FEAST MADE WITH ~LOVE~

[A few days of trying to get back to the Forbidden Lands without eating much was starting to wear on Wander, so he decided to try and find some food. He couldn't find any lizards running around, nor could he find any fruit trees, but he did find a cafeteria with a...awfully...nice, yeah sure, nice woman offering food.

That didn't end well for Wander, who ate all of it just to be nice. So he set off to find food that wouldn't have him throwing it all back up minutes later. Eventually, he did! A nice room stocked with food that didn't look as if it were decomposing as you ate it. But...he couldn't for the life of him figure out all the strange equipment (stoves, fridges, ect) in the room. Some of them got really hot, while others were cold! The cold box is about the only thing he could figure out, really. It was straight forward enough. So instead of trying to figure out how all these things would help him make his food, he cleared out a large area off to the side, made a pit of various wood items he found, and made his own fire pit.

Eventually there's lots of food placed around, some cooking over the fire. But it's not just for him! He remembered seeing some people wandering around looking lost, much like himself. So he thought he'd prepare food for other weary travelers.

So come say high to the sickly looking young man and enjoy this spread of food! Which consists mostly of meat, veggies, fruit, things he actually recognized! And maybe question why the hell he's got a fire pit (although well maintained) when there are plenty of stoves and ovens around. But honestly, his cloths might be a bit of a giveaway.]

((ooc: WANDER MADE FOOD COME SAY HI. Also feel free to use as a mingle.))

[Died? That is... rather the unfortunate coincidence. Yes, he believes that's a coincidence rather than a curse. What curse could kill people around you just for being close?]

[Whatever the cause, the results are clear and Link can't really imagine having to deal with people he cares about dying around him like that. And as though the girl's words alone don't convey enough grief, hearing her voice crack as she talks is too much for him to hear without doing something. The hand on Pyrrha's shoulder is soon used to tug her closer into an awkward but reasonably substantial sideways hug.]

That's all... really horrible. I can understand why you don't want to talk about it.

[And at the same time, sticks by his position that talking about it can only be helpful in the end.]

But I just want you to know that you can tell me anything, okay? And I promise you I won't die either. Want to know something else? My sword repels evil! A curse won't stand a chance. You really don't need to worry about me... and I'll make sure to keep us safe at night.

[Pyrrha wasn't entirely certain how she expected Link to react. You'd think that the average, normal person would at least become vaguely uncomfortable at the revelation that their friendship with someone may or may not eventually result in their unavoidable doom. And it's not that she wanted Link to suddenly feel uncomfortable around her- but it's important now, that he remains both aware and prepared for such danger, right? Still, confessing that hadn't been easy. -Nor was her verbal admission of feeling very fond of him. It all made her very anxious; her stomach in knots as she waited for the boy to react. But what she certainly didn't expect, is what happened next.]

-! [Pyrrha blinks; gasping a small breath as she's pulled in for an awkward sort of half-hug. Her heart flutters in her chest and her cheeks go bright pink; tears momentarily forgotten as she stares wide-eyed out ahead of herself.]

[It feels... warm. But, it's scary too. This is exactly the kind of closeness that she had just been warning him about, after all. ...But she doesn't have it in herself to pull away. So Pyrrha just... keeps entirely still; not allowing herself to return the boy's gesture at all. At the same time, her heart beats so rapidly in her chest that it almost makes it difficult to hear his words.]

Oh... [She doesn't really know what to say. His words are indeed promising. ...Pyrrha wishes that they weren't. He shouldn't... he shouldn't be getting her hopes up like this. He shouldn't be making her believe in him. Eventually, the girl responds, warily; neither encouraging nor discouraging his apparent decision.]

...P-please... stay safe...

[Ah, but Link isn't the average, normal person. Very little makes him feel uneasy, and even if it does, he's very quick to brush those feelings aside. It might be wise to feel a little concerned, but Zelda's the one with all the wisdom while Link has the blind courage. The threat of dying has never once stopped him from doing what he needs or wants to do.]

[It doesn't matter that Pyrrha isn't returning the gesture at all; he wouldn't expect her to since he was the one who initiated it without asking he permission. Nonetheless, Link does find that he enjoys holding Pyrrha, even as he hopes he isn't making her too uncomfortable.]

[Stay safe? He always does! Well, except the times he nearly died fighting monsters. Luckily, he always makes sure to jump into the most dangerous situations with a couple handy potions and occasionally a bottled fairy! Not so luckily, he's a bit low on supplies here. Either he'll have to find more or be extra careful to stay out of trouble.]

You stay safe too. [He then glances at the untouched bowl of food in front of Pyrrha.] And you should also eat something.
