An interesting development...
[To say that the other Yugi had been watching like a hawk after the puzzle was stolen would be an understatement. Usually, he was more than happy to lazily watch from the back of their mind, or just rifle through their memories when he "woke up" after resting for a while. But lately, he'd been staying "awake," keeping an eye out for threats and carefully steering Yugi around if he sensed one.
But it had given him an odd view he hadn't before. Normally, he'd been happy enough to just watch and let his other personality enjoy himself, but now... he felt a desire to do a few things himself. And so, he'd done something he never did before. Two things, in fact.
The first was that, when he took over, he let Yugi stay awake -- and why not? There was nothing he needed to protect Yugi from now. The second...
Was that he had asked permission, first. Yugi had been shocked -- cute little other half he was -- but agreed, and now he seemed fascinated by the feeling, or lack thereof.
Right now, the other Yugi can be found wandering most anywhere around the Campus, occasionally pausing on the roof for a breath of air or the lounge to munch on a snack.]

[Funny, he didn't see any screaming people running away. So the other Yugi being out was definitely alarming.]

[He quirks an eyebrow at Bakura, popping a chip into his mouth.]

[He quirks an eyebrow back at him, casually reaching out to steal a chip.]

Since I decided to try being in control for more than just inflicting punishments~, Yokai-kun~.
no subject
What? Isn't that a bit hypocritical, Yugi?
no subject
Why do you think that?
no subject
You were all gung-ho about my taking over my host a while back, but you're overriding your weaker half so easily...

[Munch munch~. These are good chips.]
If they were putting people away, shouldn't it be you, Yokai-kun~?

So how can I be anything but a normal spirit?
no subject
Because he's not going to be playing nice.]
As a matter of fact, I have... did you know what he did, Yo~kai~kun~?
[Despite the inflection, his voice is entirely cruel and icy.]
no subject
I don't have too much of a clue, but it must have been bad. I nearly had to mercy-kill the bastard.
[The voice alone gives him chills. Damn, Yugi... if he'd known you had this side in your past, he'd have been a lot nicer to the you he knows.]

[Yami lifts up his hand, pointing it at Bakura in the mimic of a gun.]
A shot in the back, when Mahad was just passing through to find me... and a shot in the head, once he was helpless and bleeding.
For no reason at all... and I don't think that Penalty Game was punishment enough.
[A cruel grin splits Yami's face, matching the tone of his voice.]
Yokai-kun~... why don't we play a game~?

[He doesn't know the name. As much as his mind strains to recall it, it's a blank, and his expression makes that clear. Pressing a hand to his head, he listens to the rest as he tries to recall. Has he heard that name? It's not clear. No image returns.
The other name Yugi mentioned, the Black Magician... that one he knows. But that's just a regular duel monster, right? ...albeit one that's unnaturally responsive to its wielder.
But then the other Yugi mentions a game and his eyes widen in surprise and something resembling fear. He saw the state of the other him's mind back then...]
O-oy! You can't blame me for what that guy did here!
no subject
[Yami laughs darkly, leaning forward to rest his head on his hand as he fixes that cold look -- that hate-filled glare -- right on the other spirit.]
A little too lay to cry unfair, Yokai-kun!
no subject
Fine, then! I don't consider that damn fool to be my responsibility, but I won't run away from it, either.
no subject
And then he leans back, laughing, most of the cold and hatred gone to be replaced with that old, teasing laugh.]
Heh! You're an interesting one, Yokai-kun. Lucky for you, I don't either. I'm not someone like you, after all...
But you should make sure he knows that I won't show him any mercy if he tries that again. That or stealing my Puzzle.

[Was... that guy just fucking with him?!]
I told him that already. I found him in the corridor afterwards, and waited for him to wake up. It took a while, and by the end I was about ready to stab him in the throat and see if he revived sane, but within an hour of waking up, he seemed back to normal.
That guy won't heed any warnings. You should probably watch your back. He'll keep going after that puzzle until it's carved into that hard head of his.
I'm surprised, though. I saw inside of his mind. The remnants of that penalty... they were pretty hellish.
