ANNOUNCEMENT 003
[Suddenly, like twice before, that tell-tale screeching of feedback rings through the halls before an authoritative, but clearly female voice speaks.]
Hello, students! I see you've all been doing well, and truly taking to heart the lessons you've been learning during your stay at our wonderful facility.
[There's a small pause before she starts up again, an air of amusement to her voice.]
I'm sure you all miss your friends and family very much, but do not fret, because your studies and the lessons you learn here are of the utmost important. Build character, and climb the ladders of success, all of you!
[With one final teeth-wrenching burst of feedback, the announcement ends.]

Speak to the Voice
General Mingle
Mingle, have fun, and don't forget to tag your series name!

"True enough. I haven't bothered because there's nothing to go back to." Nothing that actually mattered, anyway. It wasn't as if she had any real ties to people back home.
no subject
Fair enough. But I've got to get back before the big wigs fry a kid for "killing" me. You heard anything else people've tried? Front door's the obvious choice - so windows, walls, anything that can give.
[ Though if they're like the doors, he can see where there might be trouble. ]

Chiasa considers the question, then shrugs slightly, crossing her arms.
"Can't leave through the windows, can't jump off the roof, and some of the inner walls can be destroyed, but they just fix themselves overnight. The outer walls don't break at all."
Yeah, welcome to the funhouse. She tilts her head a bit, watching him. She really hopes he's not the type to just go around munching on people in plain sight. She'd like to keep her secret as long as possible.
"When you get hungry, you'll have to go bother the nurse about it. Blood bags show up in that little fridge in there."
Chiasa involuntarily makes a face at that; she's still not fond of it.
no subject
The mention of the nurse draws his attention back. He didn't see or feel the woman around when he woke up but that doesn't mean anything. It is night time, she probably just left. ]
She your ghoul then?
[ Nines, while not a huge fan of ghouls, can see their benefits. It's hard not to, especially if the person you've ensnared has easy access to blood packs. Takes away the thrill of the hunt but when you're trying to tie yourself down to humanity, to tame the Beast, you've got to take what you can get - blood packs or the ghoul. ]
no subject
The only ghouls that Chiasa's familiar with are the ones that run around every Halloween leaving crap in a bag on her doorstep because she doesn't give out candy. Who said vampires have to like Halloween anyway?
"Do you mean like a donor? Then no. I haven't had any fresh blood since I got here, and it's been over a month."
Is she pouting? Maybe a little, and as soon as she realizes it she stops.
no subject
If you've been living off packs, it's no wonder you're sour. Ain't nothing like the real deal. There a reason you've been holding off?
[ If she doesn't want to explain, he isn't about to pry. It's her business, through and through. Nines figures it might have something to do with a fear of going too far, of draining the person dry. He'd be lying if he said he never freaked out over the idea - especially when he was first embraced. Learning the ropes, finding out what you can and can't do - it's a bitch when your sire up and leaves you. ]
no subject
"I'm trying to pass for the seventeen year old I used to be. Would rather have willing donors anyway. Not that I mind taking it by force, it's just-" She stops abruptly and shakes her head.
"Anyway. I'm Chiasa." Might as well introduce herself.
no subject
Willing to let the topic go, he extends a hand after her introduction. He's a little wary to give out his name but given that she didn't attack on sight, he's sure the blood hunt doesn't reach this far. ... Even if it had been called off after the Kuei-jin revealed their hand, news can be slow moving through the network. ]
Name's Nines. ... You said you've been here over a month. The one that arranged this little shindig show their face since then?
no subject
"Nines. No, haven't seen her face to face. She comes on the intercom sometimes and gives stupid speeches about lessons we're learning. And a couple weeks ago it turned into a jungle in here. Literally." It was a good thing that Fox bat had disappeared with everything else, she'd begun having disturbing thoughts about keeping it.
