CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: SPRING FEVER

[Today, the lovely denizens of the Campus will wake up to a beautiful spring morning. Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and pollen is in there. But this isn't just any pollen, the kind that afflicts the allergy prone to months of watery eyes and sneezing, oh no, this pollen is far more potent.

This morning, you will wake up with exactly one menial illness. It won't kill you, it won't even really hurt you, but it will be a constant annoyance to you for the next week. Sicknesses range from sneezes and rashes to spontaneous floral growth out of the forehead region. Really, anything goes.]

((ooc: okay, so, feel free to give your characters whatever silly or petty illness you want! This event ends on the 25th. Our cooperative event has been postponed due to a lack of feedback/interest--since it's an event that requires at least a small group of people to be active in.))

Um... you know when someone is adorable, so you want to protect them, but on a personal level you get the urge to tease and torment them relentlessly? That's moe! ♪

[At least that's Rin's definition of the term. It's a pretty fluid term.]

... It took a really long time for Ryou-kun to believe me too. Poking my face isn't going to do anything, I'm too realistic!

But... [She pulls up her sleeve, where he can see a seam from a deep wound. It's patched up, but maybe if he squints, he can see that it's not flesh and blood underneath.] He sure believed me after I tanked an axe blow for him, heheh. ♪

[she doesn't really like showing this scar off, since it's kind of ugly. But it IS a convenient demonstration, and she likes Ryou enough that she wants his alternate to think she's all brave and cool!!]

...hoh. So there's a word for that now! He really is moe, isn't he?

[And another misappropriated word from the future is cheerfully misinterpreted and adopted into his dialogue.

...huh. Does that mean Harriet and Malik are moe sometimes? He'll need to think on this more. Fearlessly, he leans in to take a look. It looks normal at first, but staring at it properly reveals a hint of something beneath that's definitely not flesh. Wow... she really isn't human.]

Yup! That fired-up feeling you get around a person like that is the essence of moe! ♪

[it sounds just slightly like a turn-on when she says that. But her meaning is innocent, especially when Ryou is concerned.]

[The only response he gets is a flustered wail! Looking inside the office, it's apparently PACKED with patients of varying bizarre illnesses.]

W-Whoa! It's a pandemic! ♪

Oh no... We'll be here all night!

[Ryou frets, shifting his weight from foot to foot.]

Rin-chan, what do you want me to do?

Your knees are gonna totally die if you wait outside for this... maybe we can kick some of them out! ♪

[hahahaha like ryou would ever do that]

B-but Rin-chan... [He smiles uncomfortably.]

They were here first...

Uhm... Well, Kai-kun comes from a world where there's these evil shadow creatures that try to eat hearts, and magic is common... I come from a world where evil spirits reside in jewellery and magic is pretty much confined to them... Henry comes from a few centuries in the past, in a world where magic is relatively common but confined to cards... Lisa-san apparently comes from a world where people randomly disappear leaving bloody rooms and don't remember it later. I don't think she has magic though. And you come from a place where robots exist, which is something you have in common with a guy I met once named Quote!

[Ah, what a nice boy. If only he could get you to call him Master X.] So I've been told, yes. But I can only assume people have searched for exits. Is there any sort of mass-communication system in place for reports on such things?

[If she wasn't a robot, he'd have been more amused by her statement. After all, Ryou was as unresponsive to girls as they came. Talk about an odd couple.]
