[Bet you all missed hearing from the lovely lady over the intercom, yes? No? Well too bad, because she's making her scheduled announcement right now, as indicated by the screeching of intercom feed.]

I do hope you're all enjoying the fresh air. I know how stir crazy some of you have been getting. A little fun in the sun never hurt anyone. Maybe now we can cut down on the property damage, hm? [Her tone darkens a bit.] And the fires.

[Because clearly she's doing all of you a favor!]

And remember, don't spend all your time taking in the sun. You have studies to get to! "Only the educated are free"~

[He doesn't seem to notice her fidgeting, but the turmoil lurking below the surface was something he might have picked up on soon enough if he pried into her mind.

Still, he let himself stray from that line of thought as she spoke again.]

Well, I do appreciate the compliment. One does find a way to preoccupy themselves here, you might say. It helps to have a distraction once in a while.

Yeah... it seems like there's not a lot of places to go around here. Or really, anything that happens at all. You'd think a school would at least have classes or something...

[Not that she'd argue for it. At least the boredom hasn't set in too badly for her yet.]

Or at least some staff besides a crazy lunch lady and a weird nurse.

Hmm. Well, if you hadn't noticed we're on an unexplored island...There will be much to do if we wish to find a way to escape.

[He chuckled a little at her assessment of the Campus, amused by her candidness.]

Heh. Right you are. Unfortunately we're on our own.

Yeah, I saw the forest. [Actually, it was more "crashed into it while bleeding like a hose" if Pegasus saw that day, but she's not going to offer up that information, nope.]

Is there really that much to do to figure out how to get off? Isn't there some way to just... boat off or fly or something?

[He must have been indisposed, as he was entirely unaware of that incident in question actually. But no matter.]

...No. Unfortunately, no one's been successful yet. And yes, given not too long ago this island you see...was not there before. It's difficult to explain. There's some kind of force binding us here.

There might be a way if we were to somehow construct a craft of our own or repurpose something to fit our needs and try to get a line of communication out. Otherwise we'll have to wait.

Not... here before? Did it just appear or something?

[She's entirely serious, nor sarcastic or taunting or anything like that. It wouldn't be hard for her to imagine a whole island just appearing or something. Having a way too high suspension of disbelief is a wonderful thing.]

Well, it's more we couldn't actually see it.

[The barrier had prevented as much. He sighed, a little dramatically.]

[Not that she can blame the dramatic sigh. If it was just the school, she would've gone stir-crazy.]

No...it was as if you couldn't actually see it. Like an illusion.

Like... there was nothing there? At all?

Well, actually it was of an endless landscape, but no one was ever able to leave the campus grounds to reach it.
