[Event] Heartless Invasion (Warning: Violence)
[A simple but intense dislike for Bakura had evolved into a hatred so strong Kai almost didn't know what to do with it. He'd tried distracting himself with friends, games, his dog...nothing really seemed to help as much as practicing his magic, and then only because every time he cast it, he was pretending he was using it on the Creeper. After a while even that didn't work. It hadn't taken him long after the stabbing incident to start practicing another of his skills, and while controlling the first Shadow he'd managed to summon had been a disappointment, he'd gotten better. Good enough, in his opinion, to carry out something he'd been considering for a while, but hadn't decided on with absolute certainty until Karasu was sobbing her heart out on his couch.
Killing the bastard won't be permanent, but maybe taking his Heart will be.
After locking Surge safely in the bedroom, Kai checks one more time to make sure the Blue Eyes Keychain she made for him is hanging from his belt before heading to the door. As his hand grasps the knob, a flash of silver catches his eye; the ring 'Jem had given him. Frowning, he tugs it off and goes to hide it in a kitchen drawer. The hell he's wearing it while he does this. The thought stirs an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach, and Kai shoves it away. Time to get on with it.
Forgoing the door this time, he opens a Corridor instead, focusing on pinning down the Creeper's location. He's pretty sure...Ah. Feels like the library. A smirk touches his lips before he steps through. Bakura might be gone by the time he gets there, but it's not like it matters.]
(OOC: So, Kai's finally had enough of Bakura's crap and sorta...snapped. His intention is to go after just him, but things are going to get out of hand. Heartless will be roaming the island - a lot of them. For simplicity's sake, they'll be limited to Shadows and Neoshadows. Feel free to deal with them as you see fit, but remember, only magic (including magical weapons) or the Keyblade can destroy them.
Important notes: All event-related threads must stay in this post. If a Heartless takes your character's Heart, it counts as death; they'll revive in the clinic within three days (at least). No Nobodies are allowed to be generated if your character becomes a Heartless.
Kai should hopefully slip back into the land of sanity within a few hours of starting this fiasco, and he'll start cleaning up his mess then. Mostly hunting down the suckers, but he can do rescues too if needed. It may take him a few days to catch any stragglers.)

The thought flashes in his mind. Risk-taker or not, he knows what these things can do. He doesn't understand how Kai has control over them now or why he's suddenly acting like a big-shot villain, but he's heard enough and seen enough of them to know this is one of the most dangerous scenarios possible for his host. If they take Ryou's heart, will his host come back? The presumption of setting them on him pisses him off! What good was his idiot vessel if he couldn't even be counted on to keep people like Kai from causing trouble for him?!
Slamming his foot against the edge of the table, he uses it to shove himself backwards, the chair collapsing to the floor as he uses the momentum to roll to his feet. It's just in time. One of the creatures had already come close enough to jump at him, landing on the table.
His instinct is to go for his knife, but that would be useless; penalty games won't work on something that doesn't have the mental capabilities to play, and even his sleep-inducing ability takes time. And those little bastards are quick. The question is, can they hurt him other than trying to devour his heart? The ones he saw before passed right through. But Kai had said those were just memories, or something like that.
Three options remain. And one of them might not work on creatures like that. But all he can do is try.
Focusing, he draws the darkness around him, bringing the library into the World of Darkness. The helpless moans of the damned fill the air as it grows thick and difficult. A normal being would be drained by this. The question is, will they?]

Wait a second...what's the Creeper doing now? The frown slips away, Kai looking honestly surprised for a second as the Darkness around them changes. Huh. He wasn't expecting that. Whatever's going on, it's not affecting the Heartless like Bakura might've hoped. If anything, it seems to excite them, and their aggression rises a little. Okay, maybe he doesn't need the Neoshadows. Yet.]
This is neat. Sure it was such a good idea though?
[The surroundings aren't bothering Kai in the least, and he's pretty much tuning out the moaning. He's heard worse before.]

[He has to move faster to dodge now, and one of them successfully lands a hit as he does. He glances down at the crimson tinting his arm.
And he smiles.]

[The laughter rises up out of nowhere even as the darkness of the dark world dissipates.]

[The Seven-Armed Demon bursts into existence as he calls it forth. With an unearthly screech, it strikes out at the Heartless surrounding them.]

[It comes out in a hiss as Kai moves away, trying to see around the mess in front of him. Where's a good-
Ha. There's a portal behind the Creeper suddenly, and the Neoshadow lunging out of it with claws outstretched is aiming right for his back. Don't miss, don't miss...]

Come forth! Earl of Demise!
[Letting the zombie-like creature fight them off, he draws out Dark World Lightning and casts it, clearing a path. The light and heat almost blinds him, leaving spots of energy in his vision, but that's okay. He doesn't need to see for this plan. Even as the explosion of light scatters the shadows around him, the Demon seizes him, picks him up and carries him off into the air. The roof of this room is too low to be safe, and going for the doors will only lead to the halls. There's only one good way to get out of here. Looping his arms around the Demon's neck for support, he smirks down at the chaos in the room.]
Earl of Demise! Night Raid!
[The Earl's sword slices the air, sending a wave of energy towards the windows with the intent of breaking them - and the wall around them - enough to let them pass through.]

Bakura's not the only one that's almost blinded; Kai throws up an arm to protect his eyes, wincing. He'd thought the light outside that day with Tenar had been too bright, this was-
Why does it sound like someone just made a new door.
His arm drops and Kai blinks several times, noting the now-broken windows and a sizable chunk of missing wall. Great. Most of his creepies are wiped out, with some Neoshadows milling in a confused fashion.]

With this clear weather, it's no difficulty hanging around outside for a while. But for Kai to have dared to try to do something like that... especially with his host body at risk... Tch, he'd penalty game the kid if he wasn't so fun to rile up. For Kai to go this far implied he was slipping further down the path of darkness. You had to accept a little attempted murder for entertainment like that!
That didn't mean he wouldn't probably try for revenge at some point. But firstly, he had to tend to the claw wounds he'd gotten, and make up a plan for how to handle things when Kai inevitably tried again. Letting the demon set him on his feet on the roof, he sinks down to sit there and rifles through his pocket for something he can use as a bandage.
Nothing, huh... Oh well. He'll just let it bleed. He's not Ryou, after all. He won't freak out over a single wound.]
