[FIRST:] Greasy grimey gopher guts

[Taking a moment to peer around the cafeteria, Leo walks over to grab a tray and hesitantly approach the food-counter. Pretty much every option available looks.... equally unappealing.] er....

[Looking up at the rather disgruntled lunch-lady, the German speaks;] Excuse me, ma'am? To be honest, I'm not even sure whether I'm supposed to be here or not... But I can't seem to find the way out, and I was getting a little hungry. So... I was just wondering- do you serve anything here with a little less... well... grease?

[...The lunch-lady merely gives an unamused glare. Leo decides to try again.] I... I don't mean to insult your... fine cooking, it's just--

[Before the rest of the blonde's sentence could even be uttered, a giant glob of... something is suddenly plopped onto Leo's plate.]

Is this really..... food..?

[...Whatever it is, Leo supposes it will have to do. With a small sigh, the fighter goes to take a seat and enjoy the free "meal" regardless of it's funny smell.]

[Pausing in the midst of finishing up her meal.] Demons?

...Well... there are... the malfested.

[A pause.] I suppose some would say that they are the same thing...

[Malfested, demons, monsters... No matter what you call them- yes, they are... certainly a problem.]

[Quietly, she tries to keep the sadness from her voice.] Some say that they can do nothing but bring death, and destruction...

[Nero raises a brow. "Malfested" wasn't a term he'd heard before, but it wasn't surprising a different part of the world might have a different name for the same thing.]

That sounds about right. But hey, that's why they have Holy Knights like me.

[There's something off about the way Nero says it. He seems to believe it, but there's a certain uncomfortable air to him. The way he awkwardly seems to adjust his right arm is telling.]

To kill demons.

[*Ba-bump*]

[Pyrrha just barely manages to suppress a grimace at that; her brow furrowing.]

But the malfested... the demons... aren't....

[The young woman cuts herself off; not finishing her sentence as she once again becomes distracted by Nero's arm. She nervously bites down upon her lower-lip for a moment before finally bringing herself to ask;]

....What... happened to your arm...?

[Nero gives her a somewhat harsh questioning look, silently requesting her to continue that thought. Unfortunately, she asks him about his arm instead and Nero becomes defensive.]

I injured it.

...Oh.

[But then... what was that light, earlier?]

[Pyrrha continues to silently stare across the table for a moment; deciding against pressing the issue further by asking any of the questions that are on her mind. After all, there are certainly some things that she would like to keep private as well...]

[...Though she is still curious. As she reflects on the matter a bit, Pyrrha isn't even conscious of the fact that she's still staring rather obviously ahead as questions continue to swirl in her mind.]

[For a while Nero stares back, expecting her to say something. When she doesn't he begins to grow a bit irritated, if insecure about whatever she may be thinking regarding his arm.]

What?

[Not quite finished with his plate of food, he decides to push it away regardless and get to his feet.]

I'm outta here, I have things to do.

[Pyrrha blinks; abruptly turning her head away as she realizes what she's doing.]

S-sorry.... [Oh boy; she made him feel uncomfortable, didn't she?]

[Feeling a bit guilty, the girl simply nods her head in response.] It was... nice to meet you.

...Yeah. [Nero replies monotonously as he heads for the door, leaving Pyrrha to her own devices.]
