[Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, you will hear the loud screeching of a microphone through the speakers before it dies down. Not long after, a familiar husky voice blares through said speakers.

Although her tone is somewhat pleasant, she manages to keep her authoritative tone as well.]

Good afternoon. [There's a brief pause.] You've all been quite busy, haven't you? It's, hm...interesting to watch, to say the least. But do keep the property damage to a minimum, will you? It's awfully rude to smash people's property on arrival, don't you think?

[Despite that warning, she manages a soft (if a bit ominous) chuckle.]

That being said, I hope you're all well rested. A good rest means a good grade, after all~.

[There's another burst of feedback before the announcement comes to an end.]

[He presses the button on the intercom.] H-hello ma'am! uh...

How are you today? [Oh please sexy lady- just bless Kintaro with your heavenly voice once more..!]

Huh? Oh, yeah, I guess. [Ivan's not even pretending to care with how offhandedly he says that.]

More importantly, I'm Major Ivan Raikov. And I'm glad to hear you don't snore, because the only remedies I know for that are quite painful!

[Yuj folds his arms at first in a huff but then stops himself from saying what is on his mind. Not yet, anyway. He hears the rank and freezes, his arms drop to his sides and gulps.]

I'm Yuj. No last name, no rank, just Yuj.

[And suddenly he's feeling very outclassed because he's not in familiar territory let along a familiar planet.]

So, I guess that makes you really important.

Uh... [Leo just blinks; staring up at the man for a moment before suddenly realizing that is is, perhaps, a bit rude to stare.]

[For such a big guy, he certainly seems polite enough. Leo gives him a small smile; noting the way he immediately reached out to steady the smaller fighter by the shoulder..]

Oh-- um, yeah... [A bit awkwardly, Leo offers a short bow of apology.] Verzeih mir; I wasn't really paying attention... Sorry about that.

[Ivan catches a glimpse of that huff, and it just makes him feel so damn good. Not to mention it made Yuj look very, very cute.]

Just Yuj. Got it.

[He chuckles and starts to walk again.]

Very important, yes. I'm second rank only to the Colonel.

[He stops and blinks for a moment.]

That's pretty high up there.

[But he notices that Ivan is still walking so he jogs to catch up, but still keeping one step behind him.]

Uh, so why the sudden interest in me? I'm not anyone special.

[ The reaction earns a slight smile on the cybrid's part though it is a bit awkward. He certainly isn't used to the scrutinization; enhancements are common back home and his height's nothing to write home about. But then the nurse had been small too, hadn't she?

He drops his arm back to his side, convinced they're fine at this point. ]

[Ivan debates stringing a few lies together to tell Yuj, but in the end he decides to tell the truth.

Well, a small fraction of the truth.]

Vulpes Inculta. [He looks Lee over, sizing him up.] Not a wastelander, are you?

[A light chuckle.] No... no harm done. I'm pretty sure we're both more durable than to be hurt by a little bump. Still- I really should have been watching where I was going. It's just...

[A bit more seriously.] ...It's just that I was doing a little bit of looking around. That announcement just now kind of confirmed what I had already been suspecting for a while, so I figured I'd go looking for... something...

[A pair of breasts woman sidles up to Boone rather smoothly; leaning her shoulder against the wall as she faces him with a smile.]

I could really use a smoke myself right about now, if you don't mind. I can make it worth your while...

[Boone glances over, does a double-take, then grunts and averts his eyes. Alright, he wasn't expecting that.]

...Yeah.

[He pulls out another cigarette and hands it to the woman, keeping his eyes pointedly on her face as he also hands her a lighter.]

Don't worry about payment. No use for money here.

[Yuj stands still and blinks, stunned by the admission and the way he says it only makes him blush.]

Really? Wow, thanks!

[Energized he partly skips now with his hands behind his back, completely forgetting what's been done to him previously.]

Uh, what's the other?

[Like Vulpes, neither does Lee and he's fed up with cages even if he's only been here a week. If he could read the other's mind, he'll agree with him 100%. He shakes his head slowly at the question.]

No. Though I have had my share of strife throughout my years. I don't really care for petty politics or sycophantic idealism. A pleasure meeting you, Vulpes.

[Fighting in the streets as child and growing up knowing violence, he's learned a thing or two about how cruel the world can be especially since he was once exiled for his miscalculated tactic to overthrow his tyrannical father.]

[She sounds perfectly calm now, if a bit condescending.] Do settle down, Mr. Crawford. Save your energy for something more worthwhile. No one will come looking for you here, and demanding I let you go is pointless.

[She sounds like she's a little put off by that first comment.]

What I think absolutely matters. I am the law here, after all.

[There's a pause of her own.]

Now, now. If I wanted you to know that I would have told you from the beginning, don't you think?

[intercom_voice]

There is no such club, but I encourage the student body to get involved and create some of their own. Extracurricular activities are important, after all.

[She gives the man a sly smirk.] I was talking about something much more 'special' than money, actually. [The blonde teasingly winks.] Now I guess you'll never know what~...

[Reaching out, she accepts the cigarette and lighter with a short nod.] -But I appreciate it... [A brief pause, before she makes an educated guess.] ...-soldier?

[Placing the cigarette between her lips, she sparks a flame to life with the lighter and takes a long drag before exhaling with a sigh.] Mmn.... That's much better~

Oh, okay. Well, thanks. I guess I can give it a try then.

[Yuj winces internally, because taking an initiative like that to someone that's a little shy is not going to be easy.]

[intercom_voice]

[Oh what a polite young man. And maybe just a bit nervous? Good, good.]

I am quite well, thank you.

[Still sounding mostly all business at the moment, but she adds just a bit of pleasantry to her tone.]

[For his progress, that is. But she'll make no effort to sound less menacing. No pressure, Yuj!]

[Ah- of course she was. Boone doesn't return the smirk, simply puffing on his own cigarette and holding his hand out for the lighter.]

Guess not, huh. [He shrugs slightly in response to her question.] Used to be.

[He isn't anymore- he put that behind him after Bitter Springs and meeting Carla.]

[He looks visibly uncomfortable. Oh man, she just had to say it like that.]

Y-yeah, okay.

[Oh god, his day just went from bad to worse, because now Ivan wants him too. Gee, karma, what did he ever do to you?]
