Two for one special! [Dark & Yugi]

[With an arcade room in the Campus now, there's no way Yugi wouldn't be there. He's a little late, maybe, but he's definitely set up shop there for today, occasionally moving from game to game once he's finished playing the one he was at before.

Of course, being Yugi, there's no way he'd keep this all to himself, which means he and his other self are swapping control every so often, making finding either of them just a matter of waiting... or coming into the arcade at the right time.]


((OOC: Since I didn't want to make two posts but wanted to play them both, here's a choice for you! You can either specify which of the Yugis you want to meet (the normal one or his "other personality," Dark), or you can just leave it up to me to pick! Just remember that Dark... doesn't take kindly to people who try to actually hurt Yugi, or himself.))

[He knows that voice. He's heard it before. Isn't that... the voice of the guy who saved Anzu from that criminal in the burger place? But that's not Yugi's voice... right?]

Who are you?

I'm Yugi.

[He flops onto the couch, bracing his arm on the rest and laying his head in it, one leg over the other.]

To be specific, I'm the other Yugi, the one created in response to people like Ushio-san.

Ushio... then you've been around since back then?!

[How was that even possible? Could stress like that really produce something like this? And what's with the differences in voice and stuff?]

...er. You don't hold a grudge against me, right?

No. [He smiles, and even despite the creepy air, it's a genuine one.] You're a true friend, Jounouchi. And even if you weren't, you've made amends for what it was that you did.

Ore only exists for those like that spirit, those who take delight in the cruelties and harm they can inflict upon others. Ushio-san, your old gang, and those like them... they cross the line, and that's where I come in.

[Annnd there's the creepy back.]

Those who trespass upon the hearts and souls of myself and my friends are the ones who must be punished for it.

You sure you're Yugi...?

[All of this talk of punishment was really unlike him. This guy was kinda creeping him out a little.]

Hey... one question. Does Yugi know about you?

Before we came here, no. You know just as well how innocent boku can be... it would've been cruel to subject him to that sort of thing. That's why ore was created in the first place: to protect that innocence and the ones who stand with it.

[He shifts back against the couch, resting a hand on the Puzzle.]

Certain problems here, however, have made it hard to keep myself safe. So yes... we're aware of each other.

I am Yugi... but you can also call me Yami no Yugi.

Whatever's preferred, I don't mind it.

I'm not sure I get it, but Yugi's safe because of you, right? And you're Yugi too.

So you're alright by me.

[Kind of creepy or not, this was Yugi... That much he could grasp. A cool Yugi and a normal Yugi... This is all weird. But he's still his friend... even so.]

We're friends, after all! You too.

That's right.

[The reassurance gets a smile from him, one that's almost like what the more innocent Yugi can make, though a bit more... mature, of sorts.

His expression drops to something serious after a moment, however, as he starts shrugging off the jacket.]

But you need to be careful of some of the people around here, Jounouchi. Especially that Yokai. Some of them here...

[He turns and holds up his arm, pulling up the sleeve so that Jounouchi can see the scar Bakura left... and more importantly, the angle of it that hints where, exactly, the blade would have gone had it not been stopped.]

...they have little mercy.

That's-!

[He's no innocent. He knows where a wound like that comes from. Then someone here actually tried to kill Yugi?!]

Who did that?!

[He'll beat the crap out of them, dammit!]

The spirit that infests Ryou and that taunted you just moments ago, the one I call Yokai. He had tried to kill me when I first arrived.

The Penalty Game I gave him has made him wary enough to not try anything again yet, either to me or while I'm present, but a beast can only be put at bay by punishment for so long.

Be cautious of him, Jounouchi. He can do far more than he appears to be able to.

That guy...!

[His fingers curl into fists at his side. Despite the other Yugi's warning, he feels a burning desire to track that guy down again and beat the shit out of him. But that would be too much muncesting foolish. He knows that. Even so...]

I don't get any of this, but that guy's dangerous, right? I won't let him lay a finger on Yugi again!

He's very dangerous, but a danger that I can manage. Don't let him taunt you into doing something that can be turned back on you. So long as I'm here, he won't try a thing on me, but you he has no reservations about.

[His voice is firm, but at the same time, there's a hint of pleading in it. He knows Yugi would be crushed if anything happened to Jounouchi, and with the magic that Yugi possesses now, he's not entirely certain what would happen if that were to come about.]

As for the "thief king," if you see him... it would be wise to avoid him as well. He looks similar to Ryou, but with darker skin and clearly from a time since past, but he's as cruel as that spirit is, if not moreso.

[Maybe he shouldn't have punched the guy in the face... no, actually, he has no regrets about that. He'd do it again if he could. But that pleading note... this guy might actually be really dangerous. And if he dies, what'll happen to Yugi? He can't risk that.]

...yeah, alright. I'll avoid both of them like the plague.

[Dark smiles again, inclining his head a little.]

[And now Yugi's blinking a little, seemingly lost.]

Hey there, Yugi! Welcome back!

[Jounouchi cheerfully takes a seat again.]

I've just been talking with the other you!

[Why didn't you bring that up straight away, man?]

Oh!

[Actually, that explains why he's sitting down and why Bakura's gone. But then why did Dark make him black out?]

Um, did anything... bad happen?

Nah, we just had a friendly chat. He got rid of that creepy spirit and gave me a friendly warning about him and then he left.

Oh! That's good!

[Maybe he just wanted to talk to Jou privately for the first time, then. He's okay with that.]

My other self's a little scary, huh?

A little. But he's a good guy. And he's Yugi, so he's my friend too. I'm sure I'll get used to him.

Yeah! He tries really hard to protect everyone he can. And he's always smiling whenever he talks to Ryou-kun, too! I bet he was really happy that you were his friend!

[And Yugi seems to be relieved about something, himself.]
