[Those outside in the courtyard are seeing an interesting sight today. A man in strange purple robes is sitting on the fountain, silent.

No, not on the rim. He's literally sitting on top of the cherub decoration on top of the fountain, apparently indifferent to the very distinct discomfort it has or the fact that his legs are getting utterly soaked from it.

Mantorok is... thinking. This was new. Strange. Being transported randomly was not, in fact, something that he tended to experience, even in his "avatar" form, as it were. That he could still feel his real body, however distant it was, is reassuring, and his magic hasn't seemed to suffer even slightly for it, which is equally comforting.

Or at least as comforting as an elder god would need.

He was a bit... curious about those who ran around in this world. Were the people around here similarly teleported by some force? It certainly wasn't Trappers, and it wasn't as if different worlds was a strange concept.

But he's not about to go around asking people, no. Instead, he simply sits, and he waits, an aura thick with dangerous magic around him. Those who were even slightly curious about magic or the occult would find themselves drawn to him... while for those who had magic talent at all, it would be like a gigantic beacon, he's sure.

Waiting, always waiting for what it is that he wants... and this world would be no different. At least for right now.]

[Getting up, he approaches with an equally lazy air - albeit one that's tinted with curiosity.]

[Manny holds his hand out, palm-up. In it is shimmering a strange-looking symbol in a bright purple color, just floating an inch or two above the skin and rotating slowly.]

Let's start with the Alignment Rune, then, since I'm feeling so generous.

[A floating rune? He reaches out to touch it, curiously, wondering what it feels like.]

'Alignment Rune'?

[It feels like tingling magic. The moment he touches it, it disappears into his body, the magic and use of the rune being granted to him... without the knowledge following it.]

That's another lesson, now, isn't it?

Amazing...! [And that just gives him more incentive to try to entertain this guy because that is pretty damn cool.]

Next time, I can either explain what rune that was... or what Alignment runes are. Your choice!

[Oh, that smile is fascinating. Terrifying, deranged... everything that sends a thrill through him. It's been too long since he's encountered anything as unnatural as this.]

Of course! I'm used to putting my soul on the line... and you expressed an interest in it earlier, right? Of course, I'd need something to seal it in. But if you don't have something in mind, I can find something.

[The laughter trails off, almost like hearing darkness itself. That smile doesn't lessen even remotely, Manny sitting full up. He's careful not to meet Bakura's eyes for the obvious reason, but he's looking close enough to get the idea across.]

Very well, then! It's a deal! I'll find something for you, so you just worry about finding that information... won't you?

Heheh... well then. I'll get started on looking for that.

[Getting up, still feeling that chill down his spine, he whirls on his heel.]
