[Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, you will hear the loud screeching of a microphone through the speakers before it dies down. Not long after, a familiar husky voice blares through said speakers.

Although her tone is somewhat pleasant, she manages to keep her authoritative tone as well.]

Good afternoon. [There's a brief pause.] You've all been quite busy, haven't you? It's, hm...interesting to watch, to say the least. But do keep the property damage to a minimum, will you? It's awfully rude to smash people's property on arrival, don't you think?

[Despite that warning, she manages a soft (if a bit ominous) chuckle.]

That being said, I hope you're all well rested. A good rest means a good grade, after all~.

[There's another burst of feedback before the announcement comes to an end.]

What you think something is doesn't matter. Law dictates that your "borrowing" is a criminal offense.

[ There's a pregnant pause as he leaves his finger on the intercom. He has a lot to say on the matter but in the end, what would it matter here? Face-to-face, that's a different story. He could let into her then, apprehend her, and take this whole... thing down.

... Still, he can't just give up here. He can at least farm for information. ]

Why have you brought us here? I doubt it's just to play school.

[She sounds like she's a little put off by that first comment.]

What I think absolutely matters. I am the law here, after all.

[There's a pause of her own.]

Now, now. If I wanted you to know that I would have told you from the beginning, don't you think?

[ That visibly ruffles his feathers. The similarity between that first line and Nikolai's own power trip is uncanny. Leo is forced to adopt a more aggressive tone. ]

What I think is that you're just batshit crazy and you're making other people suffer for it. You aren't the law, you're just delusional.

[intercom_voice]

Now you're just being rude. Perhaps I was too generous to open the channels of communication like this. [She scoffs lightly.] You try to be reasonable with some people...

[ It is rare for Leo to ever insult a woman by using the word 'bitch'. It's not without reason, though; he is hoping that the title will goad her into revealing herself. ]

[intercom_voice]

[There is a brief delay in her response. But when she speaks again, her tone loses that mild edge and goes back to sounding authoritative and generally unbothered.]

If you care so little about what I think, then perhaps I should put an end to this conversation.
