[So, those in one of the halls are being treated to a sight. Karasu, in annoyance and frustration, crushed half a wall and ate an intercom.

And it's given her a stomachache. So this particular hallway is now being completely blocked by a dragon who only just barely fits, and even then very precariously, as she's already wrecked one foundation and her mere presence has dented the ceiling and other walls.



Alternatively, a bit later on, Karasu in her human form can be found in the arcade, still with somewhat of a stomachache and sitting at one of the machines in a high-legged chair she stole found somewhere.]

Yeah, I think I've learned my lesson. It's just a little... hard to control my instincts in that form sometimes, when I'm really frustrated or angry. Not that I'd ever hurt anyone, but inanimate objects are easier.

But, Karasu... You don't need to be in that form when you get angry, do you?

No, not really. But like I said... I just snapped. After all that lady's done to us, I guess it was just too much that she wouldn't even give me a straight answer about something as simple and harmless as a rulebook that would have helped out a lot anyway.

[Her grip on Yami tightens, then relaxes as she sighs some. He's right, of course, and for the main reason she was skittish about her other form in the first place.]

...I know it's dangerous, to do that.

[It's a poor excuse, and he can tell she knows it from the sigh she gives. So he won't drive the nail in further.]

I wonder what her goals are. It doesn't seem like she's doing much beyond annoying people.

I don't know. No one does. She never talks straight; always responds to everything in circles without giving an answer. About the only thing I ever heard from her about any of this was that our goal here was to "learn." But she won't say why, or what, or why we were the ones picked to learn it. Or how we even got here.

The 'how' was probably just 'magic'. But the rest is a mystery for sure.

But what kind of magic? Is it something we can reverse? Or do we need to make a completely new spell?

If we don't know that...

If it's anything like the magic I've experienced, it won't be reversible. Only the original caster will be able to undo it. But new types of magic are always possible.

Then I suppose we'll have to figure out some spell to open the way back to where we were. Not only our own dimensions, but our own times and even locations...

[Why yes, she is very experienced with spells in her own way; or at least, she sounds like it.]

[Kai and Karasu were both magic-users, according to Karasu's words. It was making him wonder. Was this girl and her friend really associated with the Bakura they knew, or the other one? No, she was definitely not his type... she was too sweet for that. Assuming it wasn't an act, at least.]

[...Oh. OH. She understands now. Karasu gives Yami a bit of a sheepish smile, shaking her head a little.]

Sorry, my talk mostly came from thinking about spells a bit too much, since I play a lot of games. I don't actually have much magical experience at all; I can create pieces of ice, and I can cure some minor wounds, but that's all I've managed to learn how to do right now. Kai-kun is trying to teach me, but it's a little slow going to figure out what magic I can actually use that my Light-attuned nature won't reject.

[It probably sounds a little weird, saying it like that, but she's hoping he'll understand she's talking about what her dragon side has given her. It sounded a bit smoother than blurting it out bluntly in a whole other sentence, anyway.]

[Light-attuned...? That was right, the Blue-Eyes was a light-type monster, wasn't it? Then there was definitely no way she'd be associated with the spirit of the Millennium Ring. His worries eased, he relaxes a little.]

I see... What sort of games do you play?

Pretty much anything. Fighting, adventure, RPG... whatever's fun, I'll pick it up and play it! And with the arcade here now, it's a lot easier to find them, though I did manage to pick up a console and a few games from the North Wing at one point.

What about you?

A little bit of everything... but most of the games I play are hands-on, like boardgames. I've never used an electronic game other than those at the arcade back at home.

Really? Why's that? You just preferred hands-on ones?

[memorypuzzle]

I've just never encountered them. My grandfather owns a game shop that mostly deals in boardgames, so I grew up playing those.

Ah! That must have been great, growing up in that sort of place! Did you get sneak peeks at some games?

[She's so jealous of you now, man.]

Yeah, and some really old games that you can't get anywhere else, too. My grandpa used to go all over the world when he was younger, so he had some pretty rare games as well as common ones.

Ah, I'm jealous, Yugi-kun! You have to show those to me whenever we get back to Domino!
