[Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, you will hear the loud screeching of a microphone through the speakers before it dies down. Not long after, a familiar husky voice blares through said speakers.

Although her tone is somewhat pleasant, she manages to keep her authoritative tone as well.]

Good afternoon. [There's a brief pause.] You've all been quite busy, haven't you? It's, hm...interesting to watch, to say the least. But do keep the property damage to a minimum, will you? It's awfully rude to smash people's property on arrival, don't you think?

[Despite that warning, she manages a soft (if a bit ominous) chuckle.]

That being said, I hope you're all well rested. A good rest means a good grade, after all~.

[There's another burst of feedback before the announcement comes to an end.]

Hnh... Sometimes men welcome a hassle. -Especially when that hassle distracts enough from other hassles. [Like the hassle of having traumatizing, dark depressing thoughts for example.]

[Sighing.] And I'm Miguel. [A pause.] I go by Miguel.

So, Louie- do you regularly go out of your way to take care of violent drunks, or should I assume that I am a special case? [Not that he was suspicious of the other man's kindness, but.... Yeah, he was actually.]

Ain't doubting that. Way cheaper than any shrink thought about bein'. [ He caved after he got away from New York, drank a few in honor of Danny. Gave that up after the massive hangover. It also helped that he got the call back from Hotel Dusk, set him back on track. ] But better ways and all that.

[ He takes the echo as a jab, gives a crooked smile in response. ] Man, you'd be surprised how many people pronounce Louis as 'Lewis' or 'Louie'. Loo-ees - ain't hard, right? But I just gave up, tell 'em to call me Louie now. Ain't no big deal.

Violent drunk? You were violent, I'd be laid out right now, man - ain't no questionin'.

[A grunt.] If you take pride in your name, make the assholes respect it, I say. Have them pronounce it as it was meant to be said.

[At the man's following words, Miguel smiles just slightly; giving a small 'heh' under his breath.] You have far too much faith in me. I've got no reason to "lay out" a man offering me free drinks and a place to rest anyway.

Besides- I try to only take on men who seem like they would be worth my time, is all. [A pause.] ...-No offense.

[ Louis lets the name thing slide. It's not something that is all that important to him. He didn't choose the name and while he hasn't got any beef with his family, he doesn't have that need to 'protect their honor' or whatever it is people get offended about. Obviously. ]

Ain't worth the time? [ He lets go of the arm around his shoulder long enough to mock a gasp place his hand on his chest. ] Brother, you go straight for the jugular! [ If the dramatic gasp wasn't enough to clue Miguel in, the grin makes it obvious that it's just a joke. ] Don't worry 'bout it, though. None taken. Louie's all about keepin' up appearances for the ladies. Can't do that while swingin' fists around.
