[Starting late that night on the 18th and continuing on throughout the rest of the day, the wind and snow howls, beating against the side of the building as it covers everything in several feet of white.

The lights flicker dangerously, and around noon is when the power finally goes. Those within the building are left in a cold-blue darkness and even the smallest comforts of warmth. Any standing water, and anything with a high water content, ices over within hours.]

((ooc: this blizzard lasts the 19th only, but feel free to backtag! There will be one final post on the 21st to signal the snow melting / closing of the event. Not that this isn't as bad as the blackout event. You can still see what's in front of you, but it is relatively dark inside.))

[In the later afternoon, with the sun already setting in the sky, there's the sound of something deep within the building powering down. One after another the lights pop off like a domino effect down the hall, with each room following in suite as the electrical outage worked its way through the building.

It only took a matter of seconds for the Campus to be enveloped in complete, inky darkness. Even with the proper time to adjust one's vision, it was still neigh-impossible to see. There was nothing but cold, lonely blindness.

Outside, the sun set...and it didn't rise again the next morning. The only saving grace was the starry night sky and the waning moon too keep the denizens from being completely consumed by darkness.]

((The darkness has come...RUN! Everything's the same, but now both the INSIDE and OUTSIDE of the island/campus are dark. It's much easier to see outside though, thanks to the stars and moon in the sky. Characters are free to improvise light sources, but nothing electrical that needs to plug in will be functioning. If something runs on batteries, it'll last until those die.

This event will stretch until the end of Sept. 18th, feel free to tag in to this post, or to make your own threads! Have fun!))

[Much like last time, the intercom buzzes to life in the middle of the night for only a moment. An annoyed sigh can be heard.]

Oh dear. That's not supposed to happen...

[That's the last thing everyone will hear during the night. But in the morning, they will find themselves surrounded by vegetation so thick it'd be almost impossible to tell that they're in a school if they didn't already know. Vines coming out of the floorboards and covering the walls/ceilings, exotic plants growing out of the walls. Not to mention the wildlife! Just about any animal you would imagine to be in a jungle, dangerous or not, can be found lurking in the school. But don't worry! Not every corner of the campus is infested with poisonous plants and carnivorous beasts. The cafeteria is one hundred percent clear. It seems that the lunch lady's awful cooking is doing some good at keeping the wildlife at bay. In fact, anything that starts to grow anywhere near to doors of the lunchroom dies off pretty quickly!

May want to steer clear of the auditorium, though. The vegetation there is the thickest...and most dangerous.]

((TIME FOR ANOTHER EVENT. Seeing as how this one went up a day late it'll go on until the 19th. Every area is covered in vines, flowers, and animals. Some are dangerous (plants included) and some are harmless -- I'll leave that up to player discretion on what's hanging around. As long as they're plants/animals that would normally be found in any kind of jungle. Remember: nothing too big, it has to fit in the campus! The air is also really humid and muggy. The auditorium will have the bulk of the dangerous animals/plants, and also the biggest!

Lisa the nurse will be around to heal wounds or any poison (the symptoms of the poisonous plants are up to you. It's not a mind altering poison or anything, though), but her office will still be filled with vines and small animals, nothing dangerous. And as mentioned above the cafeteria is all clear and Edna will be around cooking all her awful food. Have fun!

[Very much annoyed that he mysteriously can't seem to exit the room he entered for some reason, Miguel lets out an annoyed grunt.]

Que suplicio- What now??

[This room is very odd indeed; mounds of random junk littering the floor against the walls and in all four corners of the large space. In the middle of the junk-filled room, there is a table. On that table is a hat. Within the hat are small slips of paper with something written on them.]

[Entrants into this certain room will find themselves unable to leave until they draw a slip of paper and then locate whatever (or whoever) is written on it. The door opens only when the item is brought out with them. Items can be nearly anything; ranging from a puppy to a shoe to a signed copy of the Necronomicon to whatever else.]

((OOC: Players have the option of searching through the mounds of junk for their item (which may take a long while), or participating in a little forced interaction with those other unfortunate trapped souls to obtain what they need to leave. They can help each other out, work only towards their own item, or just mingle with others for the sake of it. It doesn't matter what method they use to get the item or where they find it... Just get what you need! Extra points for creativity in terms of whatever your character must find. It can be just one item or several. For convenience, I'd recommend naming the item that your character must find in the subject-line of your comment. Have fun!))

In the depths of the darkness, a presence stirred. The light echo of footsteps drew across a cobblestone walkway that moved steadily closer to the front of the school grounds. While he'd previously awoken in the empty clinic he'd immediately gone outside, wanting to take a better look at where he'd woken up. Judging from his powerful frame and the combat utility belt he sported along with the large sword strapped to his back, half revealed from his faded black long coat, it was safe to say he was no mere ordinary man.

Before long, a mysterious sparkle began to reflect from the surface of the dark blue pendant shining from the breast of the very person it belonged to, a wide-brimmed traveler's hat drawn low over his eyes making it difficult to see his face all that well. The pendant ranked a distant second to the hauntingly, if not unnaturally beautiful visage that showed briefly below the traveler’s hat. Below the scarf wrapped about his visage that he drew down over his nose there was thick, masculine eyebrows, the smooth bridge of a nose, and tightly drawn lips that manifested the iron strength of his will. Set amid stern features shared only by those who had survived the numerous battles of a grief-ridden world, his eyes harbored sorrow even as they sparkled.

Just then, D peered at the sprawling building with interest. This wasn't the Capital or even the Frontier, by any means. And yet, even he could sense something eerie about this place. There was a kind of distortion that meant there was more to this than met the eye.

"This doesn't look good," a disembodied voice said.

"Quiet."

"Come on, you said you wouldn't let it come to this again…Remember what happened last time when you went looking for trouble?"

"I said quiet," D snapped, making a ball of his fist and then he touched the smooth stone of the outdoor wall with the same hand. "Inside, how many?" "Too many, if you ask me," the voice muttered. "I can't get a good feel for it. There's something strange about all this."

D frowned. He didn't like the feeling behind it either, but there was no way to tell unless he moved indoors. Enclosed spaces where there could be a possible trap didn't bode well for the strange traveler, but he soon did just that.

Where...where am I? [Himiko stumbles out of the nurse's office, bewildered and shaking slightly with a rush of adrenaline.]

This...this isn't the island, is it? But... [She looks down at her waist and notes that the pouch of bombs is still strapped to her. Over her shoulder is a sort of grey-briefcase, and she herself looks to be a bit roughed up.]

[Deciding she can't let her guard down just yet, Himiko begins to slowly make her way down the hall. Every now and then she will limply hold out her right hand, a green oval crystal in the center.]

((ooc: she's kind of jumpy. if you're a dude she'll probably try to run away. or taze you.))

[It's been a while since Jon first arrived here, unconscious and bleeding from several arrow wounds. For most of this, Jon hasn't really been aware of anything. Between waking and drifting off again he's realised that something seems off, but he's been too delirious to make any sense of it. Vaguely, he's sensed that he hasn't heard a familiar voice for a while. Only one- a woman, which is strange enough on its own. There are no women in the Night's Watch. Every so often he thinks he hears the soft padding of feet that wander into the room and stop beside him, and he's felt hot breath on his hand a few times.

Today, Jon seems to come around finally. He blinks at the unfamiliar walls, before struggling to sit up. He's clad in only his breeches, and there are clean bandages wrapped snugly around his torso and his leg. When he touches at his face, he feels the wounds on his skin that will surely scar. This isn't the first time he's thanked the gods that he still has his eyes. His vision is slightly blurry, but there is no mistaking the large white shape to his right when he looks around. Ghost. He nearly falls off the bed entirely when he tries to swing his legs over the edge, reaching out for his direwolf. I thought I'd lost you.

The happy reunion is short lived. Jon gets to his feet slowly, and limps over to where his clothes are folded on a chair. Wildling clothes... with a jolt, he remembers how his last encounter with Ygritte went. He swallows hard as he carefully dresses in garb he feels he has no right to be wearing, and makes his slow way out of the door and into the hallway.

No, this definitely isn't Castle Black, or anywhere else familiar for that matter.]

((this is me trying to explain where Jon has been all this time haha oops :| canon updated him so he's from the end of season 3, but i'll be taking stuff from the books up until this point too))

[Normally, one might count walking into a standard classroom only to find a bright, sunny beach instead to be a very pleasant surprise. But as Tadakuni stood there; blankly trying to wrap his head around what just happened- Only one question plagued his mind enough to dwarf all other concerns.]

.......

WHY AM I IN SCHOOL TRUNKS AGAIN!?

((OOC: Welcome to the Beach Room! Once inside, everyone who enters will suddenly appear dressed in swimwear of some kind. Unfortunately, those who try to leave will find an invisible barrier blocking them from exiting the room for at least 3 hours. So have fun, take a swim, play some volleyball, enjoy the cheesy beach-party music, or find some other activity to occupy your time! Emergency suntan lotion will of course be instantly available for all you beach-goers to avoid a nasty sunburn!))

[A few days of trying to get back to the Forbidden Lands without eating much was starting to wear on Wander, so he decided to try and find some food. He couldn't find any lizards running around, nor could he find any fruit trees, but he did find a cafeteria with a...awfully...nice, yeah sure, nice woman offering food.

That didn't end well for Wander, who ate all of it just to be nice. So he set off to find food that wouldn't have him throwing it all back up minutes later. Eventually, he did! A nice room stocked with food that didn't look as if it were decomposing as you ate it. But...he couldn't for the life of him figure out all the strange equipment (stoves, fridges, ect) in the room. Some of them got really hot, while others were cold! The cold box is about the only thing he could figure out, really. It was straight forward enough. So instead of trying to figure out how all these things would help him make his food, he cleared out a large area off to the side, made a pit of various wood items he found, and made his own fire pit.

Eventually there's lots of food placed around, some cooking over the fire. But it's not just for him! He remembered seeing some people wandering around looking lost, much like himself. So he thought he'd prepare food for other weary travelers.

So come say high to the sickly looking young man and enjoy this spread of food! Which consists mostly of meat, veggies, fruit, things he actually recognized! And maybe question why the hell he's got a fire pit (although well maintained) when there are plenty of stoves and ovens around. But honestly, his cloths might be a bit of a giveaway.]

((ooc: WANDER MADE FOOD COME SAY HI. Also feel free to use as a mingle.))
