EGYPTIAN WHEELIES
[Malik had found something while looking through the East Wing. Just what that "something" was becomes apparent when an engine roars to life, and the skid of tires on tiled flooring echoes through the halls.
Sure...sure, he could just walk his new bike outside...but where was the fun in that?! This wasn't an ATV, and it likely wasn't going to fair well in the spotty terrain outdoors...
So he's just going to take a few smooth-riding laps in the halls before he goes to test it outside.
When somebody gets in his way, he rears the bike back onto one wheel, skidding a few feet on the floor before the front tire slams back down and he comes to a stop.]
What, are you trying to get yourself killed?

Bakura-kun is my friend too. And I'm not going to run off and just drop that.
[Having an actual friend -- someone maybe more than that -- it wasn't something she'd give up without a fight. Besides, these threats... it was just a way of lashing out. Yes, she remembers Bakura saying that. So it's all right. She'll go ahead and take them... she's given them out enough, though not quite to that degree.]
So... we're going to have to learn to get along, Malik-kun. If just so we don't have to worry Bakura-kun.
no subject
But okay, Karasu-chan. You win. [He smiles, holding the object out so the eye faces her.] I'll get along...
[Activating the Rod's powers, Malik soothingly speaks into her subconscious.
It's nice outside...why don't you go take a walk?]
no subject
Ah... it really is nice... Too good to be in here... isn't it?
Without a word, she turns around and starts walking for the door, fully under Malik's spell.]
no subject
Outside...if you head Northeast there's a beautiful cliff side view. It's to die for...]
no subject
So it doesn't take her too long to find her way there, standing at the edge to look down at the view.]
no subject
Wouldn't it be nice...to let the cool waves engulf you? Drowning in the beauty of the ocean...
If there was any way to go, that would be it.]
no subject
And without hesitation...
Karasu steps off the cliff.]
no subject
-- and that's when Malik's control snaps, with the last thought registering in Karasu's head.
I'm falling.]
no subject
Either way, he wasn't concerned. That girl was drowning in the waves of the merciless sea by now.
Hmm--footsteps? Malik quickly hides the Rod and looks over.]
no subject
[Those footsteps came to a halt a short distance away, Bakura's attention fixed on Malik. He couldn't claim to be worried about the guy, or whatever poor fool pissed him off this time... but that didn't mean he wasn't going to wonder.]
no subject
[Malik can't help it; an ill-wishing grin spreading across his dark features. It was obvious he'd done...something to somebody, but the question of "who" remained.]
no subject
[Yep, that grin meant trouble. Slipping his hand into his hip pocket, he flicked the hair out of his face with the other.]
I'm going to regret asking, but who did you maim or kill just now?
no subject
Malik had tried to kill her. No, he had tried to make her kill herself.
And Karasu was angry.
Which is why the ceiling above Malik is suddenly being crushed in from above, a sharp set of claws punching through it to slam down and close tightly around the Egyptian boy's body, pinning his arms to his sides and preventing his escape.]
no subject
Malik lets out a cry when the ceiling collapses, covering his head to try and protect himself from falling debris.
He barely even sees the dragon coming before he's suddenly snatched up by it, causing him to let out another terrified yelp. The situation hasn't even registered to him yet as he looks up at the beast, face turning ashen at the sight.
He couldn't reach his deck...his Rod...he was defenseless.]
no subject
[Debris scatters around them, coating the floor in dust and plaster as Bakura jumps back without thinking. He doesn't even notice the pressure on his leg as he stops, realizing. That attack isn't aimed for him!
It takes him a second or two to make sense of the situation. Massive dragon possibly about to eat Malik - the fuck did you do, idiot?! - minimal resources, they were quite possibly screwed... Except the dragon hadn't just blasted Malik apart. That meant it wasn't Rosenkreuz.
...
Oh no.]
Karasu-?!
[Without thinking, he leaps into action, hurling himself over to stand behind the clenched fist of the dragon.]
Oi! What are you doing, Karasu?! Let go of him!
no subject
The walls and ceiling further give under her claws as she flaps her wings, taking to the air and flying off towards the forest.
She knows where she's going to take you, Malik... right to that cliff. To show you just how dead you really are.]
no subject
no subject
Welp, looks like he's running like hell. At least he'll be able to summon something to disrupt her if she does try to kill him.]
no subject
The dragon drops to the ground on the edge of the cliff, the claw with Malik extended over the cliff that he had sent her off not a few minutes ago. He isn't dropped, no no... instead, after dangling him for a moment, she brings him back over solid ground, brings him up to her eye level, and roars, right in his goddamn face so he can see every last fang in that mouth of hers.]
no subject
He clings desperately to Karasu's claws, chest heaving in horror at the sight of the sea below. The waves were crashing against the cliff side, threatening to swallow him up.] Nn--w-wait, wait!
[Even the brief relief that comes with being pulled back is cut short by the sudden, deafening roar.] A-AAAAUUUHHHH!
no subject
Though it doesn't take him long at all, by the time he reaches the cliffside he's quite thoroughly pissed off at both of them. Honestly, he can't leave either of you alone, can he? Thankfully, he suspects Karasu probably doesn't know that people come back from the dead... otherwise she'd have already dropped him. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of murderers around either - and she'd have told him, because they had mentioned their 'enemy' was killed. He's sure of that.
...what the hell would a normal person say in front of this situation?]
KARASU-CHAN, STOP IT! IF YOU DROP HIM, YOU'LL BE A MURDERER! DO YOU WANT THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE?!
no subject
Murderer. Could she...
...
Slowly, she shakes her head back and forth. She can't do it. She can't kill Malik, as much as the burning instincts in her want to; remove the threat that tried to kill her, eye for an eye...
She shifts away from the cliff edge, so there's no chance of Malik falling.
But even though she shakes her head, her claws tighten slightly on Malik and she growls, deeply. She may not kill him... but she won't be putting him down either.]
no subject
It seems Bakura's words had stopped her, but even then he couldn't will himself to move or speak. It felt as if there was cotton in his mouth.]
no subject
[He keeps speaking loud enough that he's sure she can hear him, intentionally adding in a tremor or two to his voice. To prey on her fondness for him a little more, he keeps his distance from her, backing away as if afraid she'll turn on him next.]
no subject
...Her eyes turn to Malik, and she slowly lowers her claw to the ground, releasing him there. But once he's released, she begins to back away herself, staying in hearing range but making sure there's some distance between them all.
Her wings tremble, a clear indication of her sudden want to fly away, but for the moment, it seems like she's resisting the desire.]
