Announcement 001
[Whether you're waking up in the clinic just now, or have already done so and are now wandering the halls, a sudden screech of microphone feedback blares over the speakers before fading back out.
A moment later, a woman clears her throat. Her voice is husky and mature, but still feminine, and overall she sounds very authoritative...if not a bit sarcastic.]
Good evening, and welcome to the new school year. I hope your arrival was a pleasant one, last year everybody threw-up from motion sickness, it was quite messy.
[There's a long pause as she seems to think, or perhaps just let any anticipated bustling chatter calm down.] Now, you're all intelligent human beings...for the most part. But I suppose I'll pretend I'm talking to the insipid uneducated masses for a moment; it shouldn't prove too difficult.
[She clears he throat again.] In every hall, you shall find a small intercom. You may use that to ask me any questions after my announcements and "privately" converse. Now, if you head North down one of the halls near the clinic in the Central Wing and keep going, you'll eventually come to either the West or East Dorm Wings, depending on which fork in the road you chose. There you'll find all necessary bunk beds and spare socks.
So, make sure you're all well rested for class in the morning; we wouldn't want to get a failing grade now would we?
[And with that, there's another burst of feedback before her announcement abruptly ends. Anybody who had been wandering the halls will notice a distinct lack of...well, anybody else aside from new arrivals, the Nurse, and the Lunch Lady.
The strange woman over the loudspeakers may have mentioned classes, but the school seemed completely devoid of any teachers to provide those classes. In fact, a lot of things seemed...off.]

Have fun, and don't forget to tag the post with your series name and use warning headers when necessary!

Class. Well, it's been some time since our punk rock days and I doubt that's the 'in' style anymore. Still, something isn't right here. It's worth checking into, don't you think, Zach?
no subject
He's holding a small black device near his mouth.]
Diane, I seem to be in a school. A building that doesn't seem to be in Twin Peaks. Perhaps I'm dreaming? [He chuckles] Which would be strange to have you with me here in a dream. Oh.
[He spots the other man]
There seems to be someone else here, I'll get back to you later.
[He puts the device away and approaches the other man.]
no subject
It seems like we're not the only ones out of place.
[ Ending his private conversation, York's reaching inside his suit for his badge. He holds it up once the man's within distance. ]
FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan. Please, just call me York.
[ He tucks his badge away. ]
You wouldn't happen to have any information regarding the current location, would you?
no subject
[He holds out his own badge.]
I'm FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper.
[he tucks the badge away.]
Unfortunately I don't. I was hoping you did.
no subject
[ York casts a glance back down the hall in the general direction of the clinic. ]
Aside from us, the selection seems... random. As though that's the point.
no subject
[He glances in the same direction.]
I'm not really sure if I fully understand whats going on here, got any ideas?
no subject
[ He plucks a cigarette from his pack of Heavies and places it between his lips, making no move to light it just yet. ]
... I believe we'll need to start there.
no subject
[His brows furrow deep in thought.]
Why would someone collect random people, and place them in a campus?
I wonder if the perpetrator had some trauma involving their time in school. Perhaps they forced others into this campus because of that? But then again why just do that and leave them to wander? Unless perhaps... they're planning on more than just kidnapping us.
no subject
[
As long as one of the rooms has a working coffee maker...As soon as he places his pack away, he moves to collect the unlit cigarette from his lips and holds it between his fingers. York then shifts his body away from Cooper and places his other hand against his temple. He lowers his voice considerably. ]A new investigation with a fellow agent. It's a nice change of pace - isn't it, Zach?
no subject
[
God help this campus if there's no coffee...He doesn't mind him leaning away to address some mystery person. It wasn't all that odd to him. He himself addressed Diane often, and he was less odd than the woman with the log back in Twin Peaks. He just casually looks around the hallway.]I find it odd, that I have not been able to locate the name of this building, or of the campus. Have you had any luck?
no subject
Hey, can you tell me about this place?
no subject
It appears to be a school. Past that, I'm afraid I'm as in the dark as you are.
no subject
Yeah, I got that much.
[He sighs, but remembers to hold out a hand for a shake and offer an introduction.] I'm Agent Norman Jayden, FBI. Who are you?
no subject
[ Either he doesn't notice the man extending out his hand or he simply doesn't bother with it. ]
I take it you woke up in the nurse's office, Norman. Is that correct?
no subject
[That's a relief. However peculiar this situation, at least there are others from the same organization.
But after a few seconds of holding his hand out awkwardly and receiving no return shake, Norman drops his arm back to his side and clears his throat.]
Er, yeah. That's right. I tried leaving too, but something stopped me when I tried to get past the courtyard.
no subject
Strange. [ York's interest is clearly piqued. ] Was there something physically blocking your path?
no subject
Who are you talking to?
no subject
[ He pulls out his badge, flashing it to the youth. York doesn't seem put off by his appearance. ]
FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan. Please, just call me York - everyone does.
[ The badge is returned to the pocket inside the lining of his suit. ]
Do you happen to be familiar with this place?
no subject
[Naoki gives the badge a bored glance in the midst of that sort of ominous one-liner.]
...You can call me Kashima, I guess. [God, he's forgotten how manners work for the Japanese, let alone this...American? He's going to guess he's American.]
[But to York's question, he offers a shrug.] No idea, I just woke up here. It kind of gave me deja vu.
no subject
[ He taps a finger against his chest and cants his head to the left as he waits for a reply. ]
no subject
Waking up in a hospital bed in a strange place. That's how I first saw the Vortex World.
And now...humans? You're a human, right? [He takes a few steps towards York, his presence a bit uneasy and his eyes scrutinizing as he does.]
I don't get it...
no subject
[ York's brow arches at that, clearing questioning. He doesn't have time to voice it; the youth is closing in and asking a question of his own. York can only stay his ground. ]
Yes, human. Am I to assume you're from this 'Vortex World'?
no subject
Sort of. I used to live in Tokyo before the Conception happened, and the world changed.
[He furrows a brow and glances around.]
But this place...seems more like back home than the Vortex World. There's no demons...
