Did anyone order a half-dragon girl with an extra serving of snark?

[Well this certainly was new...

Wandering around the campus after waking up in it's clinic is a young woman, she looks to be around 17-19 years of age and more or less looks super confused about where she is right now. Judging from her wardrobe, she clearly isn't from any kind of modern-esque world either, she's in a blue and white tunic.

This doesn't appear to be any kind of building she's used to and it's structures and such just don't seem at all right.

She rubs slightly at the side of her temple and grumbles a little to herself. Normally if she had woken up in a place she wasn't familiar with it'd had to be the work of a fairy or maybe some other magic user - but what sort of person would bring her to such a weird place as this?]

...What is this place?

[She blinks at the girl approaching her. It's not very often Saft gets to speak with girls - I mean really apart from her friend Az back home a majority of the company she was around was male so she sort of has an idea of how to speak with other girls.]

The Campus?

You mean this isn't Dragonsbayne?

No, it isn't. Wherever you came from before, it's in a completely different dimension now. No one has any idea how or why we're here, just that we are. There's an intercom voice you can talk to, but she's not going to answer any of your questions even when she does end up talking to us.

[Karasu gives a sad smile, trying to be reassuring.]

A lot of people think we're going to go back right from when we were taken, though... and it's not too bad here. The island's small, but you can explore it freely. Just don't try flying off or anything. The barrier will drop you like a rock into the ocean.

Wait you know I'm a--?

[She did just say flying right? Because even though Saft's very much in human form, there's nothing really that would give her away unless Karasu could somehow just sense it from her.]

No, I don't know what you are. [She smiles, though.]

There are some people here who can summon monsters, some who can transform like me, and pretty much anything else you can think of. I was just covering the bases, but if you are something else than human -- or just a special human -- there's no reason to be worried about it. No one's going to be upset or anything.

That's kind of a relief to hear actually, It's easier to know what I can or can't do when I'm in a new environment.

So uh...

What is it you transform into?

I can understand that, but trust me. Most people here are very nice... and the ones that aren't are outnumbered and can't do much to hurt you if you make sure you're careful and have friends.

[No need to dance around it, Karasu supposes. She did just say it was fine... and she was trying to be open and proud about herself anyway.]

A dragon. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon, if you want to be specific.

[Another dragon!?]

Y-You're a dragon too!? No way! And a white one, just like me! That's amazing!

Too? [Wait a minute.] You're a dragon?!

[Brb brain trying to process this WAT.]

Yeah! [No way, no way, no way - This is so incredible! She never thought she'd run into another dragon when she was apparently so far away from home.]

Wow, I really can't believe this!

...Ah! Sorry!

[She shakes her head a little, managing a bit of a smile.]

It shouldn't be weird to me, with all the different dimensions, but I didn't expect anything like that! Where I'm from, dragons don't really exist.

[...Right, she should explain that.]

I don't really know why I'm one, to be honest. But I'm a dragon in soul and body, and not even just in that form. Even "human," like I am now, has dragon traits. My hair, my eyes... even my blood. I'm the only one I know of from back home... and probably the only one there is.

I didn't know I even was a dragon until a few years ago.

I spent my entire life thinking I was just a regular human girl until this huge bombshell just went off and my whole life as I knew it changed forever.

[She looks to the other dragon and smiles.] Nice to know I won't be entirely too far away from home when there's another dragon here though.

I'm Saft.

That sounds about like me, too, though it was more becoming aware of it. I had transformed before, when I was younger, but I just didn't remember any of it.

[She smiles back, nodding a little.]

I don't know about that, but maybe we can understand each other a little better.

I'm Karasu. It's nice to meet you, Saft.

So uh...whereabouts are we supposed to stay if we're trapped here?

Does this place supply somewhere where we can sleep?

This place was a school at some point, so yes, there's two dormitories where you can stay. There's also a lounge with vending machines and the Home Ec room has food you can store in your fridge. I can show you to the rooms, if you like.

So uh, how many other people would you say live here right now?

[She starts off towards the east dorms, glancing back a little at the question.]

No idea... maybe about 20? 30? More?

[Oh she's following! You can count on that.]

So a small group then...?

That's kinda comforting in a weird way.

Sort of. It's not a city on its own right here, but with how small the building is, it feels like a lot more people. It's hard to get away.

...And there's absolutely no way off the island?

[She wants to know for sure because like Ka' already said, trying to fly off it would be a waste of time if there isn't.]

Not that anyone knows of. And everyone's been trying.

There's even a "roof" to it, so don't fly too high. I can show you were the barriers are, if you want.

No it's fine, If I'm going to be stuck here for a while...I'll probably come across it eventually.

[Still being stuck in a place with no way of letting the people back home know where she is and whether or not she's okay? That's the part that irritates her the most.]

If you fly into it, it forces your wings to lock up and you fall. And there's a spot that causes you to pass out in the air as well. It's dangerous to just feel them out with your face.

[Lock up? Yikes. Perhaps flying up like she wanted and charging about full force with her face like she wanted isn't the best idea afterall.]
