NEVER ENOUGH YGOS
[For those actually loitering inside the building today, you may end up seeing a small little boy with weirdly spiked hair wandering around, most likely having passed you by. Perhaps he asked one of the less helpful people around for directions to some city or outside, and just gotten turned around.
As it is, he's been in and out of rooms and hallways at least three times now. It's only once he's -- somehow -- on the roof again that he finally surrenders to the prospect that he's lost, sighing and flopping his back against one of the AC units.
His hands reach down to fiddle with the large, golden object around his neck, looking up to the sky.]
Jounouchi-kun... Honda-kun... Anzu... where are you?

Jounouchi-kun... Honda-kun... Anzu... where are you?
no subject
[He glowers more, feeling a little ignored.]
Don't count it as a victory. There's many more pieces to go!
no subject
[He leans back again, still smiling.]
Now, why would you think I was ever asleep?
no subject
You really don't get it... The reason why I attacked you back there.
no subject
no subject
Heheheh... HAHAHAHAHA! I never took you for so much of a fool!
no subject
Hoh? And why am I the fool, Yokai-kun?
no subject
[Wait what did he just call him?]
...
You're creative. I'll give you that.
no subject
[Click.]
A Shadow Game brings out one's true nature... Yokai-kun. Can't you see it?
1/?
Something feels wrong wrong wrongwrongwrongwrongwrong-]
2/3
[No, he can't see anything wrong. Not yet.]
You've left yourself open. Too bad, Pharaoh. It looks like I'm about to win.
no subject
GYAHAHAHAHAHA!
no subject
...Mhmhmhm... hahahahahaahahahahahahaha...
[...He's laughing. WHY IS HE LAUGHING?]
no subject
[That feeling of wrongness just grows stronger.]

It was a good game, wasn't it? But... why don't you take another look at the board?
no subject
[He glances down at the board - and freezes. This isn't right. This is so completely not right-]
What?!
no subject
But it twists and turns, surrounding the entire middle of the board. And though it may be empty, according to the rules set before...]
Over half the territories on the board... and your captured pieces...
I believe I win.

[That's actually silenced him for a moment. A moment that seems to drag on forever. This is bad.
Even if it won't kill him, it's bad.
Even if it's something he can break free of eventually, it's bad.
Because this is a Shadow Game.
And the consequences for losing those are always dire. And with this Dark Yugi, he knows they won't be simple.]
I. Lost...
no subject
Heh. Heh.
no subject
I see, I see!
[Except he doesn't. He knows better strategy than that. So why had he done something like this?]
Well, Yugi? Care to explain?
no subject
Your desire took you over. It pushed you to capture every territory you could, making you ignore the obvious solution in front of you. Even untouched territories, if surrounded, counted towards your total... but it was your greed that spurred your hand into taking them all instead!
[The shadows feel thicker now, more oppressive.]
It was your greed that was your downfall... Yokai-kun.
no subject
Tch... Fine then! Do as you will, Yugi!
[Yugi doesn't know him. Not yet. Perhaps not ever, if he plays this right. So fine. He'll endure the penalty... though he suspects it will be worse than the ones he knows of, it can't last forever. Yugi - any Yugi! - doesn't have the power to seal him completely.
My downfall? No. You're too wrapped up in your judge, jury and executioner role, Yugi... You forget the power of knowledge. And I know more than you!
He's endured suffering before. He can handle this.
...part of him is afraid even so. His hands clench into fists at his side.]

PENALTY GAME: ROLE REVERSAL!
1/2
When he opens his eyes, it's to find the world of his soul-room entirely changed. It feels like everything he's ever sought is in his reach. Everything of 'value' that he's tried to claim in his life. That doesn't mean it's just items. It isn't just items that have value, after all. Many things have value. Feelings. Recognition. Power.
But something is wrong. Very wrong. And he can tell it almost instantly.
...Why can't he touch anything?
It's as if his ability to hold onto anything has simply vanished. But it isn't just that.
Even if he calls out, nobody hears it. Not even himself.
It's like a glass cage that doesn't bind. No matter what he reaches towards, no matter what he says, or does, there's no contact. He can't take anything. He can't even effect them.
In a world of fascinating things and interesting people, he can do nothing, and take nothing. Value and purpose are both meaningless here.
Everything is simply beyond his reach.]
What... is this?!
no subject
...what...? Did something... happen just now?
1/2
You tread upon the souls of my friend and I for your own desires... Now, feel what it's like to be denied even the most simple of them.
