there? Let me out. Please.

[She taps at the door again, but then stops, praying that whoever is on the other side will keep to their word.]

Un! It's Bakura Ryou... I'm opening the door now, okay?

[Ryou waits a moment and then twists the knob, easing the door open to as to hopefully not scar the woman on the other side. He moves with the door, making sure she has a clear path in case she chooses to rush out.]

[A blonde woman tumbles out, dressed as a nurse. For a moment, she seems still seems unstable, wiping blood tears away from her eyes. But then the moment has passed and she slowly pulls herself up to her feet.]

Th-thank you. I... I don't know how I got in there.

[She blinks up at Roy, then looks past him in confusion.] Where are we?

Thank you. [There's a few sniffles behind the closed door, but the pounding stops.

Once the door opens and a woman stumbles out, looking confused and frightened. It looks like she's been weeping blood No, that must have been an illusion. The woman seems normal enough, if a bit frightened. She looks around, clearly confused.]

Where are we? I was just in the hospital, finishing my rounds for the day.

[ Was that... blood? No... maybe just imagining things. ]

A... hospital? [ He looks her over... that explains the way she's dressed. ] Who's Harry? Why were you screaming for him?

[A nurse stumbles out, blinking in confusion as she glances over the unfamiliar surroundings. Her gaze flickers over to Ryou as she wipes away her tears, then down to her hand in puzzlement. It's almost as if she doesn't know why she was crying in the first place. Hesitantly, she smiles at the boy.]

Thank you. I don't know how I got in there. But this isn't part of the hospital. Where am I?

SECRET VIEW: ALL THE BLOOD

Harry? Right, that man. He... he was looking for someone. His daughter, I think. I thought he might be able to help me, but he locked me in that room for some reason.

[She frowns, still bewildered by everything and perhaps a little dazed.]

I'm- I'm sorry. I'm Lisa. Lisa Garland. [She smiles a little.] I work in Alchemilia Hospital. But... this doesn't see, to be it.

[Roy does a bit of a double take as she wipes tears from her eyes. Did she...? Nah, his lack of proper sleep must be getting to him. He tries to at least help her to her feet in case she was hurt, but she seemed fine. And hot, but for once he's a little too busy being rattled by the last couple of minutes to notice. Okay maybe he still noticed.]

Uh, shit. [She must be new. He hated having to explain this kind of thing, because most people just shrugged it off as lunacy anyway.] Some island. No one really knows how we got here or how to get out.

You okay, though? I mean, ya need to sit down or somethin'?

[ Snake doesn't think about it too much... He hasn't really got a reason to. The old soldier nods his head a bit. ]

This place is a school. There aren't any students, the only staff here are a nurse, some awful lunch lady and a voice over the intercom. People are brought here from all over the place... Different times, different worlds. [ Shakes his head. He knew this song and dance. ] I guess we're supposed to fill the void the students usually would.

You're welcome, Miss. [At least she seems to have stopped crying now.] As for you question... I really don't know. It seems to be a school, but there's no classes, and some of the people here...

[He rubs the back of his head, smiling nervously.] Well, you'll think I'm crazy if I tell you. I've only been here a few days, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask.

But why? I'm just a nurse in some little town in the middle of nowhere. Why would anyone want to kidnap me?

[She wraps her arms around herself, still glancing around. But the mention of the man's name distracts her a little.]

Snake? [A tiny little laugh.] I've seen patients with all sorts of nature names, but I think this is the first time I've ever met a 'Snake'.

It doesn't care where you're from. These sorts of places will take anyone and everyone. Whether you're important or not... Whether you think you're important or not.

[ He takes out a cigarette. ]

Yeah... Well, hopefully it's the only time.

I think I'd like that. I was really scared when I was locked up in there. I should probably get off of my feet.

[She was starting to get the idea that something was wrong with this place, and not in the way everything had been wrong before. If only she could get some White Claudia to help with the transition. Maybe it'd even make whatever this man was saying make sense.]

Islands? But I was in a hospital last.

Important? [There was something in the back of her mind that reacted to that. But thinking about it she wasn't sure she could handle at the moment, so Lisa forced them back away.

She rubs her eyes again, looking around. Tensing up, she turns back to the door that she had just been released from. However, it is closed and firmly locked. Lisa shivers a little. So many things didn't make sense here. But this wasn't the first time she had been trapped somewhere confusing.]

Is there somewhere that I could rest? I'm still really disoriented from all of this.

You... you didn't lock me in there, did you?

A school? But Alchemilia isn't connected to a school. I believe you, though. Stranger things have happened. Who would be a good person to ask?

[None of this made any sense to her.]

[ Snake furrows his brow at that comment. ]

Nno. Why would I lock you in there? Besides, if I did, why would I let you out? [ Shakes his head. ] I had nothing to do with that. You said it yourself... Some guy named Harry locked you in.

[ He gestures for her to follow him. ] I'll take you to the nurse's office. You'll fit right in there.

[The thought occurs to her that this might be a sanity effect, but she shrugs it off. If it isn't... there's no way she can let this poor woman stay locked up. But if she's this panicked, that means the door shouldn't open too easily, right? Just in case-]

[A woman comes stumbling out. She's not immediately looking at her rescuer. To say she's a mess would be a massive understatement. There's blood everywhere.]

[Looking up, the nurse holds her arms out to Alex, blood oozing out of her eyes, her mouth, her nose, staining her dress.]

[Oh shit, that was a new one. There's so much blood... everywhere, all over her. Like a flood of red that shouldn't be existing. Nobody could lose that much blood and still keep standing, right?

She stares, wide-eyed, and staggers backwards.]

[Okay, okay, calm down. The girl just... hit her head, right? Hesitantly, she reaches out, trying to make sure that the lady is even real at all.]

I...No...something's happening to me. Help me! I need...

[She staggers to one side, grabbing the other woman's hand. She was definitely real. As was the blood that she was inadvertently smearing on Alex's wrist]

[Hoooly shit this is bad. Grasping the woman's hand, feeling the slickness of that blood and the chill of her skin, she focuses-
