[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!

[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.

Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!

Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

I'm not sure. I spoke to him while you were cooking, before, but he didn't seem terribly different than I remembered. Heheh... it's hard to tell from just one conversation, though.

I might let you talk to him again sometime, I'm curious... But right now, I think he needs to be alone. The last time I tried to talk to him, when Ryou suggested it, he just told me to go away if I wasn't going to put him on.

And we are quite old after all! Even if our timelines differ slightly in places, he's quite the grumpy old man at the moment.

Anyway, I guess I'll just have to give him more time... But I really hope he warms up a bit. It doesn't seem right to just leave him there alone, but then I don't want to risk putting on the Ring either, after what he did...

Heheh... Hahahahaha! [He can't help the laughter. It's kind of cute. That tremor of awkwardness, the fear still within the boy... it's delicious.]

Who knows! I know a few people who'd claim otherwise. [Resting his hand on his hip, he grins broadly. It'd be easy to mistake him for an actual teenager, like this.]

You don't want my advice, but you're getting it anyway. Keep the Ring off. I don't know if he's following the same path as I did, anymore, but his memories likely haven't returned. Letting him take control now would be dangerous for your friends.

[That laughter was a bit startling, and Ryou looks slightly frightened. After all, the last time he heard that laughter, he'd either had his body snatched, or his hand impaled... Or a few minutes ago when he'd been found out in this dress.]

U-un, I definitely don't plan on putting it back on. He's too dangerous. All I meant was... I want to give him something else to do besides sit in that emptiness all day. It seems so lonely... [Ryou mumbles a bit towards the end, eyes downcast and sympathetic.]

[The look of shock on his face can't be denied. That was definitely unexpected. Even after hearing all the things the spirit might do, he still felt sympathetic? What a weak way of thinking. Touching... but undoubtedly weak. It was quite a vulnerability.]

You truly are a kind person. I know many people who would just have locked him away and thrown away the key.

To be honest... [And his voice is a bit hushed now.] I think about doing that too, sometimes. But if I did that...that doesn't make me any better than him. I just want everybody to be happy.

I remember Aniki telling Lisa-san about how we're all trapped here, and there's a barrier. I wonder why... There doesn't seem to be anybody in charge around here, except for that lady who spoke over the intercom once.

That woman is crazy. She stole the building once, before you showed up. Said it was some way of teaching us to appreciate it more. Most likely, it's all just some kind of game. But it's fun to speculate.

[He wouldn't be surprised if it was some crazy person's way of 'fixing' what was wrong in the worlds. But he doubts it.]

Tell me about it. I admire her pluck - and her skill - but that was annoying. Especially since Malik got sick! Have you ever tried taking care of a sick person in the middle of the forest? It's a pain.

[He keeps sounding entirely casual despite the absurdity of the situation.]

If there's anything important to you, I'd keep it on your person. Keep that bag tied to your hand when you sleep or something.

He adjusts the bag protectively on his shoulder, nodding sternly before cracking into a small smile right near the end of his thanks.] Un, and I'll make sure to do that from now on. Thanks for the warning.
