Effect Room: Amnesia
[Today, quite a few of the rooms seem to have taken a liking to inflicting some stupefying amnesia. One might still remember bits and pieces of the past, their name, their family, and common knowledge...or one might forget everything. Either way, the effect only takes place once the room has been exited, and then its poor victims are left to wander the halls in their confusion.]
((ooc: so basically, at some point when walking out of a room, your character is inflicted with amnesia! mingle, tag around, etc.~ Characters who tag into other threads don't have to be affected by the amnesia, only the ones making the thread starters do. Effects last as long as you want.))

[Bakura runs a hand through his mess of white hair, and curiously notes that this Ryou Bakura shares the same unique feature.]
H-hehe, well it's not like I remember any other name to give you now.
[He spreads his arms open, looking up and gesturing to the halls around them.] Tell me... Ryou Bakura, where am I?! I remember only one thing... Egypt. And this isn't it.
no subject
Beats me. We're on an island. Leaving is impossible. That's about all I know.
[His batwings take offence to that accusation of similarity. But it doesn't matter.]
It could be most anywhere in the world...
[Or, more likely, not in the world at all.]
no subject
Fuck. Well what is there to do around here? I'm already bored, look at this place! It's boring.
no subject
I agree! It's boring as hell. But on the plus side, there's pretty much an unlimited supply of food and alcohol. I don't really know what you do for hobbies here, except that you seem to have a habit of hoarding all the shiny expensive things you can find.
Keep your hands off my stuff, by the way.

[At his own words, Bakura seems taken aback, blinking and looking down now at the jewelery that adorned him. The strange hoodie, the robes, the socks...]
Ahaa, that's right... I'm a thief. [He looks up at Ryou and grins.] Then I can't make any promises.
no subject
[He doesn't sound disparaging. More amused, than anything else. But this will be a problem if the man decides to rob him...]
I don't have much of value, and the one thing I do is something I'll guard with my life. It'll probably be more trouble to you than anything else. So be a good boy and leave it alone, won't you? It'd be a pity to ruin our good relationship, after all!
no subject
Is that it? That Ring around your neck... H-heh. Don't worry, I wouldn't want to ruin our "good relationship" before I even know what it is. Besides... I have an odd feeling. I'm a thief, but not so much of the living.
[What was this odd feeling he had... It would be best to stay close to Ryou Bakura, for now.]
no subject
This Ring of mine is my most precious thing.
[He kind of lied about not having anything else of value, but really, he's a born liar. Letting it drop back down to rest against his chest, he smiles a little.]
Your memory should come back soon. Memory loss is rarely permanent.
[Except in his case. But he isn't bringing that up.]
no subject
I wonder what caused this. Maybe food will jog my memory?
no subject
[Stepping closer, he lifts it, holding it out without taking it off. How will the man react, he wonders?]
Like I said, there's plenty of food. I'll make you something to eat, if you want. It's probably better that you don't try to cook if you're missing your memories. You've probably forgotten how to use the oven. If you ever learnt.
no subject
What...was this? He felt angry, inexplicable but so intense it felt like it could rend him apart. Bakura pulls away again, his expression twisted in a grimace.]
Yeah... Make me something! I don't know what a fucking oven is anyway. What kind of place is this...?
no subject
Follow me. I'll explain a little more if you're still feeling lost after you've eaten.
[And he'll just be heading to the home economics room first to grab some damn meat.]
no subject
What language is this?
no subject
English. I can read them pretty easily, but they're just markers to say what room is what.
['kay, nondescript bundle of frozen meat acquired.]
I can cook here, or we can go to your room. Up to you.
no subject
I have a room?
no subject
[Kicking the refrigerator shut, he meets the other man's eyes.]
You claimed one of the rooms for yourself, just like the rest of us did.
no subject
Then I'm interested to see what I've done with the place. I'll know if it's truly mine when I see it.
no subject
[Well then. No time like the present. Nodding to the man, he heads off towards the thief king's dormitory.]
no subject
[So they walk, and soon enough they're at the room. Bakura glances to either side of the hall and then at the strange symbols at the door side once they've stopped.
The symbols seemed different on every door, so it was best he memorized the ones that lead to his own room.]
no subject
[Now does the Thief King have locks figured out or not? Time to test it out. But to his relief, the door opens easily.]
Welcome home, Bakura.
[Like hell he's holding the door open for him, though.]
no subject
It was a bit of a mess, with the furniture all pushed aside to make room for the four-mattress and blanket "nest" in the corner of the room and in front of the bedroom door.
It doesn't ring any bells, but...it certainly looks like something he'd do.]
I guess this is mine. [He walks over, crouching down to peer at some blood stains on the mattress. Hm...]
no subject
He doesn't really trust any of the equipment in here, if there even is any, so he'll reluctantly use his precious knife to cut the meat, concealing it as best he can from the self-professed king of thieves. Soiling his treasure like this... how mundane.]
Like I said... I didn't think anyone else had a room like this. H-heheh...
no subject
He comes back a few minutes later, wandering in and still turning his head every which way as his eyes are assaulted with an overload of foreign materials and devices.]
It feels empty in here, even with all this stuff. How irritating.
no subject
[He glances over his shoulder, sheathing his blade after washing it dry, and casually tosses the meat on the tray, to cook. What the hell did he mean by that?]
The quiet getting to you?
no subject
[Something was missing, but what? The more he tried to figure it out, the more irritated he grew. Eventually Bakura just grumbles and opts to search through all the compartments in the kitchen to distract himself.]
