ANNOUNCEMENT 004
[Bet you all missed hearing from the lovely lady over the intercom, yes? No? Well too bad, because she's making her scheduled announcement right now, as indicated by the screeching of intercom feed.]
I do hope you're all enjoying the fresh air. I know how stir crazy some of you have been getting. A little fun in the sun never hurt anyone. Maybe now we can cut down on the property damage, hm? [Her tone darkens a bit.] And the fires.
You're welcome.
[Because clearly she's doing all of you a favor!]
And remember, don't spend all your time taking in the sun. You have studies to get to! "Only the educated are free"~
[The announcement ends.]

SPEAK TO THE VOICE

It was an accident, okay? Am I seriously never going to live that down?
no subject
An accident born from carelessness.
no subject
You're being pretty careless yourself, you know. That's bound to cause a few accidents. [A bit of anger edges into his voice.] Like for one, bringing me here.
no subject
[But then her tone sweetens to a sickeningly fake degree.]
We'll see how long you keep that attitude.

GENERAL MINGLE

While it's been a little time since last he'd taken up the brush, but with idle time passing away and the island open for them now to explore, on a whim he'd felt the urge to set up his easel and canvas and come out into the open.
It's been a while too since he decided to do a landscape scene, Pegasus leaning forward in a chair he'd set up while he set to dabbing his detail brush in the various greens and blues of the water to create the waves crashing against the shoreline. As an accomplished artist it wasn't altogether a difficult scene to capture, but one might say alone time like this was kind of therapeutic. In any case he didn't expect to be interrupted any time soon, so he put his concentration into it, contented at least to use the afternoon light in this way.]
no subject
...And then after a minute, he decides he has something to say after all.]
Enjoying the scenery? [It was sarcasm. Bitter, even.]
no subject
[He lifted his head at the sound of the boy's approach, a fleck of blue paint on his cheek. Clad in his painting clothes instead of his usual suit Pegasus relaxed for a moment, sitting back in the chair.]
Mm. Yes, well. It's quite preferable to being confined to the indoors.

A part of her wants to go up and see. The other part doesn't want to interrupt him. So, for the moment, she just stands where she is, watching him.]
no subject
Funnily enough he doesn't appear to notice her approach from so far back, but if she doesn't say anything he was going to continue his work.]

Although she finds Jack himself more intriguing in the "what in oblivion is he supposed to be" sort of way.]
[She crosses her arms, keeping her tone casual. She didn't want to sound too impressed.]
Not bad.

[The cyborg put down his sword momentarily, his one eye looking over at her. Yet another who didn't view him in disgust, because of what he was. It always surprised him.]
Want a piece?

[Raiden looked over at him, instantly spotting his cybernetic parts. He didn't recognize them, staying on the defensive in case he was an enemy. Was he a mercenary? A cop? Some other type of special forces?]
[He picked up a still whole watermelon.]
Want to try it for yourself?
[Was Jack trying to see what weapons this guy had on him? Yes, he was.]
Sorry for being late, had things I needed to square away.
No problem. Take as much time as you need.

It would be so much easier to learn her way around the outside here if she could actually fly, but she's afraid of transforming at the immediate present -- she isn't sure if the stitches will carry between forms, or at least remain on her human form. There's no real way she can risk it.
So she's ended up just throwing on a hoodie, jeans, and boots, carefully picking her way around the building and the ways outside and looking more than a little lost and irritated.]

Here's to hoping he doesn't literally bump into anyone.

She seemed okay now, but still...he was a little concerned. Despite his arrogance, Nero felt it was his duty to protect others. He wouldn't have become a Knight if he didn't.
That and he liked fighting, so, you know...win/win.]
