Found them. They're separated. [Bakura held the ring in his hands, the charms that hung at its sides now pointing in the direction of their targets.]
[Nearby, Malik smirks at the news, his face mostly concealed beneath hood of his purple cloak.]
Good. You take Eleanor, and I'll get Harriet then. You know what to do from there.
[Bakura leers in the direction of his target, smirking.] Understood. It should be easy.
[The Egyptian, in return, turns towards his own target and lets out a small laugh.] Hehe...I'll meet you back at the cave then. We'll lure in Henry and Rosenkreuz once we've got the girls.
((ooc: GENERAL WARNING: there will be violence throughout the threads in this post.))

It is Ra, you insolent fool! If we sacrifice three monsters over 1000 attack points each, we can obliterate anything Rosenkreuz has to throw at us!
Keh heh heh...let him cower before my God card!

[Furious, Malik shifts in Bakura's arms, leaning up a bit.] I want to see Rosenkreuz beg for his life before I make him suffer a pain thousands of times worse than what he caused me!

[He stares down at Malik for a long moment before smirking. Seeing him like this was rather fascinating.]
Fine then, if that's what you want to do. But you're going to have to start with weaker monsters. While you're in this condition, you're going to have trouble summoning anything too strong.
no subject
But what was with that smirk? He leers at it.]
...Spirit Reaper and Sangan should do for now. I can practice with them.

[The joke comes easily to his lips. No regrets. It feels more normal, somehow, to tease Malik like this.]
no subject
[Looks like Bakura's teasing attempts didn't work...for once!]

Hey! Kuriboh is the most useless monster in the game, don't insult me!

For all you know I just meant that the two of you have such similar looks.

You're a bastard. [He takes his finger, pressing and wriggling it again the wound beneath Bakura's bandage. Learn your place, partner!]
no subject
[He winced, his breath catching. Pressing it would have been bad enough, but the feel of that finger moving against it was enough to send spikes of pain through his face.]

[Bakura's visible eye narrows at him. He can't see the blood, but the pain itself is a warning. If Malik reopened the would, he'll damn well bite the wound to his side next time. With those grouchy thoughts, he continues on, being a little less considerate with his speed this time. If Malik gets jolted, so be it.]

[Malik closes his eyes again, reveling in his little victory.
During the rest of the walk, he does end up getting jostled a few times, causing the young Egyptian to hiss and bite down on his already bloody lip. Bakura gets a few warning looks along the way.
Other than that...the walk isn't too eventful, and in an hour's time they arrive at their destination.]

Poke.]
Ow... At least there's water here.
no subject
Good. It would have been problematic if we had to go run out and get some every day.
[He gives the area a quick, surveying glance.] And with our backs to a wall like this...we can't be ambushed from behind.
no subject
[Should he take off the bandages and check the stitches? ...no. He won't die from this small amount of blood flow. At worst, it'll make the inevitable scarring a little more jagged. He can live with that. Ryou will just have to deal with it. Grabbing the water bottle, he refills it with the cool, refreshing stream water and brings it over to Malik.]
Here. If you're still not hungry, at least drink something.
no subject
Hm... [Malik reaches out, taking the water bottle. Much like before, he drinks the whole thing within a couple minutes.]
So, Bakura, start telling me how monster summoning works.
no subject
You know of the origins of the cards, I assume? When a monster is summoned within the Shadow Realm, the connection between the human world and the dark world is strongest. The cards are simply conduits. While the Items make summoning them easier, even trivial, within that world, anyone could actually summon a monster if they've connected with it.
Back in history, it was considered a forbidden art, used only by a few people. Even then, it was a power that takes both dedication and mental strength. Not only does the connection need to be sustained, but weaker minds would be consumed by their own summons. Though most weaker people would not be able to summon anything save their own ka. Doing that holds a risk, however, because if your ka is destroyed, you'd be killed also.
[His memories are fuzzy, but that knowledge is ingrained upon his mind.]
no subject
How do I connect with the monster within the card? I mean...
[He closes his eyes, thoughtful.] Is it like using the Millennium Rod? I should be able to just feel it...
no subject
[Folding his arms, he leans back against the mountainside, watching him.]
no subject
[Malik holds the card between his finger tips, his brow pointed downwards as he concentrates.
Between his fingers...he held a doorway connected to the Spirit Reaper. Its power, although weak, was still there. If he could just feel it, crack the door open and reach inside...like he did with the Millennium Rod. Except now, instead of warping and suffocating the minds of others with his charisma, or blistering their own loathing and insecurities for his own use--he was simply calling out to something from the shadows.
Suddenly, he lets out a small gasp. He could feel it, a dark power, and with it a twinge of pain in his temple. But Malik ignores the pain, instead reaching deeper, trying to draw out that darkness from within the card.
In front of him, there's a swirling of dark energy, the vague shape of a monster bubbling up.]
