the_campus | An interesting development...

[To say that the other Yugi had been watching like a hawk after the puzzle was stolen would be an understatement. Usually, he was more than happy to lazily watch from the back of their mind, or just rifle through their memories when he "woke up" after resting for a while. But lately, he'd been staying "awake," keeping an eye out for threats and carefully steering Yugi around if he sensed one.

But it had given him an odd view he hadn't before. Normally, he'd been happy enough to just watch and let his other personality enjoy himself, but now... he felt a desire to do a few things himself. And so, he'd done something he never did before. Two things, in fact.

The first was that, when he took over, he let Yugi stay awake -- and why not? There was nothing he needed to protect Yugi from now. The second...

Was that he had asked permission, first. Yugi had been shocked -- cute little other half he was -- but agreed, and now he seemed fascinated by the feeling, or lack thereof.

Right now, the other Yugi can be found wandering most anywhere around the Campus, occasionally pausing on the roof for a breath of air or the lounge to munch on a snack.]

So what does he do about the ones who can't simply be deflected? The ones who abuse and harm... who trample over our souls without a thought?

That's right... the original holder of that Puzzle. He's probably sleeping inside of it right now... unknowing of all of this.

As to that, I don't know. He destroyed the mind of at least two people back on Duelist Kingdom, but let the worst of them go free. I punished Pegasus myself by proxy when I ripped out that Millennium Eye of his.

Most of the time, he just beats them as many times as it takes and moves on. Yugi and the others seem to handle trauma pretty well by then, so he doesn't need to do anything else.

[Yami casually leans on his hand again, listening carefully. Interesting... so that Yugi and his friends were strong enough to handle it? But he's certain there were still people who wouldn't take a defeat as enough, and keep coming.

He wonders if that other Yugi still has the utter innocence that he does. Most likely not, at least not in the way he does.

[He chuckles a little teasingly, but leans back casually, clearly not intending anything.]

I don't need anything from that guy anyway. I already got what I wanted from him.

As to my host... I'm not harming him. Why would I inconvenience myself needlessly?
