[Karasu's decided to sit outside in the courtyard today, mostly out of a desire to actually get outside for a bit and just wanting to sit somewhere in the open, outside of the irritating (if no longer twisty) building.

While idling in the quiet has been relaxing, she's begun to sing after a while; it was to herself, at first, but she's gotten loud enough for anyone nearby to hear it if they choose... though if they let their mind wander too freely while listening, they'll end up with an almost realistic-feeling series of mental images.]

♪ In an ordinary feeling of love, my heart pounds, and I will set up my trap for you... ♫

[It's a song that was on something she snagged from one of the rooms that's gotten stuck in her head, even despite the rather... interesting meaning behind it.]

[Has a creepy, stalkerish or just plain rude valentine made it under your doorstep? Probably, at least until Bakura got lazy and stopped bothering. Regardless, do you want to express how you feel about said valentine to him? Then this is the place to do so!]

[So, those in one of the halls are being treated to a sight. Karasu, in annoyance and frustration, crushed half a wall and ate an intercom.

And it's given her a stomachache. So this particular hallway is now being completely blocked by a dragon who only just barely fits, and even then very precariously, as she's already wrecked one foundation and her mere presence has dented the ceiling and other walls.

Alternatively, a bit later on, Karasu in her human form can be found in the arcade, still with somewhat of a stomachache and sitting at one of the machines in a high-legged chair she stole found somewhere.]

[Liquid's face told a story. His face was contorted into an expression of pure confusion and moderate anger. How dare he be pulled into this place without his authority! Who had done this and why? He walked along a corridor, wondering where on earth he was. One minute he was at the Shadow Moses Island facility with Metal Gear REX, the next he was here.

Wherever here was. He strutted forward in his long greatcoat. He wore nothing to cover his well-toned chest, but wore a heavy belt secured to his combat pants. He looked like a man who had seen war and a deal of jealousy coursed through his veins. He was a man on a mission. A mission of destruction and vengeance. Liquid Snake ran a hand through his blond hair and let his gaze fall to his feet.]

Why am I here? What purpose is there for me to be here? Well, is anyone hearing this? I demand to know why I am here! [His voice rose in pitch at his last words. Anger denouncing through every word.]

[Everybody sees everyone's underpants!

By whatever sadistic, poltergeist-like conscious that ruled this place, everything that isn't undergarments has gone missing. Luckily for everyone, tank tops and socks also count as an undergarments, along with the usual.]

((ooc: event will last until the 20th~ available clothing are: socks, plain tank tops, underwear/boxers/etc. and bras. UNDERAGED CHARACTERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE AFFECTED, but if you want to that's fine too.

Have fun, tag your series title, and so on!))

[He should maybe...be picking a different spot to be napping, but hey, it's dark and he has no idea where he is so that's completely normal to do at night right?

Wouldn't be the first time you've seen some random guy laying with his arm as his pillow on the ground. If you're lucky maybe not but a guy has to sleep sometime. Maybe now wasn't one of his better choices given anyone could just stumble over him like that as he was sort of...in the way, but hey now you wouldn't do it on purpose right?

In any case there you have it; Human barrier # 1 in your path snoring away.]

[In the later afternoon, with the sun already setting in the sky, there's the sound of something deep within the building powering down. One after another the lights pop off like a domino effect down the hall, with each room following in suite as the electrical outage worked its way through the building.

It only took a matter of seconds for the Campus to be enveloped in complete, inky darkness. Even with the proper time to adjust one's vision, it was still neigh-impossible to see. There was nothing but cold, lonely blindness.

Outside, the sun set...and it didn't rise again the next morning. The only saving grace was the starry night sky and the waning moon too keep the denizens from being completely consumed by darkness.]

((The darkness has come...RUN! Everything's the same, but now both the INSIDE and OUTSIDE of the island/campus are dark. It's much easier to see outside though, thanks to the stars and moon in the sky. Characters are free to improvise light sources, but nothing electrical that needs to plug in will be functioning. If something runs on batteries, it'll last until those die.

This event will stretch until the end of Sept. 18th, feel free to tag in to this post, or to make your own threads! Have fun!))

[Surely it was too early for another announcement, right...? But then there it is, that tell-tale electronic feedback screeching through the halls before a mature female voice resonates through it.]

The doors are unlocked.

[That's all she says. Those who are curious might test the front doors...and they'll find that they open not to the seemingly civilized outskirts of town as the now vanished view from the roof may have made you think, but to the horizon. Likewise that barrier and its lies blocking anybody's escape via the roof or sky has collapsed, leaving the air a tad bit...more temperamental. You see, there was weather now.

Out from the front doors of the Campus can be see an expanse of land and then the sea. Anybody who ventures out further will find that they're still trapped, only in a bigger cage. This new cage is now five miles across the diameter at its longest point. The island itself is about as varied as it comes: covered jungles, a cave system, a single stream leading up to a freshwater lake, and a lone mountain near the center. One part near the front of the school is home to a sometimes-pleasant sandy shore ripe for the hunting sea life. Everywhere else is a perilous cliff fall into the sea.

Anybody who tries to escape via the sea will find the riptide tearing them back to a cave near the shore.]

((This event is a permanent setting expansion, you can read more about it here as well as in the island setting page near the bottom here. Have fun, if you have any questions simply address them to the OOC post, plurk, or AIM if applicable, and please don't forget to tag your series!))

[Though he arrived quite a few days ago, Matt has kept mostly to himself. Less contact with people out in meat space, the better. He's found his way around the campus with the exception of maybe the East Wing - lack of interest there, really - and settled in as well as he can. It's strange, of course, knowing that you're supposed to be somewhere else but given the recent activities of both the Saints and Luchadors, he'll take this place. Less chance of him dying.

Well, except maybe of boredom. The place is lacking in electronics and Matt is getting a little stir crazy. He's come across a couple of computers in the lounge but they've all been dead. The idea to gut them and find out just what the problem is has crossed his mind more than once but he's managed restraint; however, there's only so much he can do.

Caving, Matt disconnects and pulls one of the towers out and lowers its onto its side. He follows suit, settling down next to it and opening the pouch on his leg for a screw driver. Once the back is off, the video card comes out first. He then moves on to the RAM, continuing piece by piece until the tower is striped and he's staring down at the motherboard.]

Strange, the components are all fine. Looks like it should be working.

[With something of a pout, he grabs at the power supply he removed for closer inspection.]
