Screw the intro rules, I have money!

[So, after the very loud and disruptive sound of a jet-plane making its decent, this lands nearly in the courtyard:

And from that ridiculous jet steps out none other than the multimillionaire, Seto Kaiba. He looks steely-eyed as usual.

...Now, this wasn't the KaibaCorp building. Which was especially bizarre, considering he was driving the damn thing.]

[Pegasus moved besides him, sticking his hand out, and almost pulling back as if burned.]

You're right...It's almost like some kind of illusion that doesn't allow us to see. Can you analyze it?

[Even if he didn't have an internet connection, he should have some kind of program that could do such a thing, right?]

[Composing himself a bit, Kaiba takes a step back, scowling ever so slightly.]

It's probably some sort of electronic force field. There doesn't seem to be any shine, or fingerprint residue for it to be glass...

[Then, deciding to take Pegasus' idea, he opens up his laptop and gets to work. A few minutes later, he comes back with a result.]

...It doesn't see it.

Who would have such sophisticated technology as to orchestrate something of this magnitude? Do you think it could possibly be the work of a professional?

Or maybe even a competitor...

[Pegasus had never given it much thought beyond that, but for a moment it almost seemed as though they were the ones being targeted. But who could create such a thing around an entire school?]

I see. That's a bit disappointing but if it's a force field there has to be some kind of generator or energy output for it, right?

[A competitor...that was Kaiba's first thought. Somebody who wanted him--and Pegasus--out of the picture.]

[He stands up again, looking over the roof. Pegasus was right about one thing...there would have to be a generator. Kaiba had had a similar train of thought himself.]

Yes, but it's probably on the other side of the wall. That, or maybe one of these AC units are just a cover...

[He walks over to one, placing a hand over the vents at the top.]

Hmm~ Well, it's never a bad thing to check, is it. Illusions might be used here too, I'm presuming. For all we know the school motif could also just be a cover for some kind of facility.

This seems like a bad attempt at conducting a social experiment, to me.

[Pegasus has seen his fair share of both amazing and terrible things, but this was on another level altogether. He wasn't enjoying being abducted from his life any more than Lee or anyone else here was. It was just awful. Kaiba didn't know yet, and he was sorry for that.]

Well, you know...There is a way to pierce or destroy a force field without getting to the generator. If it is even a force field in the way we know of it as.

Kidnapping people for a social experiment--hn. Well, whoever set this up doesn't seem to care about legality anyway.

[Kaiba sets his hand back at his side, looking over at the invisible wall once more.]

[He crosses his arms, thoughtfully considering this.] We would either need to push something into it hard enough to simply break through, or neutralize it with an opposing electric shock.

You're quite right about that Kaiba-boy. The most I can tell you about the supposed perpetrator is that she speaks to us through the intercom apparently remotely.

[Sadly he hasn't come even a little bit closer to discovering who she was or even if she was the only one involved. He shifted his weight from foot to foot as he thought on it carefully.]

We'd need to have enough power to hopefully cause a malfunction but in order to do that we'd need something like an explosion...

[Perhaps there was a way...]

Actually I know someone who might be able to help.

So it's a woman? [Kaiba makes a wry face, but then simply goes back to considering the barrier in front of him.]

An explosion...depending how far this barrier extends, we might not be able to set off a big enough one that won't also put us in danger.

[Still, he's curious who that "someone" might be.] ...And who is that?

I can't rightly say with certainty as I've only heard her voice. She could just be a mere puppet. But she knows how to avoid detection. I believe we're being monitored quite closely.

[He's not the type to name names without reason. Either party could contribute much to this plan of theirs.]

Hmm well. Two people I've met here come to mind actually. A one Mister Lee Chaolan and a Miss Anna Williams. Miss Anna was in possession of a bazooka when we first met. Mister Lee is a scientific-minded individual whose expertise in these matters is quite reliable.

[The first person Kaiba would be getting revenge on then, once he was out of here, was that woman.]

...Pegasus. [He turns after the other man has finished explaining, arms crossed and a slightly disapproving air to him.]

You're telling me you had a bazooka and you never tried to just...break down one of the walls? If I had that, I would be out of here by now!

[Kaiba picks up his things and swiftly heads for the exit.] Let's hurry up and find her then!

Kaiba..You don't understand. We have tried. Do you honestly think we wouldn't have?

[Pegasus shook his head, his expression grave. Explaining this situation was going to be a bit more difficult than he thought.]

We've blown the walls to bits before and it does no good. Somehow it reconstructs itself as if we never even touched it. The building's materials must be somehow made of peculiar substances.

[He stretched out a hand towards him to stop him.]

W-wait! Didn't you hear what I just said? She's most likely speaking to us remotely. Even with a sweep of all the accessible parts of this place no one has found her at all. She's like a ghost.

[Kaiba stops, taking in the other man's words. The walls just...reconstruct themselves? With everything that's happened so far from the fact he thought he was landing at KaibaCorp HQ to the lack of a single working computer or phone, he was starting to feel a bit disorientated.]

...I meant the woman with the bazooka. [He corrects, bringing a hand to his forehead. He was obviously frustrated and at a loss for what he should be doing right now. How can walls simply reconstruct themselves...? Unless this was some sort of illusion, like the Solid Vision, but far more advanced.]

I need somewhere quite to come up with a plan, Pegasus. What's the most secluded area in this building?

Oh, it's enough to get a migraine!

[He reared back dramatically, clutching his head. Don't make him think about his situation anymore, please. It's enough to drive him crazy...]

[However, half of it must have been dramatics because before too long he perked up again at the mention of him actually talking about Anna.]

Oh...Well. I'm not sure where she'd be right now. But, ah. Let's go to my room, shall we?~

[Sometimes Kaiba just had to ignore Pegasus, especially when he over exaggerated like this. In his current situation it was enough to really get him agitated. The teen simply glowers at Pegasus until he seems to simmer down.]

Your room? [A bit perturbed.] That's not what I meant.

Well, it's the most quiet, secluded place I know of in this place. You're not going to get much peace elsewhere.

[At least he knew when to calm down himself, when the situation called for it. In fact Pegasus was being a bit goofy but nothing beyond what Kaiba was used to. In fact, he's a little more chipper but perhaps having a new friend here along with an old one from home helped quite a lot.]

Besides, there's someone I'd like for you to meet who could be of immediate help!

[After all, if he could employ Lee's help in the matter then they definitely stood a chance and he'd most likely know where Anna was.]

Of course it is. [It was less sarcasm than begrudging acceptance. He really should have known better.]

Who, the one you mentioned earlier? [Kaiba seems a bit skeptical at best. You really couldn't trust anyone but yourself, after all.]

[Of course it was! Yes, exactly right! But at least Pegasus isn't nearly so dramatic now.]

Oh, it'll be worth it~ I think you'll like him.

[Granted, Lee and him might not see eye to eye on some things, but he could see where they held some similarity. He best tell him a few details about the man first, before he introduced them.]

He's the CEO of his own company in the robotics and technology industry, you see. But he's also quite the scientist. And in any case, I really think he could help with jamming the force field or destroying it like we discussed.

[And here he already starts to walk for the exit much like Kaiba had earlier, expecting him to follow.]

[Now that Pegasus has said he "thinks he'll like him," Kaiba's expecting just the opposite. That is...until Pegasus describes what this other man does. Robotics and technology were right up Kaiba's alley (he'd like to show-off if possible), but escaping this place was even more a priority than that.]

Hnm. We'll see. [He begins to follow his senior.]
