[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!

[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.

Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!

Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

[Well... that was one way to solve it, at least. He certainly doesn't look much better, but he seems to at least be all here now.

...or, well, as "all here" as he ever was.

She carefully presses the bottle into his hands, gingerly as if she's afraid just touching him again will cause another freak-out. And quite frankly, that's the last thing she wants to do.]

[He takes the bottle, and although its coolness is comforting even now, he tosses it back in Karasu's face, lips and eyes twisting into a look of hate.]

You! [Bakura tosses the towel aside and lunches for her, meaning to grab her collar or her hair, whichever he could get at first.]

H-HAHAHAHA! [His laugh was more twisted and deranged than usual, lacking even the slightest bit of humour to it.] Do you think I'm just going to let you get away with making a fool out of me?! You should have just done as you were told, you stupid fucking girl!

[WHOA HOLY HELL THAT WAS NOT EXACTLY THE REACTION SHE WAS EXPECTING ALL OF A SUDDEN. She manages to deflect the bottle so it doesn't hit her right in the jaw, but isn't quite quick enough to avoid him snagging the collar of her shirt.

Gack.]

[Bakura was still shivering as he pushed her back to the floor, keeping one hand out to pin her down while the other reached for his knife. All that fear he'd had a moment ago had been consumed by insatiable anger and a lust for blood.]

You have a fucking interesting concept of what "trying" is! Give me one reason--one--for why I shouldn't just slice open your neck!

H-hahaha...after all...I wonder if your blood is white too? Just like the rest of you...

[Flourishing the knife, he presses it to her neck.]

[She swallows, trying to breathe through the fear and instincts to just transform to protect herself. But the still coherent part of her mind kicks in, reminds her of why she was glad Malik talked through her, and she manages to at least suck in a breath.]

Is being controlled a good enough reason?!

No! It just means you're weak...letting that useless tool of a boy control you! Feh, what happened to that dragon inside of you, huh?! You could have used that to break free!

[He has no idea if that would have worked, but quite frankly, he didn't give a damn.]

It's happened before! The first time he tried it, my other side did break me out of it, but remember that thing is still me! It's not some other spirit sitting around in my body, it's still my mind and soul! It doesn't have some sort of different viewpoint from me!

The only time I can break out of that control is if my own life's being threatened, and he remembered and made sure not to do that this time! Yeah, it was my fault for being caught, but whatever happened, it's not like I intended for it to!

[Which was actually true. She didn't intend for that to happen, just a scare.]

If I was betraying you, why the hell would I stay in here and try to take care of you?!

[He could have died, or lost his mind, all because of this stupid girl's mistake! Bakura sits up, gripping the knife tightly in his hand as he pressed it further to Karasu's neck.

Take care of him...? The cold towel and the cloth... That was her, then. At the time he'd been in too much of a panic to realize. H-heh heh...she felt guilty. He might be able to use this.

Bakura pulls the knife back, licking the small bit of blood on it from where he'd pressed the blade a little too hard against her skin.]

Fine! I'll spare you...if only because I don't think you'd have it in you to betray me on purpose. But just a warning: next time, I won't be so forgiving.

[When the knife presses in hard enough to draw blood, that dragon power flickers up; she doesn't want to hurt him, but if he's going to kill her, she's not just going to sit here and let him.

But then he gets off and she sits up, going to rub her neck and giving him a cold glare. This asshole...!]

Tch...

[She can understand being crazy after that, but to threaten and attack her, after she tried to help?! Nevermind that she really was guilty, that sort of thing...]

I'm leaving.

[She can't say she regrets helping him, but even if she does feel guilt, that sort of reaction is enough to bury the sympathy and replace it with anger. She stands up, dusting off her pants a little and heading for the door.]

You're on your own.

[He tosses the knife aside, reaching out for that towel again and bringing it to his shoulders. He hated the cold, but right now, he hated warmth even more.

The warmth of another human body, of kindness. This girl's guilt was useful, but at the same time he wanted to tear her apart for trying to help him. She had no idea who she was helping.

He wasn't someone you could comfort. The only thing that mattered to him was his revenge. His only comfort was hatred.]

Go ahead, fuck off.

[The slam of the door is his only reply, Karasu leaning against it for a moment to just breathe.

Why the hell was she still putting up with this? With him? More and more she'd been thinking that "the other half will eat you" tale was an utter lie, especially with how more in tune with it and comfortable with it she felt.

Guilty though she may be... she's tired of it all.

With that in mind, she pushes off the door, heading back off to just sleep in her dorm for a while.]
