[The buzzing of an intercom coming to life that you've all undoubtedly have come to know and love can be heard throughout the entire campus again.]

For the record, 'property damage' includes smashing the intercoms I've so graciously provided you all with as a means to communicate with me. In case you hadn't realized.

[She clears her throat.]

Now then, I hope that little blackout didn't keep you all from being productive. Sharpen those minds!

Right. [She raises her index finger thoughtfully, tilting her head. What kind of hint to give? Well, the most basic one will do, she supposes.]

Consider all of the cards in your deck. Which one's your favorite? Do you feel a connection with your cards? If you don't, it's time to get new ones. ... Got it?

....What kind of hint is that? [He blurts out the words incredulously.

A favourite card, a connection to his cards... What did that have to do with anything? These cards were just a means for him to defeat the Pharaoh! Or in this case, a means for him to escape this prison.]

[Somehow, that reaction doesn't surprise her at all. Of course he doesn't have sentimental attachments to his cards like that.]

It's a serious one! Trust me, in this style of dueling it's important.

[Harriet knows more about this style of dueling than he does. So for now, he'll take her "hint".

He could already summon monsters now by reaching through the spirits beyond the cards, so maybe that's all she meant by needing a "connection"? Sheer force of will as he blindly groped through the darkness... That's how he did it.]

[Harriet nods. She wasn't about to tell him why it was important - but if he thought back to any duels he'd seen involving their group, as well as the armor they'd donned to keep him out, he should realize the significance. War Dueling involved partially becoming one of your monsters. Harriet couldn't imagine doing it with a card that had no significance - she could never don one of Henry's cards as armor, even if he gave it to her. She was sure that if Malik didn't have a card like that, he couldn't even get through summoning the Deck Leader armor. That means she couldn't teach him even if she wanted to. Granted, she's still pretty adamant against it, but ... even if it meant she got played a little bit, she didn't want to reject what he had showed her. She just had to do so within reason. And there was no need to entertain him any further than that.]

Mm, go ahead.
