Who likes random dream jesters?
[For those who happen to be near the forest today, they're hearing a pretty little melody played on what sounds like a simple flute of some sort. If nothing else, it definitely has a very dream-like quality to it, and those who listen too long or too deeply may find themselves falling asleep.
For those who follow it to the source, they'll find the musician isn't too hard to find, though it might not be what they're expecting. The one playing the (invisible) flute is a jester creature of some sort, floating at least a foot off the ground with one leg crossed over the other and apparently sitting on nothing but air. The actual gender of the creature is nearly impossible to tell by looking over him/her/it, as if nature itself tried to make whoever it is as ambiguous as possible.
Whoever he is, he doesn't seem to notice you, only playing away for the little birds and other animals who've come to listen.]
((In terms of gender, use whatever pronouns you like! While I default to male, whatever gender you/your character assumes is the gender I'll be using the pronouns for, so don't be shy! As a note, this is also post-event now that it's over, seeing as NiGHTS does have a habit of playing, so doing it for a couple days isn't odd.))

You bastard.]Hm?
[That sound echoing through the trees... He'd only come out for a moment, but that sound caught his attention. And him without shoes... or much else, for that matter. Oh well. He wasn't about to mind the roughness of the forest on his feet.
And unlike Ryou, he wasn't dumb enough to almost get bitten by a snake, either.
Following the sound onwards led to the mysterious sight of...
Uh. Was that a floating jester?]
Hoh... So it was you making that sound. Who the hell are you?
no subject
Is this bastard too lazy to walk?]Me? I'm NiGHTS. And who are you?
[Even the voice sounds like it could be male or female...]
no subject
A bastard after his own heart. He raises an eyebrow, looking the stranger over. 'NiGHTS'? What the hell kind of name was that?]
Quite the unusual name...
I'm Bakura.
no subject
[Around and around and around the boy he goes, where he stops... right here in front of Bakura again, in fact.]
But then again, you aren't a Visitor here, are you?
no subject
[He turns his head to follow the... man? Woman? Child? He can't tell... as he circles. It's rather dizzying, and not exactly a pleasant feeling, but there's no threat he can sense from him... rather, what he does sense is... odd. An eclectic mix of darkness and light. What the hell is this guy?]
no subject
[He doesn't sound particularly worried about the situation. It almost sounds like he's just bored.]
no subject
['Set'... What kind of bullshit was that?]
no subject
[He lounges back, "sitting" on nothing again as he kicks his leg a little with a sigh.]
Say. Why don't you try flying?
no subject
[Okay, curious evasion of question and mysterious reference to people transcending dimensions while they sleep aside...]
You know ordinary people can't fly, right? As much as I'd like to, I don't exactly have that ability.
no subject
no subject
'Dualize'?
...How do I do that?
no subject
[He bends at the waist, one arm behind his back, almost as if he's doing some overly formal bow as he extends his hand, palm up, for Bakura's.]
no subject
Heh. Oh well. You only live once... unless you're him. Leisurely, he places his hand in NiGHTS'.]
no subject
...And then, the body he's aware of is both his own and not. He can feel his, but it's slightly at a distance, though definitely able to be called if he tries. With it currently put away, however, the body he's feeling -- seeing through -- is NiGHTS's own, and the knowledge of how to use it to fly, what it can do, dances at the edge of his mind, like an almost conscious muscle memory.]
Well, come on, then. Let's go!
[As NiGHTS moves, so too does Bakura, as if the two are now wholly and utterly linked.]
no subject
This is...
[Remarkable? Fascinating? Eerie? He's not sure. It's like being a ghost... and isn't that an ironic comparison? Instead, he lets the words die and just nods.]
Sure. Let's go.
no subject
[And with that, NiGHTS is off, not quite like a rocket, but definitely speeding through the air faster than any humanoid has any business to on their own. It quickly becomes apparent that he's quite a show-off, as he constantly drops down to duck and weave around the trees, doing twirls around the branches or just loops in the air, the latter of which seem to create a weird surge of something. Paralooping will come if Bakura thinks about that -- anything caught in it gets dissipated or teleported elsewhere, depending on what he -- NiGHTS -- wants.
After a bit of this, NiGHTS flies back up above the forest.]
All right, then. You give it a try!
no subject
At the suggestion, he nods. For all his many faults, he's no coward. He doesn't even hesitate. Laughing, he dives right into it, feeling the thrill of it and forgetting his annoyances. There's no room for anything else. This is amazing!]
no subject
Not bad! You're getting the hang of it quickly.
no subject
[If he were less of a dignified spirit of pure evil he would be going WHEEEEEE.]
no subject
[If only Octopaw were here. He'd like to see how Bakura does on making Links! But there's no rings in this place, or even chips. Just empty space.]
This world seems very boring. It's dreary and there's not much here.
no subject
Is it any surprise that people love to sleep so much? Heheheh...
no subject
[NiGHTS is teasing a little, of course; even if this is boring, that is how their world is. After all, his seems amazing to the few Visitors he's talked to.]
But it wouldn't be that hard to make a little better. A few rings and obstacles to fly through and it would be that much more fun!
no subject
no subject
Why don't you try?
no subject
[Rings, huh...]
