I am Malik Ish-- I MEAN MY NAME IS NAMU.
[Malik had humoured the nurse, listened to her explanation until it made him burn with fury and he knocked her back with a telekinetic blast of his Millennium Rod. He storms out of the office mere moments later, letting out a frustrated cry.]
Rruhh! This cannot be! [Why this, in the middle of the Battle City tournament?! He was so close, so close to his revenge on the Pharaoh he could practically taste it, and now he was here. It made him so furious, and--]
[The teenager suddenly winces, bringing a hand to his head as an intense headache pounds at the forefront of his skull. He takes a moment then to calm himself, shaking for a bit before he finally straightens back up.]
[The Egyptian looks either way down the hall, silently hooking his Millennium Rod to his belt. Now was the worst possible time to be caught off guard like this. But for now he would just have to hope he could find a way out of here...and that he wouldn't bump into anybody who might recognize the Rod for what it really is. Then again, even if he did, he could always use the Rod to warp their mind into thinking it was nothing more than a decoration.
Still, he better play it safe and put on a nice face. After all, he was supposed to be Namu, not Malik.]
Ah...I really am lost! [He calls out innocently.]
((ooc: Here's his Permissions Post for anybody that missed it. I'll default to "no" on everything otherwise, and ask on a case-by-case basis.))

... [But that reminds him.] And what of your host? He's not bound to our agreement. How should I handle him?
no subject
[Please, it was just blood. Over the years it'd probably been covered in all kinda of dirt before it was shoved into Pegasus' eyesocket.]
Bakura is... troublesome. The hosts of the Sennen Ring need a particular level of strength all of their own, if they're to survive it. This one might be weak compared to some, but his tenacity is infuriating.
You don't need to act super nice to him, just don't let him realize you've got any sort of murderous tendencies towards his friends.
no subject
[He smirks, leaning back to cross his arms. There's a certain glint in his eyes.]
But perhaps it'll be a good idea to solidify your host as my "friend" regardless. [He points the Millennium Rod at Bakura.] You're still going into the jungle to find us a way out, Bakura. If you fail, on your way back I want you to get injured and relinquish control to your host.
Then I'll come to his rescue.
no subject
[This is a good plan. He knows his host's heart, and how easily touched it is. As long as Malik doesn't act entirely transparent, Ryou should be fooled with ease. Well. He hopes Malik's capable of that.
His mood is definitely higher than it was, so he doesn't even mind the order. Rising to his feet, he slips the holy card into his pocket with such a lack of reverence that he might as well have been daring Ra to smite him.]
Will your soul-fragment let you know? I don't exactly have a phone.
no subject
Be careful with that. [Malik snaps with the way Bakura casually just shoves the God card in his pocket.]
But yes, I'll know. Just make sure to injure yourself far enough away that nobody else stumbles across him first.
no subject
[Yes.
But since it's Malik's card, he'll be kind to it. If nothing else, him holding it for collateral means it can't be used against him. However, there's nowhere he can put it other than on his person. If he puts it anywhere else, Malik could just swap it for a false card later anyway.]
I hope you enjoy long walks, Malik.
[Oh, Malik, you've tempted fate too. You just know that when he does injure himself, Malik will have to walk a long, long way through mud and bugs and all sorts of tangling vines...
The door swings shut behind him with a bang before Malik can ask what he means.]
no subject
That bastard was going to make him trek halfway through the jungle, wasn't he? That's not what he meant when he said far enough away!]
LATER...
Though his memories were far from perfect, and much of his past knowledge had had to be regained through Isis' tablet, he still had the instincts of the past.
The heat, he knew how to handle. The effort involved in the journey, even more so. He didn't even bother pacing himself, for the most part, calling on reserves of energy that Ryou would have loved to know of during his own journey. But the island's size was quite clear to him within a few hours' time.
Even if he didn't have specifics, it was only a few miles long, and most of that was jungles and rocks. He'd tried climbing to access the camp he'd seen, but found it impassable even for him. What a troublesome place this was.
The cave systems looked promising, but he doubted they'd lead out. For now, it was better to return. Though he had a bit of a problem to hand.
How to injure himself? Most wounds would be too obvious. Luckily, the answer presented itself to him soon enough. He glanced down over a slope within the jungle, just long enough, and smiled. Drawing Ra out of his pocket, he carefully slid it into his deck for safekeeping. He had no plans to use it, but he wasn't going to let it get damaged - if only to prevent Malik complaining.
His foot pressed down on the slippery ground, braced against the unstable mud, and he let it slip out from under him. After the initial drop took the wind out of him, the rest of the fall was less dangerous - but still painful enough that he was grateful when he stopped. The harsh rocks and brutal speed left his body sliced and bruised, and his leg felt as if it were at least twisted. Possibly sprained. Ryou would have a hard time getting back on his own.
A deranged laugh bubbled up in his throat, echoing in the peace of the jungle and scaring the birds.
It's over to you now... he thought absently, letting himself return to the Ring.]

When Bakura was hurt he was jolted awake, his soul fragment from within the Ring alerting him to the injury. Mere moments later Malik sits up, bleary eyed, but with a vicious grin suddenly pulling at his lips.
It took him long enough.]

He barely had the willpower left in him to pretend to be in a good mood, so he simply looked for Bakura with as small a scowl as possible.]
no subject
Not that there was anyone to complain to.
He just had to. Hold onto the trees. That was all. Just... had to hold on...
...oh screw it.
He needed to sit down. He was whiter than usual when he heard the noise of someone approaching.]
Uhm... Excuse me-!
[Woah. The light reflecting of all of that jewellry was kind of blinding.
...the guy looked almost as worse for wear as he did.]
Are you alright?
no subject
When Bakura asks if he's alright, he has to bite back a retort and put up his act.]
Oh no--I'm fine, but what about you?! [Malik hurries over, legs sorely protesting the sprinting movement. When he reaches the other teen he places a hand to his chest and wraps the other around his mid-back to support him.]
Are you hurt...?
no subject
Ah-! Thank you!
[Despite his reservations, he gratefully accepts the support. Even if it's a little weird for a stranger to just grab him like that. Maybe it's a foreign thing.]
I- I'll be alright. I just fell, that's all, and I'm having a little trouble getting back. Do you know the way back from here?
no subject
It looks pretty bad...luckily the building isn't too far from here! I'll help you back.
[He gently urges Bakura to start moving.]
no subject
Ryou obediently moves as urged, though walking is rather painful. It's easier with this stranger to lean on, however. On the bright side, they can't go terribly fast, which means the stranger probably can't get too exhausted.]
Thank you! I'm Bakura. Ryou Bakura. What's your name?
no subject
It's nice to meet you, Bakura-kun. Though I wish we could have done so under better circumstances...
[God, he was tired, and now he had to lug this dead weight of a host around.]
no subject
Likewise, Namu-kun. If you get too tired, please, let me know. I don't want to trouble you too much.
no subject
[As soon as they get back to the room he's taking a shower.]
no subject
I was too.
[He thinks so, anyway. Why else would they be so far from the building? Ugh, his head hurts just thinking about it. That must have been a bad fall.]
I've explored parts of this island before, but it doesn't seem like leaving will be easy.
no subject
Does that mean you've been here awhile? I was really hoping I could get home today, too!
no subject
I'm losing track of time here, but it's definitely been a few days. I met someone who said they'd been here for three months, so it's a little worrying.
Oh- but I'm sure we can find a way to get off!
no subject
[He looks away again.] I hope so...I don't know anybody here.
[Come on Bakura, take the bait.]
no subject
Uhm... I know you don't know me, but I'd like to repay you for your help in some way. So, if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
no subject
[Oh, very much in mind.]
