ANNOUNCEMENT 002
[Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, you will hear the loud screeching of a microphone through the speakers before it dies down. Not long after, a familiar husky voice blares through said speakers.
Although her tone is somewhat pleasant, she manages to keep her authoritative tone as well.]
Good afternoon. [There's a brief pause.] You've all been quite busy, haven't you? It's, hm...interesting to watch, to say the least. But do keep the property damage to a minimum, will you? It's awfully rude to smash people's property on arrival, don't you think?
[Despite that warning, she manages a soft (if a bit ominous) chuckle.]
That being said, I hope you're all well rested. A good rest means a good grade, after all~.
[There's another burst of feedback before the announcement comes to an end.]

[Ivan just stares from several feet away. Did his fat ass break the chair he already had?]
no subject
Taking it. Why? You got a problem with that?
no subject
It just seems like a lot of effort for a chair.
no subject
So? I like this chair.
[It's really not a bad chair; it even has cushions on it, which already makes it more comfortable than the kitchen chairs he's already dragged back.]
You can't tell me that you haven't gone looking for better furniture.
no subject
And I have...but where did you find that chair?
no subject
[He shrugs; there's really nothing else to tell about it. He does, however, tighten his grip on the chair just a bit more. Something about this man just gives off the impression that he would try to take someone else's furniture from them if he happened to take a liking to it.]
no subject
[Ivan continues to eye that chair, like a starving man would a hot meal.]
Can you show me where it was, or... [He takes a few steps forward, smiling. When he continues to speak he sounds pleasant and...completely serious.] Maybe you can just let me have that one?
no subject
I'll just...show you. I have to warn you, though: it's...weird.
[Without any further explanation, he starts heading back to the room, retracing his steps back to the right wing of the school. He doesn't seem the least bit bothered by having to carry his own chair all the way back.]
no subject
no subject
[Pfft. Really, he's just doing it because...well, there's not really anything better for him to do at the moment. It's just to fill time. Besides, it's not too far away.]
You got a name?
no subject
[Ivan quietly follows after, glancing over at the doors as they pass.]
Major Ivan Raikov. And yourself?
no subject
[No surnames yet. Although he's reasonably sure that no one here recognizes him, he'd still rather play it safe.]
Trust me, it's pretty damn weird. Some of them just...shouldn't exist.
no subject
I know a man who can shoot electricity out of his fingertips--believe me, I know weird.
no subject
[Not that he's giving it out.]
Electricity, huh? What'd he look like?
[It's just smart to know who could reasonably hurt you, really. He leads Ivan down a seemingly non-descript hall, showing absolutely no signs of fatigue as he carries the chair. He stops at a seemingly random door and pushes it open.
The room inside is eerily silent and sterile, perfectly white and so deep it seems to go on forever. Inside are rows and rows of chair and couches of every imaginable size, colour, material, and design.]
no subject
[Ivan really seems to be unable to drop that flirtatious tone, even when he speaks of the Colonel.]
A big, brute of a man. Believe me, you'd know him if you saw him. But don't worry, he's not here.
[Unfortunately. That meant Ivan had to play thing safe, and make sure he keeps the powerful ones on his good side.]
[When Alex suddenly stops to open the door, Ivan curiously makes his way over, peeking under the other man's arm to get a look inside.]
...Wow. You weren't kidding.
no subject
[Suspicious, really. Justifiably suspicious, in his opinion. Alex starts heading into the room, keeping his usual pace at first. As he heads farther down the rows, however, he begins to tense up. This is where things began to feel subtly wrong to him...]
So...take your pick.
no subject
...This one.
[Too bad it was as big as him. How in the world was he supposed to carry such a majestic monster back to his room...?]
no subject
[He'll never understand the appeal of gold. Still...it's a much better sight than the chair in the next row. Dust. That shouldn't be at all possible, but sure enough, there's a chair made of dust. It'd given him pause before, but he'd gone further down the rows...never again. That's the start of the real strangeness, and it's plenty for him.]
