[Nearby, Malik smirks at the news, his face mostly concealed beneath hood of his purple cloak.]
Good. You take Eleanor, and I'll get Harriet then. You know what to do from there.

[Bakura leers in the direction of his target, smirking.] Understood. It should be easy.

[The Egyptian, in return, turns towards his own target and lets out a small laugh.] Hehe...I'll meet you back at the cave then. We'll lure in Henry and Rosenkreuz once we've got the girls.

[Eleanor falls into step behind him, humming a little quietly.]

So, what is it?

It's a surprise! I... really hope you like it. It took a long time to set up. A friend of mine helped me.

[He smiles brightly at her, thinking to himself that she probably wouldn't like it much. But still, they'd put so much work into it~. He'd hate to be a disappointing host, heh.]

A surprise, huh? I can't wait, then!

[She falls for it completely, letting the talk die off for the sake of the "surprise," most likely to Bakura's delight.

Ooh, she can't wait~]

[He's grateful for the lull in conversation as he leads her outside and towards the cave systems. After all, he puts up with enough inanity when dealing with Yugi and his friends and their friendship nonsense.

'What fools these mortals be'. Wasn't that in a book Ryou had read? Maybe he just imagined it. He can't hide a smile.]

[Eleanor, in the meantime, is fidgeting with the positioning of her sword to fill the silence up. It feels a little out of place on a hoodie and jeans, but there was absolutely no way at all that she was going to leave it behind in an unknown place.]

[He glanced over at the sword's faint noises, curiously.]

You and Vaughn-san both seem very attached to this weapons. Are you expecting an attack?

Ah, well, yes and no. "Expecting" is the wrong word, but Harriet and I came from a war. It's best to be prepared for one at any time, and that does mean carrying our weapons with us.

Forgive me, it's a bit of a nervous habit to fidget with it.

Ah, that's right... if you get yanked back suddenly without them, it'd be a problem, right?

[A big problem... though he can think of worse ones. What Malik told him is interesting. There's at least a handful of things that she'd be far worse off without. He has to keep that in mind.]

At least somewhat of one. We can always replace them, but we would have to rely on our monsters for a while.

[The building disappears, swallowed by the trees as he leads her deeper into the jungle.]

Does it tire you to use them?

I was just curious. The way you said it sounded like it'd be an inconvenience.

It's a bit irritating, because I have to be in Deck Leader mode, but not too terrible.

[Okay, he's really going to have to get Malik to explain the rules of their powers a bit more, because he is a little lost on that one.]

That sounds pretty troublesome! At least you don't have to do that here.

[Please, for the love of all the gods that he doesn't care about, do not let her decide to do what half of Yugi's idiot friends do and spout out a massive explaination.]

Welp, going to be treating that trading card a bit nicer in the future. If Ra's forgiven his many evil deeds enough to spare him the long explaination, he can at least be nice to the card.

...not that it'll stop the evil deeds, but still! Baby steps.]

[He draws out the last word slightly as the caves come into sight.]

My friend should be waiting inside.

Caves? ...You could have mentioned we'd be cave-diving. I would have gotten boots.

[It's not actual irritation, more teasing, but Eleanor does seem a bit grumpy about it.]

[He shakes his head, smiling a little wider.]

Hahah, it's fine. You won't need them. I'll even go first.

Go ahead, then.

[...For now, Eleanor's feeling a sudden sense of unease from her deck, placing her hand on it.]

...Ah, Ryou! Hold a tick, will you?

Are you really going to make this difficult now, Eleanor?

[The Ring's glow signals its appearance as he focuses it on her.]

It's time to take a little nap, my friend.

[Eleanor is surprised by the sudden change in voice, but before she can puzzle it out, there's a heavy fog over her mind, forcing her off into a magical slumber.

But while she may be asleep, she is the only one nearby. Bakura can likely easily hear the roars and snarls of her monsters, raging at the current state of their mistress and making it clear what they intend to do to him, given the chance.]

[Oh, he could hear them. Their rage was something he would have cowered from, once. Now, however, there was no fear. There was only wariness. Making sure not to directly touch them, he crouched down and fumbled for the connection of her deck-holder, taking it off of her.]

You're noisy. Do you want to be tossed into the ocean? Be good and stay quiet.

[He picks her up, slinging her over one shoulder and carrying her into the cave.]

[The monsters quiet, but clearly under protest. Their growls can't be entirely silenced, unfortunately, especially with the impending danger they sense their mistress is in.]
