CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK
[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.
Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.
For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]
((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.
The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

...¿Qué?
[Where exactly did the building go? What sorcery is he dealing with this time?]
no subject
Oh. There you are.
no subject
Si, here I am. Now where is the building?
[He gestures around them, then starts to pat himself down to make sure his weapons are still on him. Thankfully, they are.]
no subject
[Whether the building moved or simply disappeared, he can't be sure, which is why he's planning to search for it. The air is practically frigid in the night, and he's trying his best not to shiver too much with his arms and legs exposed as they are.]
We should look around. A building can't have gotten far.
no subject
[Fixing his coat, he glares at their surroundings as if trying to intimidate the building into coming back.]
It is lucky for us that the sky is clear. We will not be stumbling around like fools in the dark.
no subject
Indeed.
[He glances up at the sky, watching the stars twinkle innocent down at them. Hmph. Those stars probably aren't even real.]
We should head toward the forest. That would be our best chance of finding food and shelter.
no subject
[He sticks close to Vulpes as they walk towards the forest, not wanting to end up losing him- though honestly, that probably wouldn't be a problem. Pale as he is, even under the moonlight Vulpes practically glows.]
You said that you are from a place where shelter is not always available, yes? Then you are surely used to making your own. You also have no weapons with which to hunt. I will find the food, you will make the shelter.

When travelling, we usually bring tents and bedrolls. Barring that, we may stay in abandoned shacks or stores. The Wasteland is largely void of plant life that can provide anything useful for constructing shelters.
[In other words: no, he doesn't have much experience making shelters.]
Our best bet would be to find a cave, or to sleep in a tree.
no subject
[Ugh... sleeping in a cave? He doesn't think he could sleep in a tree, so a cave is the only other option.]
A cave will have to do, I suppose.
no subject
Assuming we can find one.
[There were plenty of caves in the Mojave. Unfortunately, most of them were inhabited by some of the Wasteland's most deadly creatures. But, once cleared out, they made excellent hideouts that were easily defensible.]
Keep your eyes peeled.
no subject
[Micheletto gives Vulpes an odd look at that- keep his eyes peeled? What?- but says nothing, looking out for a cave that could be used for shelter. A while passes in silence, but they finally find what they're looking for at the edge of the forest. Micheletto stoops down to look inside- a nearby crab raises its claws at him defensively, and he snorts and kicks it across the cave floor.]
This will do.
no subject
Very well.
[Fortunately, the cave doesn't appear to be home to anything particularly dangerous. So as long as none of his enemies happen by, there shouldn't be any serious fights to worry about.]
Now to find food.
no subject
[He rubs his chin thoughtfully, looking around.]
Perhaps you should build a fire.
[He pulls out his stiletto and hands it to Vulpes. It would be stupid to leave him here with no way to defend himself.]
I will be back shortly.
[Well... he hopes so, anyway.]
no subject
[Vulpes can't help but wonder if there's a specific reason why Micheletto isn't taking him to hunt. It isn't because he doesn't have a weapon... as he has one in his hand now. Hnn.]
[Still, someone does need to build a fire, so he decides not to waste time arguing it. There are plenty of branches and sticks around for him to use, so he gathers the best ones together and brings them into the cave. By the time Micheletto returns, he'll have a decent sized fire going.]
no subject
[When he comes back he's managed to kill an animal of some sort, and he dumps it on the ground beside the fire and nods in approval.]
Bene, this will keep us warm.
no subject
[When Micheletto returns, Vulpes glances at the dead animal from his seat in front of the fire. Good... at least they have something to eat now. He also feels a bit warmer sitting by the fire, though he finds himself wishing he'd been left with his sleep pants in addition to his usual clothes.]
It's better than nothing. What did you kill?
