[Being from Ancient Egypt and all that, seeing the dark, neon-lite laser tag room is enough to make him stumble back in awe. On the wall are vests with a sensor above the heart, as well as a set of guns.

Just beside that is a set of rules that Bakura sure as hell can't read:

EACH PLAYER TAKES ONE VEST AND ITS CORRESPONDING GUN.
DO NOT COVER UP THE SENSOR ON THE VEST.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME IS TO HIT THE TARGET ON OTHER PLAYERS' VESTS.
WHEN YOU ARE HIT, YOUR GUN WILL TURN OFF.
THE LAST PLAYER STANDING WINS!

Needless to say, he just takes a gun and decides to explore the room.]

((ooc: decided to intro one of the new rooms that I added last week (I'll also add these specifics to the setting page). Anyway, play laser tag with each other, tag around, and have fun! Feel free to handwave your character re-entering the game if you want to keep playing after they've already lost once.

Also, feel free to be a big fat cheater and not play by the rules, if that's how your character rolls! That's the fun of RP, isn't it?))

Beats me. I don't even wear dresses that often, remember? I can't imagine how uncomfortable robes would be.

Though that does put mages in a new light...

Maybe that's the real reason mages have low HP... not the lack of armor, but the inability to shield themselves.

That would make sense. Maybe that's also why some of them can have a low speed, too? Because it's just so hard to move.

...and why some have high speeds. If you can move in that robe, you can probably move in anything!

Hoh... you're right! Those who've mastered moving in this sort of thing are probably really agile! But it's probably a really special type of person who can do that.

Probably. Wonder if that comes with the rest of it? "Sorry, but you must be a mage to be awesome enough to not trip over your own feet in this."

That would explain why almost no other classes wear robes or dresses that are as long as this. Maybe Illusionists... but they don't really need to move as much.

When you can make anything and everything appear like you want, you probably could just chill in a chair being carried by hired mercenaries.

Of course! It'd be kind of shallow, but it's definitely the kind of life that makes it easier on the Illusionist. They'd probably be able to hide it if they did fall over all the time.

And hey, you have to admit. Carrying a chair around is probably the easiest job the mercs have ever had!

But it has to be the most boring! I'd think most mercenaries would be pretty pissed if their entire job consisted of hauling some lazy woman around.

Point taken. Maybe just hire workers instead? Then they wouldn't care.

I guess so! And they can always make them look more impressive, too.

It's easy to do that even without magic. The clothes make the man, or so I've heard!

[Picking his gun up, he checks it over.]

This thing's switched itself off, like they said. I'll go get another one.

Alright. I'll go with you so you don't have to try to find me in all this mess.

[Nodding, he heads back to the entryway to reset the game. It doesn't take all that long.]

Hey, Karasu? You really think I look impressive?

Yeah, of course. The Ring's pretty impressive on its own, but you just have the right sort of look for someone wearing it. Plus, you always walk and talk like you're confident about almost everything.

It's kind of hard for you to not be impressive.

Heh. You're right; I'm confident in everything I do. It's not faked, either. Some people find it annoying, but I've never been bothered by other people. If they like me, that's fine. If they don't, then they can go to hell. I won't waste any thoughts worrying over them.

I decided a long time ago... no matter what I do, I'm going to do it as if nothing can go wrong. And if it does go wrong, I'm just going to go with it and try to swing it back on the right track.

That's not a bad way to look at things, I think. I don't have that level of confidence, but... I kind of admire that you do.

[She fidgets with her gun a little.]

You can probably guess, but... things can "go wrong" with me pretty quickly.

With the dragon side, or with the human side?

Both. The dragon side messes things up a lot easier, but... I've had my problems with the human side, too.

What do you mean? Do you have trouble talking to people or something?

[moderndaydragon]

Sometimes... yeah. It's hard to be able to talk to people. It's been pretty easy here, because everyone here has something different about them. Even if not, we're all here from some other world, so it's easy to find something to ask about or talk about.

But back home, even before I moved to Domino, it was always hard to relate -- or even really get close to -- anyone I tended to meet. I know I don't exactly look the most normal as I am, so I blamed that a lot, but... well, you don't look too much different from me. Not as pale, but our hair's very close in color.

[Sigh.]

Like I said before -- I think -- I never really made friends that easily. But it's been almost too easy to do that here. I mean, I'm thankful for that, but it just makes me wonder if I really am out of place with "normal" people.
