[intercom_voice]

[Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, you will hear the loud screeching of a microphone through the speakers before it dies down. Not long after, a familiar husky voice blares through said speakers.

Although her tone is somewhat pleasant, she manages to keep her authoritative tone as well.]

Good afternoon. [There's a brief pause.] You've all been quite busy, haven't you? It's, hm...interesting to watch, to say the least. But do keep the property damage to a minimum, will you? It's awfully rude to smash people's property on arrival, don't you think?

[Despite that warning, she manages a soft (if a bit ominous) chuckle.]

That being said, I hope you're all well rested. A good rest means a good grade, after all~.

[There's another burst of feedback before the announcement comes to an end.]

Your guess is as good as mine.

[ Which is to say that Leo has no idea and it's gradually eating away at his mood. The kid's answer doesn't do much to help matters either; he'll have to keep an eye out for him. It's not that he doesn't want to, on the contrary - as an agent of the BPS, he feels the need to protect the innocent. ... But watching out for some teenager means that his attention will be split. Less time trying to find some kind of flaw in the barrier or the woman's location. ]

All right. [ He crouches now, trying to appear less intimidating to this rather small-- Vocaloid, was it? ] My name's Leo. I'm here to help out the best I can, okay? If you catch wind of any sort of information, let me know.

[pluginboy]

[Piko looks a bit relieved when Leo crouches down to his height; finally, he can stop craning his neck!]

Piko Utatane! [He politely bows his head in a typical Japanese fashion before straightening up.] It's nice to meet you Mister Leo. I'll be sure to tell you anything important I find out! But, uh...how will I know where to find you?

[cybrid]

[ What if it was Jeannie? Would you let her run around without checking in on her?

He gives a light huff as he looks over his shoulder and down the hallway. Another Leo happened to show him the dormitories earlier; he could keep an eye on him until someone he knows shows up. If they do. The woman in charge seems to be fairly selective if the people he's run into are any indication. ]

Well, without a way to leave, you'll need a place to sleep, right? [ He looks back at the youth, locking eyes. The tone he takes can be compared to what an adult would use when addressing a child. ] How about you come stay with me until you run into someone you know?

[pluginboy]

Sort of... [Piko cants his head, waiting to see where Leo was going with this. When he's offered to room with him, Piko flusters a bit and waves his hands.]

I-is that really okay? I don't know you... [Then again, he didn't know anybody around here, and at the very least Leo was the only other person he'd seen who was...well, not quite a person.]

I understand. [ Because there are some sick fucks out there. He's had to off quite a few and bring others in for due process. Leo knows how bad people can get which is part of the reason he's even offering. He can't, on good conscience, let Piko stay with some person who may or may not indulge in some sick past-times. ]

It's up to you. I just want to keep an eye out and make sure nothing bad happens to you. If you're uncomfortable sleeping in the same room, I can leave until you wake up. [ The corner of his mouth twitches, the start of a smile reaching his face. ] You'll have the bunk-beds all to yourself. [ Because all kids like bunk-beds right? ]

Well... [Piko lowers his head as he thinks it over. Honestly, he was way too naive to be thinking of anything Leo was thinking; the worst he's experienced are some overbearing fans and managers. It was just his advisers that strongly advocated not going with anybody...for this reason alone! Getting kidnapped!

...But he was already kidnapped!]

No, it's fine. [He raises his head again, nodding and then beaming back at that slight smile.] What's a bunk-bed?

[ ... Bunk-beds are still relevant in his time though more on the military side than anything. They exist though. Clearly this boy has been deprived of life. ]

It's... a bed built on top of another bed. Helps out when there's not a lot of space.

[pluginboy]

[He's an android who's only had a few years experience, give him a break!]

Huh...oh! That's...weird. [Piko finishes flatly, not seeming entirely enthralled by the idea like Leo might have expected.]

[cybrid]

[ Oh, come on, Piko. Leo's not so old that he doesn't know what's cool with the teenagers! He laughs. ] It's not that weird.

Here, come on. [ Leo's back up to his full height, dusting off his cybernetic limb's knee joint. The material is hard to scruff or even dirty but that doesn't stop him from being self-conscious about it. ] I'll show you so you'll know where to go.

[pluginboy]

It seems kinda weird to me--oh, okay! [Piko reiterates, but drops the subject once he's told to follow Leo. He still can't get over how TALL this guy is! He's like....two Pikos! Well, not quite two Pikos...]

All these doors kinda look the same, but as long as I remember the room number I think I'll be okay!

[ He leads them in the direction of the dormitories, casting the occasional glance down at Piko. ]

I take it your eyes can't record data on the location.

[pluginboy]

Huh? Well I can see the numbers, if that's what you mean.

[You're confusing, Mister Leo. Piko's just going to keep energetically following after.]

[cybrid]

... Numbers? You mean the distance to and from a location?

[ Though that doesn't make sense. The kid would have to have a map of the place and know where he was going to be able to mark it. ]

[pluginboy]

Uh...no... [Piko says a bit uncomfortably.] I just mean the room numbers. You know...next to the doors?

[cybrid]

[ Well, small mix-up on his part aside, that still doesn't explain at the eye thing unless... ]

Your eyes. They're synthetic, right? [ Leo looks over and down, his eyes lighting up in order to show off his own. ] You should have some sort of GPS feature on them...

[pluginboy]

Well, yeah... [What else would his eyes be??]

[Piko squints skeptically at Leo when he suggests he has "some sort of GPS feature".] All I have are some pitch visualizers in my left eye.
