[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!
[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.
Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!
Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

[His father had bought it for him, sure, but the man hadn't even noticed the thing until Ryou toted it over with a smile and lots of questions.
Still, how could the spirit have possibly arranged that? And why would he assume his father would take it?]

[That was interesting. Could it be that this was a different 'offshoot'? An alternate reality? ...pft, surely not. That sort of thing only happened in anime and video games.]
no subject
[He awkwardly rubs the back of his head, trying to smile.]
Because I'm pretty sure I got it in a pawn shop in Domino City.

[He sounds more bemused than anything, though he does manage a slight chuckle. Circling around Ryou, he looks him over suspiciously. There are differences, sure... but there's too many similarities, too. This is definitely Ryou Bakura.]
It's not possible... is it?
no subject
Um...well, I definitely know how I got the Ring.
no subject
What sorcery was this? He'd suspected contact lenses, but there clearly wasn't any contacts in Ryou's eyes. He had green eyes.]
Ryou-kun, be a dear and tell me what eye colour I have.

[Letting go of him, he stares at Ryou with a curious air about him.]
Interesting... I really don't know what the hell is going on, but it's interesting. Like something out of a science fiction novel.

[He wants to talk to the spirit, now. See how different he is. But he can wait for an opportunity.]
You suit the green, though. It gives you a bit of brightness to offset the pale.
no subject
...That, plus our eyes...
[It's clear what he's getting at now, although Ryou is hesitant to say it. Because if he does...then his future is even more uncertain. Everything he'd learned to try and prevent the worst things from happening might be useless entirely.
Eyes, and how he got the Ring...those were only minor differences. Maybe the rest would be the same.]
no subject
...what's your father's hair colour, Ryou?
no subject
[He's a bit saddened, but also relieved now that he thinks about it. His future may be uncertain now, but that also means none of those bad things might happen at all. Sorry, Aniki...]
Un, anyway...father's hair is white, like mine.
no subject
[You can make that apology in person, Ryou, because Bakura ain't explaining any of this to the sleeping Ryou inside.]
no subject
...Yes? Why wouldn't I be...? I want to know the answer to this just as much as you.
no subject
[This is getting more and more twisted by the day.]
no subject
[For better or for worse, he supposes.]

[In not so nice words, of course.]

And we are quite old after all! Even if our timelines differ slightly in places, he's quite the grumpy old man at the moment.
no subject
Anyway, I guess I'll just have to give him more time... But I really hope he warms up a bit. It doesn't seem right to just leave him there alone, but then I don't want to risk putting on the Ring either, after what he did...
no subject
Who knows! I know a few people who'd claim otherwise. [Resting his hand on his hip, he grins broadly. It'd be easy to mistake him for an actual teenager, like this.]
You don't want my advice, but you're getting it anyway. Keep the Ring off. I don't know if he's following the same path as I did, anymore, but his memories likely haven't returned. Letting him take control now would be dangerous for your friends.
no subject
U-un, I definitely don't plan on putting it back on. He's too dangerous. All I meant was... I want to give him something else to do besides sit in that emptiness all day. It seems so lonely... [Ryou mumbles a bit towards the end, eyes downcast and sympathetic.]
no subject
[The look of shock on his face can't be denied. That was definitely unexpected. Even after hearing all the things the spirit might do, he still felt sympathetic? What a weak way of thinking. Touching... but undoubtedly weak. It was quite a vulnerability.]
You truly are a kind person. I know many people who would just have locked him away and thrown away the key.
