Announcement 001
[Whether you're waking up in the clinic just now, or have already done so and are now wandering the halls, a sudden screech of microphone feedback blares over the speakers before fading back out.
A moment later, a woman clears her throat. Her voice is husky and mature, but still feminine, and overall she sounds very authoritative...if not a bit sarcastic.]
Good evening, and welcome to the new school year. I hope your arrival was a pleasant one, last year everybody threw-up from motion sickness, it was quite messy.
[There's a long pause as she seems to think, or perhaps just let any anticipated bustling chatter calm down.] Now, you're all intelligent human beings...for the most part. But I suppose I'll pretend I'm talking to the insipid uneducated masses for a moment; it shouldn't prove too difficult.
[She clears he throat again.] In every hall, you shall find a small intercom. You may use that to ask me any questions after my announcements and "privately" converse. Now, if you head North down one of the halls near the clinic in the Central Wing and keep going, you'll eventually come to either the West or East Dorm Wings, depending on which fork in the road you chose. There you'll find all necessary bunk beds and spare socks.
So, make sure you're all well rested for class in the morning; we wouldn't want to get a failing grade now would we?
[And with that, there's another burst of feedback before her announcement abruptly ends. Anybody who had been wandering the halls will notice a distinct lack of...well, anybody else aside from new arrivals, the Nurse, and the Lunch Lady.
The strange woman over the loudspeakers may have mentioned classes, but the school seemed completely devoid of any teachers to provide those classes. In fact, a lot of things seemed...off.]

Have fun, and don't forget to tag the post with your series name and use warning headers when necessary!

....
[And then-] O-oh-!
Um-- I.... uh.... [In the same bed?? The Grecian's freckled cheeks go bright pink at the thought. Granted, Pyrrha DID ask him to stay nearby, and she probably would feel a lot safer tonight with Link so close ,but... Was this kind of thing really okay??] Well... you....
You're free to... sleep however you please, of course. I- I didn't mean for you to do anything that would... compromise your comfort... [Especially since he was probably looking forward to having a bed to himself. She didn't want to be overly demanding of the boy.]

I'm used to sleeping in the grass... I'll be fine either way.
[But after a few more moments of thought, Link concludes that he probably shouldn't share the same bed. If something were to attack, he might not be able to jump into action right away. Instead, he stands and pads over to the other bunk bed. Grabbing the frame, he slowly starts dragging it closer to Pyrrha's bunk. Once there's only a couple feet between the beds, he lets go of the frame.]
I'll sleep on the bottom bed here. That way I'll be close, but I won't be in your way.

Link... [Feeling very touched by his care for her, Pyrrha... doesn't really know what to say. It's been a while since someone has been so kind to her...] I...
[A pause. Eventually, she merely looks away; still smiling somewhat bashfully.] Well... th-thank you.
[With that, she climbs beneath her covers; fluffing her pillow a bit.]
I'll... see you in the morning, then. [A small smile. What a strange thought... When was the last time she's gotten to wake up beside someone else, even..?]

It's no problem.
[While his roommate makes herself comfortable, Link finishes getting himself ready for bed, then goes to turn off the light. The room is completely dark; thanks to the wardrobe blocking the door, not even the small bar of light from the hallway sneaks in. Luckily, there really isn't anything to trip over as he makes his way back to his bed and flops down onto the mattress.]
Sleep well.
