Two for one special! [Dark & Yugi]

[With an arcade room in the Campus now, there's no way Yugi wouldn't be there. He's a little late, maybe, but he's definitely set up shop there for today, occasionally moving from game to game once he's finished playing the one he was at before.

Of course, being Yugi, there's no way he'd keep this all to himself, which means he and his other self are swapping control every so often, making finding either of them just a matter of waiting... or coming into the arcade at the right time.]


((OOC: Since I didn't want to make two posts but wanted to play them both, here's a choice for you! You can either specify which of the Yugis you want to meet (the normal one or his "other personality," Dark), or you can just leave it up to me to pick! Just remember that Dark... doesn't take kindly to people who try to actually hurt Yugi, or himself.))

[Lifting a hand, he holds it out.]

But being able to stand on equal ground... I'd like that much better.

Yugi smiles brightly, nodding and grabbing Jounouchi's hand as firmly as he can manage. It's not anywhere near the strength the other teen can make... but it's definitely stronger than before.]

Right! We can just stand together like that!

[Yugi's really grown stronger while he was here... those few months must have done him good.]

That's right! [He grips Yugi's hand firmly for a moment before letting it go.] No matter what happens, we'll handle it together.

[...Oh hey, that reminds him.]

Oh, I already have a dorm here! I can show you where it is when we're done!

Ehh? That's great! So the housing here's free, right?

Yep! You just find a dorm that's empty and you can stay in there, or you can stay with other people. It used to be where Pegasus-san and I lived, but he's gone now.

Huh...? "Pegasus"...?

[Jounouchi looks blank for a moment, then shrugs.]

Well, that's fine by me! We can be roomies!

[...he doesn't need to elaborate. Pegasus is gone, anyway.]

He's the guy who created Duel Monsters. He was a really nice person and let me stay with him so I didn't have to be in a dorm alone.

...then you've been alone since he left? That's no good!

[Yugi has just assured that Jounouchi will never move out.]

I haven't been all by myself! I've been living alone, but I made a couple of really good friends! Especially Ryou-kun! And Wren-chan is nice, too.

Ryou and Wren, huh... You'll have to introduce me sometime.

[Maybe they're cute girls. Who knows?]

I will! Ryou-kun really wants to be your friend too. It's... a little complicated, but he comes from our future, so he knew us before he came here. And I know he's sad that I don't remember him, but I promised we'd be friends still!

[He doesn't really get it, but... If this guy is one of their friends, then he can trust him.]

Then I'll be his friend too.

Great! I know Ryou-kun will be really happy about that!

[Yugi already seems to be, beaming a little.]

[They keep playing for a while longer, before they decide to check out the dorm.

When Yugi comes back from his later revisit to the arcade, Jounouchi is sprawled out on the couch, feet dangling over the arm of it.]

Hey, Yugi!

Hi, Jounouchi-kun!

[Yugi shifts on his feet a little, then cups his puzzle in both hands for a bit of courage.]

Can I... talk to you about something important?

Eh?

[Swinging upright - fast enough to make him a little dizzy - he draws his legs up and folds them beneath him.]

Of course you can! You can talk to me about anything, Yugi. You know that.

[Yugi will just sit on the table here.]

You remember I mentioned Ryou-kun... right?

Uh. That was your friend from the future, right?

Yeah. The one who was friends with all of us.

Um...

[He has no idea how to put this delicately, so he'll just be outright with it.]

Ryou-kun's got an other self that possesses him.

[WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE?! First kidnapping and then magic and that billboard talking about the giant fire-breathing kaiju rooster and now split personalities?!]

Yeah. It's a ghost in the Ring he's wearing, but he can't get rid of it. Bakura -- the ghost -- he's not a good person, even though Ryou-kun is! He hurts Ryou-kun as much as he does everybody else...

[Yugi rubs his arm through the jacket absent-mindedly at that.]

[On the one hand, ghost. On the other hand, ghost bullying one of his friends - albeit a friend he's never met, but still-]

[Lounging in the doorway, the spirit smirks over at the two of them.]

Yugi-kun, it's not nice to spread rumors! Or at least if you're going to do it, close the door properly. The dead have pretty good ears, you know~.
