[So, those in one of the halls are being treated to a sight. Karasu, in annoyance and frustration, crushed half a wall and ate an intercom.

And it's given her a stomachache. So this particular hallway is now being completely blocked by a dragon who only just barely fits, and even then very precariously, as she's already wrecked one foundation and her mere presence has dented the ceiling and other walls.



Alternatively, a bit later on, Karasu in her human form can be found in the arcade, still with somewhat of a stomachache and sitting at one of the machines in a high-legged chair she stole found somewhere.]

She's still a person! ...at least, I think so. It's kind of hard to backstab someone five times if they're a real person.

What? And they say videogames make you violent! You'd be useless in a real fight.

Hey, in a real fight, I can go into a dragon and just sit on them!

But what if you couldn't transform for any reason? You should at least be able to knock people out.

W-well, most people don't usually treat me like someone as reliable as all that. But I'll definitely protect you if you need it.

I think I can actually look forward to going home now. I met another Yugi-kun... and he said that we'd say friends as well. So there's now two people back in Domino City I know I can talk to.

It's like a lightning bolt struck him. Yugi? Karasu was getting close with Yugi? And not the one he knew from here? Depending on when that one came from, that could be very, very bad.]

Yugi-kun... huh?

[He manages to sound relatively normal at least.]

I didn't know there was more than one of him running around.

It seems so. The one I talked to though looked much older and more mature. He carried himself a lot more confidently, too.

[A lot more. He was almost like a different person.]

He kept encouraging me to not be so gloomy.

That description settles in on him like a cloud of doom. Why hadn't the Ring alerted him? No, with the other Puzzle being here, it probably hadn't noticed.]

That's... the Yugi I know, most likely. The one I met here before was younger.

[It's impossible to sound normal. He forces a cough, covering his mouth. Maybe if he makes her think the strained atmosphere of his voice was just a sore throat, he can get away with it.]

You should meet him, then! I'm sure he'd be happy to see you again!

[She does notice that, frowning a little in concern at the cough.]

Are you okay?

[He chokes at those words, but nods.]

My throat's.. aching a little. And kind of dry. I blame the weather recently.

Yeah... it's been pretty bad, hasn't it?

[She buys it completely, just giving him a slightly worried look.]

Don't you get sick now, too.

Ugh... I rarely get sick, but if I get sick now, it'll be the second time in four months. This place is a bad influence on my immune system.

[He thanks every God there is that she's falling for it.

But... Yugi. This is a big problem.]

I think it does that on purpose. But at least you didn't eat an intercom, right?

I think I'd die if I tried that. There's probably all sorts of chemicals and metals inside that.

Probably... I was pretty worried about myself, but it seems to not be doing much more than just making me queasy.

Probably because you weren't human when you ate it. Most likely, your other half is at least partly immune to that sort of stuff. Immune enough to neutralize it at least.

Seems so. That's something I'm thankful for, at least. I wouldn't even know where to begin getting it out if it didn't.

At least you'd be keeping Lisa busy. She's gotta earn her pay somehow.
