[EVENT: BEACH TIME!]

[Normally, one might count walking into a standard classroom only to find a bright, sunny beach instead to be a very pleasant surprise. But as Tadakuni stood there; blankly trying to wrap his head around what just happened- Only one question plagued his mind enough to dwarf all other concerns.]

WHY AM I IN SCHOOL TRUNKS AGAIN!?

((OOC: Welcome to the Beach Room! Once inside, everyone who enters will suddenly appear dressed in swimwear of some kind. Unfortunately, those who try to leave will find an invisible barrier blocking them from exiting the room for at least 3 hours. So have fun, take a swim, play some volleyball, enjoy the cheesy beach-party music, or find some other activity to occupy your time! Emergency suntan lotion will of course be instantly available for all you beach-goers to avoid a nasty sunburn!))

[Leon arches an eyebrow at that, perplexed.]

What, did somebody spike the batter? [He laughs at his own joke.]

Nah, it didn't feel like that sort of thing.

[Trust him, he would know.]

[Unlike some, Norman doesn't find it weird at all that Leon is laughing at his own lame joke.]

I'd say avoid food found outside the cafeteria, but considering the quality of the stuff served there, I might not even be able to follow my own advice.

[Leon places a hand on his hip, looking amused by that statement.]

Now I'm reminded of my highschool days. I think I saw a culinary room on the way here though. There might me something useful in there.

[Oh, they're probably somewhere. Maybe in the culinary room.]

High school... yeah, I'd rather not think about those days.

[He'd been picked on a lot in high school. His fascination with serial killers hadn't endeared him to anyone either.]

Oh, I must have missed that room. That'll be something to check out later.

They weren't the worst of times...although I could do without my fashion sense.

[Leon, unlike Jayden, was pretty popular in high school! Not football quarterback popular, but well-liked at the least.]

Yeah, the only problem is you need to know how to cook. I don't know about you, but I can burn scrambled eggs if I'm not careful.

Then you were lucky.

[People can be so petty when they're young. Unfortunately, his own likability didn't increase greatly after high school, but he's been doing better ever since he broke the Origami Killer case and became a national 'hero'.]

Ah... I'm not much of a chef myself. I guess we could give it a shot if there are cookbooks.

[If it's between that and the cafeteria, he's willing to give it a shot.]

I guess. I wouldn't call myself too lucky... [A bit lower than before, almost telling.] I've found myself in more than my fair share of tight situations...

[But enough about him! Leon's looking chipper again as he brings a hand up to his chin.]

Well, I never was good at following directions. But I suppose it can't hurt to try.

Oh yeah? I know a thing or two about tight situations.

[He arches an eyebrow at that.]

You work for the president, and you're bad at following directions? I can't see that ending well.

[Yeah, yeah, he's clearly not referring to his career. What's wrong with a little joke?]

Haha, well... [He rubs the back of his head when an awkward smile.] Sometimes you just have to improvise.

[He laughs, assuming now Leon is joking. The federal government isn't usually too fond of improvisation among its officers.]

So, what were you gonna do here? Go for a swim? Play some volleyball?

[Only when those officers weren't Leon S. Kennedy, obviously. Leon was known for having to improve his way out of the most obscure circumstances. It's not that he didn't try to follow the initial objective...]

A swim doesn't sound half bad. I could use some work on my doggie paddle.

[He supposes he shouldn't say too much... Norman had done some serious improvising of his own during the Origami Killer case. He could've died half a dozen times or more with all those risks.]

Doggie paddle? Even I can do better than that.

[And in some alternative universe, Jayden, you probably are. And so is Leon, for that matter.]

Whaat? Don't tell me you can cat-stroke.

[Norman looks up at Leon, obviously confused.]

Cat-stroke? Is that a real thing?

Uh...no. [SIGHS nobody ever gets his jokes. It's okay though, Leon shrugs it off with a smile.]

But anyway, what're we waiting for? I'm baking out here!

[Oh... right. Well, it wasn't exactly a good joke, was it?]

And soon you'll be basting.

[ANYWAY-]

One second. [He pushes himself to his feet and nods toward the ocean before heading in that direction. The sand is really hot so he soon picks up the pace.]

[Be quiet it was great.]

Or boiling. [DON'T GET HIM STARTED JAYDEN.]

[At the very least Leon doesn't have anything else "clever" to say on the way there, and instead wades right in once they make it to the shore.]

Oh man...it's freezing!

Or steaming. [MAYBE HE WANTS TO GET HIM STARTED.]

[Norman follows him into the water, but at a slower pace. It is really damn cold... somehow he'd assumed the ocean would be perfect in this peculiar place.]

All right, maybe no to the boiling and steaming. I haven't gone swimming in the ocean in ages, forgot how cold it was.
