[Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, you will hear the loud screeching of a microphone through the speakers before it dies down. Not long after, a familiar husky voice blares through said speakers.

Although her tone is somewhat pleasant, she manages to keep her authoritative tone as well.]

Good afternoon. [There's a brief pause.] You've all been quite busy, haven't you? It's, hm...interesting to watch, to say the least. But do keep the property damage to a minimum, will you? It's awfully rude to smash people's property on arrival, don't you think?

[Despite that warning, she manages a soft (if a bit ominous) chuckle.]

That being said, I hope you're all well rested. A good rest means a good grade, after all~.

[There's another burst of feedback before the announcement comes to an end.]

[And in one of those rooms is a young man donned in a vault 101 jumpsuit and leather jacket, dutifully searching for a weapon of his own. Granted, he has a 10mm already, which can he seen holstered at his side, but as Boone pointed out earlier he should find a backup weapon unless he wanted to rely on his fists.

Roy looks up when he hears someone, his very obvious look of alarm fading into something of confusion when he catches a glimpse of Vulpes.]

...What?

[Just...sizing this guy up and down now.]

[Living in post-apocalyptic America, one need not have ever been to a vault to be familiar with what they are and how to recognize one of those jumpsuits. Interesting... and potentially troublesome. This stranger may not be wearing anything betraying an NCR affiliation, but that doesn't mean his loyalties don't lie there.]

[Also noting the 10mm at the stranger's hip, Vulpes is prepared to make a silent exit... that is until he's spotted. The lack of immediate hostility seems to rule out the possibility that he's NCR.]

Vault 101, hm? [His own attire resembles something an ancient Roman soldier would wear; definitely not something that would be found in the Capital Wasteland.]

[That garb he's sporting is where most of Roy's confusion is coming from. It's just...odd, to him.

He upturns his head a bit and narrows his eyes suspiciously, which very much translates to his tone. He also sounds somewhat defensive.]

Yeah, what of it?

[He turns to fully face the man now, his posture stiffening a bit.]

[This stranger's suspicion at least supports the conclusion that he's from the same "world" as Vulpes. It's easy to tell non-wastelanders by their lack of suspicion of strangers.]

Where might that one be located? I'm not very familiar with vaults.

[He folds his arms, trying to make clear his lack of intention to attack. There's no need to alienate a potential ally, assuming the sniper hasn't gotten to him first.]

[The fact that he knows of vaults at all confirms it for Roy as well, but that only makes him a little more on edge. These people from different places may be totally unknown to Roy, but he's aware of what wastelanders are capable of. Granted he's only been out there for about a week, but he saw enough to know he doesn't like it.]

...Washington D.C, guy. Take it you ain't from around there.

[It's not all that surprising, really. There's Boone, after all.]

[Mild interest registers in his expression briefly at the mention of Washington D.C. He knows of the old Capital, but has never been out East. Interesting.]

No. I'm from out West.

[Vulpes steps further into the room, his hands now resting at his sides. It's a risk to be sure- he's unarmed and this Wastelander has a pistol. While he can certainly handle himself in a fistfight, there probably wouldn't be an opportunity for it if he decided to attack. To help put the stranger more at ease, he decides to introduce himself.]

I am Vulpes Inculta of Caesar's Legion. I suppose you won't have heard of it.

[Roy's a little less on edge seeing as the man isn't taking on a threatening stance, or hasn't reached for some hidden weapon yet, but when he introduces himself his face pales almost instantly. Try as he might to hide it, he's on edge all over again.

He remembers Boone telling him about the Legion. A brief description, but enough of one for Roy to know that he'd never want to run into them ever. They sounded worse than raiders. He tries his best to play it off that he doesn't have a clue.]

...No. I mean, I just got outta the vault not too long ago, so...

[He trails off, hoping his point would be made and the guy would buy it. He's convincing enough now, but he can't take back that look of surprise when the man introduced himself.]

[Too? The only other person here who is from the same place that Vulpes knows of is Boone. So... had the sniper gotten to this kid first? He's claiming he doesn't know of Caesar's Legion, but that initial fearful look along with the question lends to the idea that he has.]

Hm. I suppose the profligate soldier has been smearing the Legion's name.

[No surprise there. It's only regrettable that he got to the other inhabitant of their world first.]

I understand the need to be wary of strangers, but don't worry... I won't harm you.

Profli-what? I don't know who you're talkin' about, guy.

[Roy will just continue to play dumb anyway. The guy may not be attacking him just yet, but that doesn't mean he won't once he catches him off guard.

It didn't look as if he had a weapon on him, at least. Not that he could see anyway.]

I'm not worried about shit.

[Just...throw in a blatant lie there to look tough.]

Of course you don't.

[Vulpes doesn't believe him, though he doesn't blame the kid for lying, if his gut is correct about that. Nevertheless, it means he'll have to be warier around him.]

You haven't introduced yourself yet. A mere oversight, I'm sure?

[There's a hint of a challenge in his expression. If he isn't afraid, then he should have no qualms about giving his name.]

[Roy's not sure if he should be relieved or worried that the subject seems to be dropped. He gives Vulpes a long, mistrusting stare before he speaks again. When he does, he makes sure his tone is clear and bold. He couldn't let himself show anymore fear, after all.]
