[Suddenly, like twice before, that tell-tale screeching of feedback rings through the halls before an authoritative, but clearly female voice speaks.]

Hello, students! I see you've all been doing well, and truly taking to heart the lessons you've been learning during your stay at our wonderful facility.

[There's a small pause before she starts up again, an air of amusement to her voice.]

I'm sure you all miss your friends and family very much, but do not fret, because your studies and the lessons you learn here are of the utmost important. Build character, and climb the ladders of success, all of you!

[With one final teeth-wrenching burst of feedback, the announcement ends.]

Having missed his chance last time, Kai stabs the intercom button with a finger.

"Screw your 'lessons', we want to go home!" He's sure she's heard that before, but he needs to say it. He might be making friends, but he still wants out of here.

"Some of us have important jobs to be doing!" Not that he doesn't appreciate the break, but he's not telling her that.

[intercom_voice]

[A moment after Kai finishes his little vent, the intercom buzzes back with a slightly distorted female voice.]

Ah, but how do you possibly expect to be prepared for your job and the road ahead if you don't finish school first? A good education is the foundation of a successful future.

He snorts at that. He doesn't think there's a school for what he does.

"My problem is having to finish it here. What gives you the right to just kidnap people anyway?"

I must admit it's been a wonderful and adventurous experience being here! I can't wait until I can teach some of the kids here! It will be SUPER-DE-DUPER!

[There's an uncharacteristically long silence before the woman on the other side answers, her voice distorted slightly by the intercom itself.]

Ah, yes, of course...are you sure you're supposed to be around children?

"Lessons"...? I don't get it.

[Piko looks perplexed as he glances up at one of the many speakers, mulling over what the voice had said.]

There haven't even been any classes...

[Ivan crosses his arms as he leer up at one of the speakers.]

I was already "climbing the ladder of success" just fine before I got stuck here.

[Vulpes watches the long-haired man talk back to the voice through the speaker, listens for a response, then frowns slightly when there is none. Negotiating with enemies who have a distinct advantage is always rather pointless.]

I don't suppose she'll ever explain what "lessons" we're meant to be leaning?

[Ivan hadn't noticed Vulpes approach, and turns his head when he hears him speak.

...Well hello man in a skirt. If only there were a vent nearby. Or an updraft.]

No, why would she do that? It's quite clear she likes to see is squirm. [He narrows his eyes. What was with that thing on his head...?]

Squirm? Only cowards would give an enemy the satisfaction.

[Not that he has any confidence in the campus dwellers' bravery as a whole. The people he's met so far have ranged from quite impressive, to sniveling and worthless.]

She should be the one squirming. It's only a matter of time before somebody discovers her hidden location.

[ Leo can be found in the east wing library, thumbing along the base of the bookshelf.

The books in the office caught his eye when he settled down for a drink with Pegasus but now that he is no longer in someone's company, he can appreciate them for what they are. To a man that comes from a world where nearly everything is digital, it's something new, something to look at.

He plucks one from its keep - the bright red cover with gold lettering along its spine standing out - and cracks it open to skim over the contents. ]

[Except that you won't stay alone for long. As it turns out, Pegasus himself was also in the library, if for slightly different reasons. He had a brightly-bound green book in his hands and was evidently nose-deep in it, an all-too-amused grin on his face.

He hasn't noticed Leo yet, but maybe he soon will...Hard not to notice a 6'7'' cybrid in a library after all!

A chuckle escaped him as he turned the page, finding whatever it was that was the contents of this book quite entertaining.~]

[ The chuckle breaks whatever silence was in the library so it's no surprise that Leo looks over to shoulder to find the source. Finding that it's Pegasus, he places his index finger between the pages to hold his place and closes the book as he approaches. ]

Take it you found something interesting.

[ He sits down at one of the near-by tables, laying his book flat on the table without breaking eye contact. ]

[Pegasus stopped reading long enough to look up at him with a bright smile.]

[He confirms cheerily, waving the comic book around.]

[ It's night by the time Nines comes around and what he finds isn't to his liking. He's not back at the Lucky Star Motel with his werewolf trophy; he's in some goddamn infirmary, as if he needed some kind of treatment. That isn't the case, all he needed was time for the blood to kick in and do its work - that's long since passed. His wounds from the encounter back in Griffith Park have healed and the only thing that shows he even had a scrap is the rip in his undershirt and the few speckles of his own dried-out blood staining the fabric.

Standing and grabbing his button-up shirt from the foot of the bed, Nines slips it on and heads out the door. He gives his top a couple of shakes, works to settle into it again, as he looks down the hallway. Given that the place lacks the overall scent of disinfectant, it's not a hospital. He's glad for that - he can deal without the bullshit that'd bring.

Spotting the two metal doors that mark the entrance, the vampire makes his way over and gives it a tug only to find it locked. Isn't all that strange, places lock up at night - he gets that. But giving it another tug with his supernatural strength placed behind it, it refuses to give. That's the problem. ]

Goddammit. If it's not one thing, it's five.

Chiasa is usually either asleep by this time, or at least holed up in her room, but tonight she decides to wander for a while. Mostly because she's been having a few bad dreams lately, and the longer she can put off going to sleep, the better. After a while she finds herself near the nurse's office, and stops dead at the scent of blood. It's not that strong, and not coming from the office itself, she can tell that much. Then she spots the man by the entrance and frowns. Probably him, then.

"Good luck with those."

[ Nines gives the door another rattle just for good measure before turning back down the hall. It's easy to pick up that the woman is a kindred but what clan - if any - he can't determine. For that reason alone, he's wary of addressing her. ]

Gonna need more than luck to get through those. I figure you know that already.

[Pyrrha blinks; stopping in her tracks as she stares, wide-eyed and terrified.]

[She is hardly excited about the prospects of this place teaching her, as she had been long past due of going to school. In fact, she's still suffering from the lack of having a proper pedicure and bed, and her hair is not exactly a 100%. In fact, it's quite... frizzy, one could say.]

I don't suppose I could get any type of service here? Even a minion or two would be nice.
