CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK
[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.
Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.
For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]
((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.
The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

This is about our escape, remember? Besides, all I did was sleep when I was sick...what's the big deal?
no subject
[Don't you care about him, Malik?]
no subject
[He's really not seeing the problem here.]
no subject
Kh, see if I look after you next time you get sick or injured! Go away, then! Go play with your stupid toy!
[The blanket pile shakes angrily.]
no subject
...You know you're important to me, Bakura.
[But even so, he didn't appreciate being bossed around.]
But the longer I wait, the larger the chance that Harriet will back out!
no subject
I know... sorry. I can't seem to think straight right now. My head's all fuzzy.
I can look after myself, so go on.
no subject
[Chiding words aside, Malik leans forward and presses his smirking lips to what little skin Bakura's exposed.]
I'll bring you something back~ Keh keh keh.
no subject
Though Ryou would probably handle it better than he did.]
no subject
Harriet~ [His voice gently echoes in her head.] I have my deck. You've had your time to think and I've had mine... So I think we should finally come to a decision, don't you?
no subject
It has been a few months since the time when he forced control over her. Was it like this before? It didn't seem like it, but then... it seems he is only talking to her this time. Still, they'd been doing just fine by meeting up whenever. If he was so eager, they could have set an appointment or something. Does he expect her to just drop whatever she's doing right now? How annoying!! The edge is present in her mental voice:]
Buzz off, Malik. I'm busy.
[She thinks it on principle and goes back to her tea. Tea time totally counts as being busy, right?]
no subject
What about when you're done, then?
no subject
[sip.
She hopes this will make him think twice about using the rod to contact her. As much as she makes it sound inconvenient, it's really just uncomfortable. That voice echoing in her mind... it sharply reminds her of the reason not to accept the deal. Though regardless of that, it would have been impossible to forget their shady history. It had already been considered at length.]
... I do have some time in an hour.
no subject
Fine. Let's meet on the Northern side of the roof in an hour, then.
[Not waiting for a response, Malik breaks contact with his soul fragment and sets the Rod back down.
Well, he can't go back inside now and risk Bakura whining at him to stay... So he'll just find himself some breakfast and then head to the roof, practicing his summoning as he waits for Harriet.
When she arrives, he'll have Twin-Headed Behemoth out and standing protectively at his side.]
Oy, oy, there you are~ I've been waiting.
no subject
You're certainly enthusiastic... I take it you've prepared an offer, then.
no subject
...I'll let you hold Ra--for the time being--in exchange for your lessons. [His expression remains stern, testing her gaze.]
no subject
My final condition is a ticket to the grand escape that you're planning.
[little does she remember that was what he offered her way back then, when they met on the roof...]
no subject
Keh keh...very well. Then when the time comes you'll return Ra to me, and the final part of our deal will be sealed.
no subject
[she takes the card... and almost drops it from the feeling she gets from it. It's like all the magic in her body just physically recoiled at it and spiraled into a frothing rage. She hisses slightly.]
What the fuck?!
no subject
His expression had almost betrays him before he coolly covers it up with a lie and his usual arrogant smile.]
Careful~ The Gods don't like being held by just anybody. Sometimes they'll bite at first, if your soul isn't worthy.
no subject
[She's being completely candid in her shock, but his lie was well timed - she buys it, if only because she couldn't imagine a fake giving off a 'vibe' of any kind. Ra must simply be one angry mother. She hurries to stash it someplace where it can't fraternize with her deck, and sighs when the feeling fades.]
no subject
[Hopefully that will keep Harriet from trying to summon it, because the last thing he wants is for his pawn to get killed. Even if she does come back, the deal would likely be over.]
Now that that's settled... I'll let you decide how we start.
no subject
[She looks at Twin-Headed Behemoth...]
Is this the leader you had in mind?
no subject
That's right. I've chosen Twin-Headed Behemoth. Or should I say it's chosen me?
no subject
[actually, she doubts it.]
You're going to bond that monster to your 'self' - it's your medium to the ancient power that's used in these duels. Once it's materialized as armor, it'll call the rest of the monsters and magic to their cards, and give you that telepathic connection to them. With me so far?
no subject
[Malik reaches to his cargo pocket, pulling out his deck and looking at it with a confident smile.]
So instead of reaching into these cards myself and summoning the monsters within through sheer force of will... I'm making a pact with one monster who aids me in doing the same thing, is that it?
