[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!
[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.
Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!
Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

[He reaches back, pulling out a few cards. Malik continues to speak almost matter-of-factly, although his sadistic nature seems to grow with every syllable uttered.]
I could have used the Rod, but I decided to pin him with a few of my monsters instead. I figured that would get the point across better about just how powerless he is when compared to me~
[Tilting the Rod a bit in his hand.] ...And then I dug into his mind, bringing up the memory of his punishment game. You should have seen him, Bakura...writhing on the floor in terror. He's lucky I didn't do worse.

[Fucking hell, that's hot.]

[Heh... he really has been underestimating this bastard. All of the whininess and uselessness of the last month or so made him forget what type of person he was dealing with. He likes it... this side of Malik. It's delightful.]
Heheh... You may have broken his mind, you know!
no subject
I really didn't feel like moving again, you know? Keh keh, but if you wanted to see...
[He holds up the Rod, pointing it at Bakura.] I can do that.
no subject
[Bakura stares back at him curiously. He can't tell if that's a threat or not. He doubts it, but best to be sure.]
What the hell are you going to do with that thing?
no subject
[Malik tilts the Rod again, looking at it with a devious little smile.] I was going to show you what I saw. Or I could put the Ring on and you could look that way.
Either way.

[It's a casual admittance, but a true one. Tucking his legs beneath him, he looks the picture of an ordinary teenager waiting to be shown an interesting video.]

It starts with Karasu leading him to the Thief King's room, and goes from there. The summonings, Twin-Headed Behemoth's twisted playfulness, his voice echoing through Karasu, and finally the Thief King huddled on the floor before Malik took his leave, leaving Karasu behind.
Once he's done, he lowers the Rod with a knowing look.]

[Fucking hell. He should be less thrilled by the sight of his past self in such a broken state, but the grin on his face says otherwise.]
I'm getting chills... H-heh heh...

I was going to drive him to suicide, but... There's not much of a point in this place, is there?
[That and Karasu wouldn't assist him if he'd gone that far. It was mostly the first thing, though.]

[He must have been planning to try to end it before his time could come... Kh, he couldn't allow that! Even if it would mean getting things done with faster, he might never have existed this long if he hadn't fucked up back then... Even with the negative parts of such an existence, it was still an existence he clung to. He'd have to get the Eye back.]

Only a fool would come at me now.
no subject
[Yeah, uh.]
I guess you're right. It's not like my past self is enough of an idiot to try again! ...I hope.
no subject
[Malik leans in skeptically.]
Tell me, just how foolish is your past self...?

He mistook gold-painted pens for real gold. And after recovering from that initial penalty game, he wanted to go right back after Yugi until I talked him down.
He's an absolute moron.

[Malik blinks, mouth hanging open slightly in dull disbelief.]
Huh. Well.
no subject
I can't blame him for the latter, I would have wanted to do the same. I wouldn't, of course... I'm much more meticulous than that. Keh keh.
no subject
As to the revenge part... I can understand that, but there's no point in going right back out after you nearly died. Tch, I was a reckless kid.
[The guy has to be in his early twenties, and yet he's referring to him as a kid. Shows how he thinks of him.]
no subject
[Malik leans back, throwing his arms over the back of the chair and crossing his legs.]
He was older than me! About Rishid's age, if I had to make a guess.
no subject
[Sitting back, he shrugs uncaringly.]
If you think you knew little about the world when you came out into it, just imagine what it's like for him.
no subject
But you're right, he's immature. His plans to get the Rod from me were sloppy and poorly thought out. And he was punished as such for his failure... [Malik grins.]
no subject
[By which he means Malik, as well as the Rod.]
It's been a long time since I've seen you work like that. Heh heh... I forgot how wonderful it was!
no subject
[What's "his", hm? Malik doesn't mind the possessiveness, after all... They've come to that understanding already.
He likes it, even, because it goes both ways, and Malik makes that clear by leaning over to plant a soft kiss on Bakura's cheek.]
