Effect Room: Amnesia

[Today, quite a few of the rooms seem to have taken a liking to inflicting some stupefying amnesia. One might still remember bits and pieces of the past, their name, their family, and common knowledge...or one might forget everything. Either way, the effect only takes place once the room has been exited, and then its poor victims are left to wander the halls in their confusion.]

((ooc: so basically, at some point when walking out of a room, your character is inflicted with amnesia! mingle, tag around, etc.~ Characters who tag into other threads don't have to be affected by the amnesia, only the ones making the thread starters do. Effects last as long as you want.))

[Close enough. He doesn't really care to explain it.]

Yeah. As long as it's turned on, it'll burn, but the fire's enclosed off inside of the walls of it. Because the heat can't go anywhere and it's metal, it gets hotter than a normal fire, and cooks food faster.

Speaking of which... [Turning it off, he opens it, ignoring the wave of heat that rushes out. Using the long sleeves of his coat to cushion the heat from the tray, he tugs it out and knees the oven shut, setting the tray on the counter. From there, it's only a matter of tossing the just-cooked-enough meat onto a plate and leaving it there for him.]

Why didn't I think of that? [Bakura murmurs as "Ryou" explains, and he looks on curiously when the door is opened. He even leans in, squinting through the heat to see, but there doesn't seem to be a fire in there at all.

Bakura had planned on asking about that, but then this Ryou Bakura is tossing food on a plate and well... He's promptly forking that food into his mouth and tearing it apart as messily as ever. At least that means he likes it! Maybe.]

Heh... [He doubts his past self would care to eat it at all if he didn't like it at least a little. Their nearness means that some of that splattering mess is bound to hit him, painting his pale skin red, but he doesn't bother to move out of range. Who cared? It was only blood and scraps of meat. Instead, he carelessly licks a splatter of blood from the back of his hand.]

If you're thirsty, you'll need to fend for yourself. I don't know where you keep stuff.

I don't...know...where I keep stuff either! [He manages between (and during) mouthfuls of food.]

Maybe there's...a river?

[Sigh.]

If all you want is water, that's fine.

[He'll just turn the tap on.]

Huh--! What are you doing?!

[Bakura growls over at Ryou.] Don't just waste it, put something under it!

Shut up! I know what I'm doing.

[He sounds annoyed as he roots through the cupboards for a cup and fills it with water.]

[After that the two of them hung out and talked for awhile until, inevitably, they got on each others nerves and went their separate ways.]
