NEVER ENOUGH YGOS
[For those actually loitering inside the building today, you may end up seeing a small little boy with weirdly spiked hair wandering around, most likely having passed you by. Perhaps he asked one of the less helpful people around for directions to some city or outside, and just gotten turned around.
As it is, he's been in and out of rooms and hallways at least three times now. It's only once he's -- somehow -- on the roof again that he finally surrenders to the prospect that he's lost, sighing and flopping his back against one of the AC units.
His hands reach down to fiddle with the large, golden object around his neck, looking up to the sky.]
Jounouchi-kun... Honda-kun... Anzu... where are you?

Jounouchi-kun... Honda-kun... Anzu... where are you?

Didn't you notice the pain in your mouth, too, Yugi? That wasn't my doing. The other you was quite happy to play with my knife for a bit.
Oh, but he gave it back to me in the end. Of course, I had to catch it, first.

[Now that Bakura mentions it, he does notice his tongue is sore. But... threw a knife at...
He reaches a hand up to touch it and... yep, that's a cut.]
But why?
no subject
[It's as direct an answer as he can offer.]
I'm just impressed I caught it at all, since I was kind of blind in one eye at the time. Clearly the other you doesn't discriminate against the injured. Even when half of them is innocent.
no subject
I hope you're happy, Bakura. You have him struggling with himself now.]
no subject
[A shrug.]
So you can thank him for your lack of being mugged, at least.
no subject
I... want to talk to Bakura-kun again.
no subject
[And just like that, Ryou is left blinking and reeling in confusion.]
...I... what?

[...Well, Yugi doesn't APPEAR to have more knife marks or anything.]
no subject
[He has to look him over to check.]
You're not hurt at all?
no subject
[He's not quite sure he wants to share what that other Bakura said about HIS other self... or if he should even believe it. Ryou DID say he was bad...]
no subject
Yugi-kun, can I share a little anecdote with you?

And then I realized why.
[Deep breaths, Ryou. He doesn't talk about this often.]
Ever since I was a kid, I've always been awkward when it came to making friends. And I was always afraid of losing those friends, when I did make them. I wanted everyone to stay with me, to never leave. I wanted to have fun with everyone forever.
So the other me would hurt them out of some... twisted belief that it was fulfilling that wish. He'd hurt them so they couldn't leave. But they couldn't do anything else, either.
That's why I'm always worried when I wake up. Because the other me twists things.
no subject
I see... I guess, if there was a side of you like that, he would...
[And then he realizes he was essentially beaming through the explanation.]
Ah! I tried asking him about that "other me," and he said he was cruel, but if he twists things... then he wasn't really telling the truth, right?
[And at least that's a bit of a relief. Even if he doesn't know really what to think, maybe it was okay for now.]
But... don't worry, Bakura-kun! I promised I'd stay your friend before, and I'm still going to, no matter what! We're kind of the same now, so... I think we can understand each other.
no subject
[He happily bites into a cake, feeling a little happier now that he's gotten that off his chest.
Even twisted things have truth to them. That's an oddity he can't understand. If the other him thinks the other Yugi is cruel, where is the truth in that lie? Strange.]
no subject
Thank you, Bakura-kun! I feel a lot better now.
